Enjoyed entire time. Dinner host, bartender, food sever all friendly professional assets to the Black Angus family. Food was excellent. Only problem with the enjoyment of our dinner was having to constantly swat at the flying nats.

Black Angus is very consistent. Salads are crisp and fresh, meat is tender and done as requested. Always lots more food than I can eat, but great the next day. Prices are reasonable.

Had not been there in a very long time. It is a neighborhood restaurant with a predominantly older clientele or families with a great number of children between 4-8 P.m. and very noisy. The hostess and servers are predominantly very young high school or college kids. The steak selection did not include New York Steak and they did not "Char" the outside and serve medium rare the inside of my filet mignon. Large portions of standard recipe food with a simple wine list. Overall if you're looking for steakhouse with ordinary food and service at a minimum of $25.oo per person including a glass of wine with your meal go to the Black Angus of Pleasant Hill. .

The service was subpar. It took our server a long time to bring us stuff (water, wine, appetizers, etc). The food was just okay too. I ate 1/2 of my rib eye steak and my salad. The green beans was overly salted and had a funny licorice taste to them so I didn't eat them. My partner had the filet and ate that but did not care for the mushrooms. I think the biggest issue was hearing the manager visit with his friend at the table next to us. He brought them their check and told them he gave them a "big discount". I thought that was kind of inappropriate to say within earshot of other customers. These are just my thoughts. I don't go to Black Angus often and I can tell you that I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon again.

I have been here many times over the last 20+ years. Food and service is always predictably good. In the past, waiting for a table has always been pretty slow, but this time we used OpenTable… no wait at all! The prices have been creeping up considerably and is borderline worth it now. Black Angus is charging near SF prices for a local chain now. I will have to reconsider my options in the future. For a party of 4, with (1 each) drinks and tip, the total was about $180.00.

Can't have too much complaint about the food. Is a typical family restaurant where you can get what you want. The only thing I have is against their booth. Is too hard to get in & out for 5 person and one of their is senior.

This used to be my favorite restaurant, but it has been going downhill. We had lobster which was terrible, it says grilled but was boiled to a hard bland peice of plastic. It was my wife's birthday. They give a giant chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and a candle normally. I wrote on my reservation and also told the host that seated us it was her birthday. The server brought the check and I had to say it was her birthday which was embarassing. Due to this the server got a 15 dollar tip instead of the 50 I would have given her. I don't believe I will be going there again unless I hear of improvemnets

I've always linked Black Angus booth setup that gives you some privacy from other diners and reduces noise. The food is good and if you watch for a regular coupon you can get a good dinner value called the Campfire Feast (shared appetizer, 2 dinners with 2 sides each, and a shared desert). We go regularly.

Sat us next to noisy group when there were plenty of other open tables. Waiter got orders wrong on multiple times. Didn't bring condiment I asked for. Waiter lacks confidence and customer service skills. Managers passed us 5 times and didn't check on how things were. The bill was wrong and overcharged items.

The fire-grilled prawns were just as delicious as the last time we had ordered them there. The vegetables (green beans and also broccoli) were neither over- or undercooked and we enjoyed every bite. We loved the molasses bread and ate every last crumb. Our server was pleasant, friendly, and most accommodating. We both are looking forward to another meal at Black Angus

Service was slow -waited a long time before ordering and for food delivery. My steak was so tough that I returned it (only 2nd time in my life I have done that). 2nd steak was also tough. People at the next table sent back their 3 steaks for the same reason. What's going on with the meat there? The manager credited us $20 for my bad steak but I didn't go there for a credit, I went there for good meal. This was a special time for our family with my 90 year old Mother and my brother and sister-in-law who had come in from WA state. We used to eat here all the time and it was good. Will find other places to eat now. Very disappointed.

The waitress was very attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed the wine, however not a great selection. The steaks, fish, prime Rib were very good and cooked to order. The baked potatoe needed about another 5 minutes as the middle of the potatoe was a bit hard. The salad was nice and fresh. Overall a good experience and we will return. The manager did come around and ask his guests how we were enjoying the meal. That is a sign of a good manager who cares about his guests experience. Thank you

I'll start by saying that it was a good idea to make a reservation, as this place gets pretty crowded on Friday night. I ordered the prime rib and lobster dish; the prime rib was delicious but unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the lobster. The lobster was definitely overcooked and pretty tough, so I only ate half of it.

I Made reservations because I know this place gets busy. However when we arrived and told them we had reservations we had to wait until everyone that was there before us was seated. The couple who arrived in front of us told the girl they did not have reservations and were seated before us. So this place is first come first served. Will need to find another place for dinner.
