This was one of the worst dining experiences that I have had in a very long time. We made a reservation online, got there, seated within a few minutes. A party of only 4, we were NEVER given water, it took 25 minutes to get our drinks (pop and lemonade). We were there 60 minutes before being served our dinner. My husband told the waiter that it was our 12 yr old sons birthday and all he did was say happy birthday, even though we could hear others being sang to within the restraunt. Our sons asked for a lemonade refill and were given a cup of lemonade and a cup of ice and had to pour them together themselves into their mug. $114.00 for 4 people, we should have had a much better experience than this.

We have been going to BA for over 40 years. But this time it was not as good and not sure we will be back. For starters, the Caesar salad was bit cold and crisp as it ususally is. I had a rib eye steak and it was tough and no flavor. This is not good for a steak house. The lobster was rubbery. We had a party of five and only got one little loaf of bread. The Au gratin potatoes were wonderful, but that was about all. Very disappointed.

We've been to the Black Angus for years. It used to be our "go-to" mid-price steakhouse. Sadly, it's gone a bit downhill. The loaf of molasses bread has shrunk to the size of a large dinner roll (to share with 3 people); soft lighting is gone. Salad now counts as one of your sides. We were seated in the SPORTS BAR (when I had asked for a booth on the reservation). Not my idea of a quiet meal to celebrate my husband's promotion with my son. They did, however, move us to a booth when one opened up. Service was "okay"--wrong bottle of wine, spilled dressing, no refill on soft drinks. Ambience just not there. Waitress seemed worn out; tired. Steaks tasted fine, but sides were small & unimpressive.

I always enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. We both tried one of the special steak offerings and neither were dissappointed with the steaks or sides. The included dessert was lacking. An ice cream sandwich - the ice cream was lacking in flavor. The service was adequate but more attention could have been given to minor things like dining utensils and sweetner for tea. On the other hand, my special requests for the wedge salad were handled as requested. Over all - a very nice experience.

Want a steak dinner without breaking the bank? Black Angus is your choice. Sure, it's not Daniel's by a longshot. They don't have the haute cusine offerings, just basic steaks, veggies and bar appies, but it also costs about 1/4 what Daniel's does. Oh, and Daniel's doesn't have garlic cheese bread. Nuff said. Excellent, attentive service, your drink glasses will always be as full as you want them. Oh, and try their in-house Bullseye Brew, it's very tasty.

Carla B. was our server. She was wonderful! She was prompt, but not pushy. I cannot have dairy and I was having a hard time figuring out what I could eat. She gave me some recommendations and told me she could have the cook prepare my food without butter, cheese, ect. She was so easygoing and friendly. Her customer service skills are awesome. You should have more people like her. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as I make at home so we decided to head home for the rest of our meal.

We took our neighbor out for dinner. Meal was delicious. Everything was fine until I tried to pay the bill. I used a 30 0/0 off coupon, bonus bucks and $100 gift card: 1st time - one receipt reflected discount but final receipt didn't reflect bonus bucks; 2nd time - server asked another server to re-do, this time bonus bucks were reflected but not the discount and; 3rd time - manager comes and tries to explain step by step how the mistakes occurred rather than apologizing, correcting the mistakes and presenting me with the correct bill to pay - kinda cast a pall over what is normally very good service!

If you want a steak that will melt in your mouth, you must go to the Black Angus. They are generous in their servings and the food is absolutely delicious. We go there particularly for their Filet Mignon. The staff is very kind and courteous. They offer coupons and also if you sign up for it a free meal on your birthday with another meal of equal value.

We ordered 3 filets all rare, they cqme out at three different levels of medium to medium - well. The steak had silverskin throughout and was very bland and had to be doused in steak sauce to have any flavor. The asparagus was ok, but a bit charred. The service was a bit slow at the end of our meal.

I went to this restaurant for dinner party with my coworkers. Food is more delicious than I expected. I think that the tastes is as good as Keg. I ordered full pound prime rib. The volume is enough, and I take leftover to home. Price is not less expensive. But I think that it is reasonable accounting for the taste.

We eat there all the time love the campfire feast great for a family of four. However this last time the new York steaks were undercooked when they arrived and very tough. After sending the meat back we got burnt meat and very fatty. Could not eat had to take it home to the dogs. My daughters went in to check in while I looked for parking. Half the parking lot was taken up with oversize furniture trucks and only two handicap spots. The host was rude saying he called our names however the girls did not respond. His quote was "I have a booming voice". My family was outside waiting in the rain with about 50 other customers and no one came out side to get them. Worst time we have ever had.

  • Manager was a Joke

I had a 6:30 reservation. My long wait by the hostess station proved the hostesses and manager were completely incompetent. The manager yelled at the hostess at least three times for seating the wrong people, including a WALK-IN party of TEN! Not only was 'the wrong' party of ten seated before the rest of us with reservations, the manager also felt the need to sneak in the other party of ten before we were seated. After witnessing this - and about twenty groups being told they had five minutes - I went to the manager at 7:05. I was shown a wad of tickets and told I was next - no apology for the wait. Six more tables were sat while the rest of us with reservations continued to wait. At 7:20 my father and I were sat in the loud bar.

I made reservations for 6pm on the 15th of June, we waited till 6:25pm to be seated. We were seated at a table for 4, which was a tad bit crowded. We watched folks being seated that came in and said they had a reservation but it could not be found. That is the oldest trick in the book. So you make friends with the folks that come in with no reservation and tick folks off that had a reservation. There were folks that were seated at a table for 8, with a party of 3. Need to learn not to seat people early with no reservation in hopes they will be gone by the time the reservations start showing up. I have never seen such thin Rib Eye Steaks in my life.

The dinner for two was perfect, more than enough food for two. I was disappointed that you no longer carry Reisling. The teri tops were cooked to perfection and the service was great. There was a man that had a few too many cocktails at a table near us,that became pretty obnoxious. I mentioned this to the server, but nothing was done about it. As a matter of fact, he was served two more drinks! Lucky for us, he drank them very quickly and then left.

We visit the Black Angus for special occasions since it is a bit out of the way for us. Special occasions include birthdays and whenever my whole family is available (rare) and decide on the same restaurant (not so rare when it comes to the Black Angus!). Being able to make reservations with Open Table really is a plus because the lobby is pretty full on weekends. Other pluses besides the great menu selection and perfectly cooked steaks is the occasional coupon they offer in the paper (saved me $32!) and the bonus mileage points on the Chase card! Definately will return again!

We brought our daughter here for her graduation dinner. We had a party of 10. I reserved ahead of time. Our service was terrible...took over 15 minutes to get kids menus. My son got the wrong sides with his meal, myself and my mother-in-law ordered steaks to be cooked medium, they were served well done, very tough and only slightly warm. The tv's were so loud we could hardly carry on conversation. As we looked around the area where we were seated it was very apparent that none of the guests were even engaged in the tv. The area was not busy at all. We requested to have them turned down via the manager and our server but it never happened. We were very disappointed. The last few times we have visited this location we have been disappointed.
