Black Angus is known for their steak, and they do it well. Every visit I have found their steaks to be flavorful and tender. Their seafook, however, is not always the same quality. On my latest visit, the lobster was dry and fairly tasteless. The dipping "butter" was watered down with, I assume with vegetable oil, or something similar. The best thing about Black Angus is the arrangement of the booths, that allows for a little privacy and cuts the noise.

We had planned this reservation to thank a friend. It happened to be his birthday the next day. They gave him the birthday treatment and the service was consistently great throughout the night. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely go there again on my next evening out with my friends. :o)

We had the Campfire Feast for two, Wagon wheel sampler platter, Salad, Prime Rib, Mud Pie and a glass of wine. In general the food was good, at least there was plenty of it. The two things that stuck in my mind were the potato skins in the appetizer were still a little cold on the inside. The next thing, I felt the plates were not adequately heated as the prime rib cooled off rather quickly although the meat was very tasty. I would like to see a little more time between entrees, we barely started with the platter when the salad came and we hadn't finished with the salad and the Prime Rib showed up. Being we were in a two person booth it was a rather crowded table, I felt rushed.

Black Angus appears to withstand the test of time as they've been around for years. An occasional trip doesn't disappoint, especially when you have a coupon for their Campfire Feast for two. Overall, it's a good restaurant, with good food and being close to home. Lunch during the weekends, is low key and quiet. Game nights are rambunctious and lively. Definitely worth a try if you've been happy with a previous visit.

the service was bad. Had to ask for bread and when we finally got our meal, my Mothers steak was not done correctly and her baked potato was cold. I ordered the Filet and rice only to get just over 1 tablespoon of rice on my plate. we had to wait until Mom's food came back done over to even start eating. The manager did give us 2 of the 3 dinners off the bill but I would question coming back

To start off they seated two parties, after we arrived with a reservation, before us. Steak was over cooked, should have been Medium (pink inside) was well done (brown all the way through). What a way to ruin a nice filet. Lobster tail was tough around the edges and stringy. Guess everyone has an off night, this was one of them.

Steaks are of a good cut and aged well however they lack seasoning, i realize purists may not like seasoning on steak but I prefer it to have some salt and pepper at minimum and its not the same if its not cooked in. Loaded baked potatoes were on the dry side. Service was ok, we did wait a while or refills and for A1 for my wife was forgotten until I reminded her. She was very friendly and did a good job overall. For the price and rating I would expect a better experience. We may try again.

Still had to wait 10 minutes for our Sat. 5:30 reservation. Seated by the entrance door and could hear every patron going in and out of the restaurant as the door was banging constantly behind my wife's seat. Waited a long time before they took our drink order and another 20 minutes before served the drinks to us after asking the manager to check on our order. Dinner came before our misplaced appetizers and then service went downhill from there. I give it a 3 out of 10 as the waitress was trying to keep up to an early busy Saturday night. Sad that she was apologizing to all the tables in her section. Manager can be more professional/helpful and ontop of his servers.

It was VERY noisy, so would not recommend if seeking a quiet, intimate/romantic setting. The food was reliably good, as expected. We had made a reservation and arrived on time, but were not seated for another half hour. The manager sent us a complimentary appetizer, which was a nice gesture.

The food at this place is always outstanding, however, I have noticed the prices going up and the portion sizes going down. The last straw was the last time we were here, I was informed by the waiter that they have started charging $1.00 for an ounce of barbeque sauce (Who doesn't like barbeque sauce with their chicken strips? Also, they used to be $5.99 but raised to $9.99 and you only get 5 chicken strips instead of 6 to share with 2 people!). I even asked the manager if she would be kind enough to trade in the two sauces that I didn't want for the one I did want and she said she couldn't do that. So, I will bring my own barbeque sauce next time. It's these little nickel and dime charges that irk me, prices are too high already.

Been to this restaurant more than once, service has always been good. Family style restaurant, so sometimes kid noise vs group noise, it's a casual atmosphere and you feel like you can enjoy your family, your friends, your date or your evening alone. The food is very good and the molasses bread is to die for. They cook your steaks the way you order them and the meat is good quality to start with. Shrimp and salmon are equally good. Look for the frequent, very valuable coupons and save.

This was our first time here, and heard it was good. Being from Texas, perhaps my expectations of a steakhouse were too high. The food was mediocre and not worth the prices. Steaks and Chops not cooked to order, and the side dishes are just spruced up frozen sides it appears. In addition, the service was lackluster. Very slow, including our food arriving before we had silverware....yes I asked twice. Our server never came back to see if our food was delivered or satisfactory. We actually had to request drink refills from a girl passing by. The manager looked just as lost walking back and forth in the same lane and up to the hostess stand....he too should have been walking to tables and asking how service was. Won't be back!

We wanted good steak with a place for a small group to visit together. We expected Black Angus to have both. Results were better than expected. No waiting - thanks to easy Open Table reservation. Good menu with good variety of selections and portions. Great daily special and desert. We ordered a variety of dishes which all arrived together. All were cooked well and served hot There was never pressure to close the bill and get out. Yet the amount of server attention was comfortable and helpful. A very nice experience for our gathering of family from many different places

This was one of the worst dining experiences that I have had in a very long time. We made a reservation online, got there, seated within a few minutes. A party of only 4, we were NEVER given water, it took 25 minutes to get our drinks (pop and lemonade). We were there 60 minutes before being served our dinner. My husband told the waiter that it was our 12 yr old sons birthday and all he did was say happy birthday, even though we could hear others being sang to within the restraunt. Our sons asked for a lemonade refill and were given a cup of lemonade and a cup of ice and had to pour them together themselves into their mug. $114.00 for 4 people, we should have had a much better experience than this.

We have been going to BA for over 40 years. But this time it was not as good and not sure we will be back. For starters, the Caesar salad was bit cold and crisp as it ususally is. I had a rib eye steak and it was tough and no flavor. This is not good for a steak house. The lobster was rubbery. We had a party of five and only got one little loaf of bread. The Au gratin potatoes were wonderful, but that was about all. Very disappointed.

We've been to the Black Angus for years. It used to be our "go-to" mid-price steakhouse. Sadly, it's gone a bit downhill. The loaf of molasses bread has shrunk to the size of a large dinner roll (to share with 3 people); soft lighting is gone. Salad now counts as one of your sides. We were seated in the SPORTS BAR (when I had asked for a booth on the reservation). Not my idea of a quiet meal to celebrate my husband's promotion with my son. They did, however, move us to a booth when one opened up. Service was "okay"--wrong bottle of wine, spilled dressing, no refill on soft drinks. Ambience just not there. Waitress seemed worn out; tired. Steaks tasted fine, but sides were small & unimpressive.

I always enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. We both tried one of the special steak offerings and neither were dissappointed with the steaks or sides. The included dessert was lacking. An ice cream sandwich - the ice cream was lacking in flavor. The service was adequate but more attention could have been given to minor things like dining utensils and sweetner for tea. On the other hand, my special requests for the wedge salad were handled as requested. Over all - a very nice experience.
