  • "We have been here twice, the second time in hopes that the food would be better...NOT. The appetizer was room temperature at best and tasted like t had been sitting awhile. When we received our entrees the garlic mash potatoes looked like they had been sitting too. Not creamy or fluffy. The outer potatoes were crusty and the inside was dry. The green beans were over cooked and cold. The steak was okay and so was the prime rib. The food just tasted like it had been sitting around and not freshly cooked. We will not be back to this Stuart Andersen's. The food is much better at the Montclair location."

My husband and I were celebrating our birthday dinners and we couldn't have asked for a better night. We've eaten at Black Angus in San Bernardino over the past several years and enjoyed it but this evening just seemed to be the best we've had."

  • "We took my sister to dinner here for her birthday. As I had recalled, the food was good and I like the high booths. However, our waitress was very loud and rather ditsy, so it took away from what we thought it was going to be. Also, my sister and her husband both ordered the rib eye steak. When it came, it was no thicker than a hamburger patty. - and we paid good money for that? I don't think we'll be back any time soon. There are too many other better places to spend our money and have our celebrations."

  • "First of all, environment was great. My friends and I loved how the booths had high walls to provide us privacy and to eliminate some of the noise from other tables. We had nice table conversations without having to talk loud. On the not so great side, three of us ordered steaks cooked medium and all came out nearly well done. My pregnant wife also ordered a filet migion that literally crumbled when she cut it. Not quit sure what kind of steak it was but not a filet migion. I just expected a better quality of steaks for $20+ price. I've had better from local grocery store. Since we do not live in the area, I'm inclined to try one of our local BA restaurants to see if there's a difference."

  • "Made a reservation for 6:30 for TWO. Was seated pretty close to that -ordered appetizer w water order and then food when waitress brought water. Took over an hour to get our food. We eat at Black Angus occasionally but will never again. Horrible. Worst service ever with no explanation as to why our food was taking so long-Extremely loud party as well going on the entire time. Needed a separate room. "

  • "We were celebrating a late Mother's Day. My parents are in their 80's and still have a depression era mentality, they love the Black Angus because of their coupons. They always feel like they are getting a "good deal" because the coupons allow them to get a three course meal for two at a discounted price. The problem is the entree that is included in this "deal" is almost always sub-par. I can't speak on the chicken choice, but one of us did order the salmon and it was not only very good but also a huge portion. However this is a steakhouse so most will order a red meat selection and there in lies the problem. It seems like the red meat selections they serve you are scraps they have trimmed off the regular portions of red meat menu items. "

  • "Overall the food and service were good. We went with a group of eight people with ages ranging from ten to sixty and everyone ordered something different (appetizers,ribs, chicken, burgers, prawns, prime rib.) The selection was good for everyone, and the waitress was good with the whole group. The only drawback was the prime rib. When it arrived it clearly was not the weight advertised and they called the manager to the table to deal with it. She was polite, took it back to the kitchen to actually weigh it, and returned with a slightly larger cut. Still, for this being a "steak house" the quality of the prime rib was definitely lacking. I have had a better cut and quantity at places like Carrow's."

  • "My husband and I go out for dinner every Friday night. We have used your promotional coupons and that is what brought us there the first time. Great values and if we arrive early enough we can take advantage of happy hour in ordering my favorite wine at a great price. The food is always good and the steaks are very good. I had Salmon on Sunday and it was perfect. My husband is picky about his food being warm and he had no complaints. Portions are plentiful to always provide us with leftovers for next day breakfast. "

  • " I booked this restaurant on line for Mother's Day. When we arrived at the restaurant they told us our table was being set up. Within 5 minutes our table was ready. The service was good...maybe a little slower than normal...because it was extremely crowded for the holiday. Overall we had a great experience. Our waitress was very nice and attentive."

  • "The experience was very good. The service was prompt and courteous, the food was well prepared, and the ambiance was as quiet and relaxing as was possible on such a busy holiday. I like the design of the restaurant--the winding aisles make it possible to dine in relative privacy in booths with high partitions. The lay-out of the restaurant keeps the noise level at a minimum, even when it is crowded. The menu is varied so as to appeal to practically any preference, and the bread pudding is the best I have ever had."

  • "We wanted to go out to dinner for a good meal so we choose Black Angus. We booked our reservation through Open Table. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated almost immediately. We ordered our drinks and appetizer shortly after we sat down. The appetizer was brought to us within approximately 7-8 mins, before our drinks even arrived. Most of the food was way overcooked. We then ordered our meal, which was delivered after about 30 minutes of waiting. It is terrible to have to wait that long for your meal. The server never once gave us a status update or told us why it was taking so long. Overall - terrible service. The server was nice, but when you're hungry nice doesn't matter."

  • "We come here about once a month. My wife liked her small fillet. I ordered the rack of lamb special. I ordered a half rack after being told that I get 4 chops. When they came, there were four chops, however two had virtually no edible meat on them. I was told that if I want more I should order a full rack. It was a poor experience for my entree, however the artichoke appetizer was great and my wife's entree was very good. "

  • "A few months ago I had signed up for the Black Angus Prime Club. Soon after that I forgot I had even visited the website. Two weeks before my birthday, I received a surprise in my inbox: a coupon for a FREE steak dinner! WOW!! I called in reservations for four and invited some friends to go with my wife and me. What a great time and what a wonderful meal. At the end of the meal the server surprised us with a huge birthday chocolate chip cookie, fresh from the oven, served ala mode with candle and a singing group of servers. Memorable. We will be back. ...FOR SURE... Making our reservations through OpenTable made the experience easy as pie. I wish all restaurants were connected to the OpenTable reservation system."

We will come back again but this was the second time my chicken strips have not been cooked through. The other time was several years ago.   • "Made reservations online for Black Angus for the day after Valentines day , Feb 15th, at 6:30 PM. Bad mistake because the place was "loaded" with people stacked all over the place, waiting for tables. Best guess would be 75+ people waiting all around the front - inside - outside. Absolutely no where too sit to wait comfortably. Note to self: DO NOT go the Saturday after Valentines day. Waited 35 minutes to be seated. Waitress was very nice and at tentative to us. The kitchen however must have been maxed out. we ordered all of our items at one time. appetizer took 20 minutes. Main meal took almost 1 hour from time of seating. A lot of time spent just sitting and waiting for food. My 16 oz ribeye was perfect for me. My wifes was not tender."
