Diner Reviews
  • "We eat here often and this is the first time my drink was wrong. They were courteous and got me what I had ordered quickly. We enjoy the food and selections on the menu and the service is now much faster than it use to be. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would recommend a gluten free menu to be included in the menu. Gluten free is not a trend. One in 5 people are finding out they have a severe intolerance to gluten."

  • "About a month ago, we tried the halibut special at this restaurant. When approached by the manager, we mentioned that the fish was overcooked. So this month we tried it again, hoping that it would be better. Not so! We learned our lesson: Go to this restaurant for steak and not for fish."

  • "The hostess seated a couple with a toddler at the table across from two adults who were having a business conversation while eating their meal. The child immediately began crying. Although the parents tried valiantly to calm their child, they had to eat in a hurry and leave. The hostess should have thought not to seat the family across from two adults. Several diners commented to us as they were leaving that we had a lot of patience, as their dining experience had been difficult as well. But the server was great and the food is consistently good."

  • "I eat at this resaurant on a regular bases. I go for lunch at least once every two weeks. I am active in the community & always want to take guest there for lunch & dinner, knowing that I will always get the best quality of food & service. I had a trainee for a server on Saturday & he was properly supervised & he did a great job. I was a server in dinner houses for over twenty years so I know from where I speak on servers."

  • "Good for a chain but felt very rushed. Salad came out before appetizer was finished as was entree before salad was finished. Made dinner uncomfortable."

  • "Overall it's a must out in the Av area to make reservations. Black Angus was Packed, from our time we waited about 10 to 15 mins after our reservation timed 515pm. Beyond that it was great, our waitress was impressive totally 20 percent tip service. 10 out of 10. Food wise don't know how they did it, but within mins our appetizers at our table, the sampler plate. After that it was smooth and quick. Our food was great and severed in great time span. Love the experience would go again hands down."

  • "booths are great if you have small children or if you simply want to have a private dinner with your spouse, plus the food and drinks are great. the lighting is great for a quite dinner, I love the fact that if you want to have drinks with friend and want a fun atmosphere you have the option to go the the bar area, or if you are in the mood for a nice relaxing dinner you have the dinner section. the servers are always nice and professional."

  • "Had 6:45 Reservations Waited 10 minutes longer than Reservation Ordered Beer and an Ice tea, Beer took 25 minutes to be received Ice tea took 10 minutes we were already finished with the Appetizer and the Salads when the Beer arrived wife ordered steak well done butterflied, Received burnt hard to cut and could not chew did not complain to management because she was already full from the appetizers and salad my meal prime rib came medium well when ordered rare waitress did apologize for the delay in the beer saying they had to change to tank and were backed up at the bar this was the worst dinner I have had at this location Management apparently was not staffed correctly for Valentines Day"

  • "My wife and I went here for dinner. We had reservations so we did not have to wait too long for a table. The noise level was energetic but that is expected on a night like that. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and we all loved the dessert. Very inexpensive. I would recommend.this place to a friend."

  • "Had 2pm reservation on Sunday afternoon was not seated until 3pm they were not that busy at this time. No service person until 3:15pm to take order then took 15 min to get drinks. When food came the prime rib was over 50% fat Food was luke warm"

  • "I have been here many times and the wait for the meal was often lengthy but this was ridiculous. It was 10 minutes between the drink delivery and the order placed. It was at least 10 minutes before we were offered refills on drinks and the food was cool upon delivery. It appears that staffing is too low."

  • "We had the $39.99 meal that consisted of an appetizer to share, two entrees with two sides each and a dessert to share. Plenty of food for two! Our steaks were done to our liking. You cannot beat the value! We blew the budget with drinks, however."

  • "one of party got the wrong steak,no apology, like a so what attitude.Portions are so small. My guess is you are trying to save money. you downsized all dishes and my family have been coming to your place for over twenty years."

  • "Black Angus is a great meeting place for friends and families. The food and drinks are consistently good. I love the raspberry lemon drop martini! The restaurant is a good value for food that is plentiful and tasty. I like the layout of the restaurant, as my friends and I can meet in a more private booth in the back to chat or party and others can dine at tables if they desire. The baked potato soup is one of my favorites here."

  • "We have been eating there for some time now. The service and food are great when we go there we usually go with friends and family, so we are between 4 to 8 people. Black Angus always takes good care of us."

  • "The wait-staff was attentive, without being in your face every two minutes. The meal came at good intervals, and was very good. My wife, who is Gluten-free by necessity, was pleased how the ingredients were explained to her. Other than being a little noisy(which we expected), it was a nice evening out. I had been craving a decent Prime Rib and Lobster, and wasn't let down. Dined there before, and will dine there again."

  • "I made reservations at least two weeks in advance for Thanksgiving dinner. We arrived and still waited 30 minutes after the reservation for a table. A couple just walked in and were seated before us. The reservation process is not worth it. I don't make reservations normally, but thought for the holiday it would be better, not this time. It just made the afternoon off on a sour note. The food and table service was great, but the reservation process was bad."

  • "They handled a huge crowd very well. Hostess was polite and since we had a reservation the wait was not too long. I think that they should have created a holiday menu with a few options. We got both holiday and the food off the regular menu. The food off the regular menu was not as consistent. Appetizers were over cooked. Main course was cold. It was still good and I understand they had a large crowd and it was a holiday."

  • "The food is wonderful. The one & only time it was not so good, PR made a big effort to make us feel better. The staff are always lovely. Our server on our last visit was a joy. It is always a treat to dine at these restaurants. Really quite reasonably priced, considering the quality of the food. BA is not responsible for the rude child who climbed up & stared at us over the partition the last time we were there. His rude parents were."

  • "I was really upset with the Turkey, everything was thrown on the plate messy and we got such little portions made you wonder if they planned correctly. Next time we will choose some where else or I will cook myself. The one thing I will say my husband ordered steak, lobster and shrimp and we all wished we had his was way better even our Pumpkin Pie tasted like a cheap store bought one."

  • "Went here for a special occasion twice lately for the filet mignon and lobster tail. They have recently improved on this entree with a larger lobster tail. It is the best we have had anywhere, and we dine out a lot. The plating was not very appealing. The filet and tail was served on an oversized platter with the portions on each end and looked quite empty. But the taste made up for it and the portions were satisfying. The lighting where we went was annoying and too bright and in the eyes in all of the booths. I would definitely recommend this Angus for the good food."

  • "That's it. Just alright. We've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years, once or twice a year, and it does not get any better. Food quality and service quality deminish while prices go up. Not a criticism of this restaurant in particular; but, of almost every dining out experience I've had the past few years."

  • "During my visit my guest and I often felt abandoned by our server. Our completely finished plates remained on our table until we had to ask for them to be removed. This meant waiting to be at least acknowledged by someone. During our interaction with our server it was difficult to even achieve a half smile from her. She made us feel like we were bothering her every time we needed her assistance. We ordered two rib-eye plates which were tender and our sides nicely done. I would recommend the food for a leisure lunch date if you don't mind lowering your service standards but if balance of service and quality food is important to you then look elsewhere."

  • "I've eaten at several Black Angus restaurants in the past at different locations. This was my first dining experience at the Lancaster locale. It was also a first date. I made reservations in advance and was immediately seated when we arrived. My date was deaf so it was a pleasant surprise to find out our server knew a little ASL. The food was quick to come and cooked precisely as ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience."
