Loved the broccolli with cheese, wedge salad, loaded potato skins...and the steaks are tasty and well seasoned...and cooked perfectly! We had filets and prime rib -loved it! It was extremely crowded on a Saturday night, so service took a while. But that's okay --we had fun talking!"

  • "We read the reviews, we know their reputation, but coupons sometimes make it worth it. 2 of us shared the Campfire for 2 dinners and with an appetizer, dessert, 2 sides and an entree, it was a good deal. You have to take in mind the main dish quality is very mediocre, not the best quality steaks. And while the shrimp appetizer was very good, tastewise, it looked like someone hacked the veins out of the back, except for the one that still had it. The service was very good, the waitress was friendly. Would we come back? Yeah, probably, in another year or two."

Do your self a favor and sign up on-line and make reservations etc. there. It really made my visit there a good one from start to finish."

  • "We dined at Black Angus for my birthday. It was recommended by a friend, but we didn't enjoy our experience very much. The food was somewhat tasteless and although our waitress was very friendly, it seemed as though there weren't enough people to serve diners in a timely fashion. There were long pauses between courses. We were there almost 2 hours for a relatively simple meal. I don't think we will be back. In addition, although the reservation included a note that this was to be a birthday celebration, the waitress knew nothing of it until we told her."

  • "For years, my family has been going to Black Angus for special family celebrations. This past week, we had dinner at the Northridge location after some months absence. We were terribly disappointed. The prices have risen DRAMATICALLY and the portions were obviously cut back. I ordered the "special" halibut for $26.99 with some trepidation due to price and when it arrived I was stunned: a 4"x4" square of obviously pre-frozen fish that looked like something you get at McDonalds. The additional asparagus was thick and woody and had to be returned. All the potatoes that were served our party were too salty. We were really heartbroken that we had lost our favorite restaurant. We will NEVER return..."

  • "We were seated upon arrival thanks to the OpenTable reservation. Both steaks we ordered were not prepared as ordered. We ordered one steak to be medium-well and one medium-rare. The medium-well order was medium-rare, and the medium-rare arrived rare. The Steak was delicious otherwise, and the sides were prepared appropriately. The verdict is still out on this one, maybe next time they will do better with the steaks."

  • "There are plenty of steakhouses in town and while Black Angus is a touch more affordable it's just not worth the savings. The food was okay, but we were bloated for hours after eating there which tells me they put a lot of sodium in the food. In addition, the place was full of crying babies and screaming children whose parents didn't seem to care that they behaved this way. I would rather pay a little bit more at a restaurant without as many kids and with much better food."

We order: 16 oz Guiness Draft each (Yummy), Fully loaded potato soup each, Shrimp/Prawns and Steak with fully loaded baked potato OR Shrimp/Prawns and Roast Beef with fully loaded baked potato. We drink the Guiness, enjoy the soup, eat half of the Baked Potato and all of the Shrimp/Prawns - take the meat and remainder of baked potato home for dinner with a vegetable the next night. No dessert. Wonderful! Every time and time again. After you join the loyalty club, you will receive frequent coupons. We love going there for "Date nite" because we know the food will be tasty. Don't forget to try the "Flourless Chocolate Cake". It's sweet, secret gem on their menu."

I left a message about making a reservation that night but never received a call back. I ask for a confirmation, but nothing happened. This has happened twice with Balck Angus once in Burbank ( I left a take out orer but they never checked the voice mail) and now in Northridge. Not very good business."

A birthday surprise was delivered to the table along with a rousing serenade from the group of happy servers. It was a wonderful experience.   • "I made reservations for 7:45PM. The restaurant was extremely crowded with people being told a 2 - 3hour wait was normal. I waited my turn for the host and presented my reservation confirmation I printed from my email. The host could not find my name or confirmation number. No problem, the host honored my reservation confirmation and entered it into the system. He ask me where I originally made the reservation and I told him Black Angus website. After a 30 minute wait, we were seated. The food was good, but the choices seemed a bit limited. I would have liked a Rib-Eye steak combined with lobster or shrimp. Also, would have liked a refill on my lemonade. As expected, the noise level was loud. Overall experience was very nice."

  • "We made reservations about a month in advance and we had to wait almost 45 minutes to sit down. When we got our food, it wasn't as good as it use to be. They no longer have the dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries and my boyfriend's ribeye contained about 70% fat. When we got our dessert, there wasn't enough ice cream on the lava cake. Take about a total rip! I wish we could get a refund!"

Food is usually very good, this case was no exception. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. They have a bar/open area for people that would want to have groups or a more vibrant bar scene, but that's not what brings my wife and I into the restaurant."

  • "I got a special deal coupon in a flyer, steak and shrimp for $16.99 so I decided to go for it. I am a foodie and I wouldn't generally describe Black Angus as a destination for foodies. I have to say the steak AND broccoli were VERY flavorful and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp was a bit overcooked and mushy but for the price I will overlook that. Also, the server was sweet. I will definitely go back, especially with a coupon!"
