  • "We went out with a large group of family members. Our goal was to find a restaurant where we could hear each other speak. Not an easy task these days! We had some older members in our group. This restaurant was quiet, private with high booths and the food was great. But most of all, we could actually get to know our family members that we had not seen in quite some time in an environment that was like sitting at our dining table at home. We went around 5 PM and took our time. Thank you Black Angus Metro for a peaceful evening. This would also be a great place to take a first date. Not fancy. We liked the prime rib and mud pie."

We know it would be crowded, but..... apparently our waitress left, and we were left sitting at our table for a good 30 min before we asked what was going on, another waitress said she would check, she finally offered to take our order and help us, as it was quite obvious our waitress had up and left! So thankfully the food was excellent, or it would not have been worth the wait. Just wish someone had told us that she had left and offered to help us without us asking."

  • "I have eaten at this restaurant before, I usually really like the steak, but this time everything was horrible, probably due to understaffing and the fact it was Valentine's day. My issue is that the staff I dealt with seemed irritated by the number of people and how busy it was. I work retail so I understand how difficult it can be, but this is the job YOU signed up for, and restaurants are generally busy on special days and holidays, quit if you can't deal."

  • "Had reservations for V day fot 9:45, had to wait so we sat at the bar for a drink. We asked for a Bahama Mama, didnt know how to make it, had to ask another bartender, wife did not like her drink. we still paid $17 for a drink and a beer plus her $3 tip. We were seated around 10:30, had to remind them. We ordered the Camp fire feast. The wagon wheel sampler was good, but it went down hill from there. There was no bread available due to high demand???,we got this from a passing by waitress, ours didnt even offer any bread (my wife loves the bread) and we even had to take the bread from the table across from us cause they didnt want it (it was their 2nd helping and we werent even offered a first). The girl didnt seem interested in our table."

  • "I don't quite understand the concept of making a reservation then STILL waiting 45 minutes for your table. Most resturants would at least offer a complimentary drink at the bar, something to alleviate the wait. No, here it was, "It'll be 45 minutes....next." Next our server kept promising us their appetizer bread which "was just put in the oven." Everyone around was getting bread... Long story short, I can't recommend this place to anyone for anything and we won't be going back."

  • "Parking is hard to find. Luckily, someone was pulling out as we arrived or we would have had to circle the parking lot. The food was very good. Although my wife found her prime rib to be too fatty. The appetizer-wagon wheel sampler platter- could have been a meal in itself. We took part of it home for the kids. The sides were wonderful. Soup and salads were fresh. We even noticed pieces of blue cheese in the dressing- wonderful. The best side-in my opion- is the au gratin potates. These definately aren't the box kind. Desert- mocha pie- was good but not great. Day would have been better if we were seated at our reservation time. If you plan to go on Valentine's Day, make a reservation, and prepare to wait."

  • "We had reservation & still had to wait 25 mins.I understood its v-day.finally get our table and there are roses on the table.i knew these weren't my roses since my fiance didn't even know where this place was located & i already received flowers earlier.The guy comes to our table and says are those my flowers my fiance better not see those & i want them on my table.this would've been embarrassing if i didn't know those weren't our flowers.We ordered our food right away.we got our app in good time but no silverware.asked for some & the girl tells me i had to go all the way in the back & get them. ok. thanks? didn't get bread till our soup and salad came.It took forever for us to get our steak dinner and weren't in the mood for it by then."

  • "Valentine's Day res. for 7 pm. I understand this is a busy day what I don't understand is the inability to plan for this especially if an establishment allows reservations. You walk in/tell the hostess name and res. time and she simply tells you "you're checked in". There's a crowd standing in the lobby and also near the front booths (disrupting the privacy for those people, as others wait and watch for their own dinner).Then we heard it's an hour wait even if you have reservations! This is unacceptable! We were taken back just before 8 pm. The waitress ran from table to table, sat at booth to catch her breath and rang our bill wrong. Will not go back again for a special occasion. Dont accept reservations if you can't accomodate!!"

  • "We dined with friends and the dinner (food) was outstanding. We were seated in the bar area because one of the people in our group has back problems and has trouble with booths. The servers were very helpful in getting us a table for 6 in the bar area. This did have its downside as the chairs were not padded at all and after sitting for 1 1/2 hrs we were all pretty stiff. We had arrived at 5:30 and the noise level of the bar music was just fine. About 1 hour into our dinner someone turned up the volume of the music and it then was not as nice."

  • "We knew that a Friday Valentine's Day was going to be busy. That is why we made reservations 10 days before hand. We arrived at the restaurant and saw that parking was nowhere to be found. I dropped my wife off to check in and parked at a shopping center across the street. When I found my wife, I learned that the restaurant said that they were going to be a little behind because of the number of people there. Th at ended up being 1 hour and 15 minutes. I checked after about 45 minutes (after being told it would be 20) and was told that we would be the next ones seated. After 4 other parties were seated, I listened as a lady complained that they had been waiting for 45 minutes and watched them find a table for her. We won't go back."

  • "What is the point of having a reservation, then being told they are 20 mins behind on resevations only to be seated an hour and 15 mins after the reservation time. It was Valentines Day but it should have been better organized with reservations. To be that busy they should have done reservations only and sat others after a set time. Like reservations only from 530-830 pm and open seating the remainder of the evening. I would recommend this place for food but not on a busy night or to make reservation. Also charged different prices on my martini when i went to the bar to order my own drink because the waitress was busy and didnt come back right away and the price charged by the waitress when she finally did take another drink order."

  • "I made reservation with Black Angus for Valentines Day. Unfortunately I was running late, but due to the date and an influx of guests, so were they. My husband and I arrived almost an hour late and our reservation was still honored. We were seated immediately! Service was excellent (Brea was fantastic). The food was very good with portion sizes that left us full and satisfied. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat. Sherry Smith"

  • "Dinner for 6 Was my grandmas 81st b-day. James R was great to start, but very slow with appetizer,refills, and salads came minutes before dinner And prebussed stacked plates when i asked. He got busy but we were not well taken care of as i hoped. Great personality, but that doesnt fix it. We also ordered mushrooms as a side for our dinner,the mgr said he got them since first batch was overcooked, then james came n said sorry he forgot to order them. This is my grandmas favorite place, i was not happy being in the industry with our service. I had a 140.00 tab then a $30 tip cuz thats what was what it should be. Still very unhappy overall. No desire to return anytime soon. No desire to come back now."

  • "I decided to have our annual company Xmas party here. Waitress was outstanding and couldn't be any more helpful than she was. On top of her great service she also had a great personality. The only issue I had with the restaurant is our reservation was for 20 people and they put us on three different areas. We couldn't all sit together which was unfair to the ones who could not sit at the table with everyone else. I'm thinking I would not go there for a big party. I would more than likely go back just for my family or a small group. I wish I could remember the waitress's name but we were the Zaragoza party for 20."
