  • "When we arrived we were met by pleasant staff, seated promptly in a booth which we had requested. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was prepared just the way we asked and was delicious. Our meal included dessert but we were too stuffed to eat it so the waitress prepared it to go home. When our ice tea was getting low she brought us a new glass of tea. We appreciate getting a new glass instead of taking ours to refill and possibly mixing them up with others. Our overall visit was very good. Thank you!"

Portions were medium size, which is great as you feel good after dinner, not over-stuffed. We went online to grab a meal deal coupon, too. Service was friendly and prompt, all employees polite. Drinks were a little slow in arriving, as bar was all of a sudden busy."

Im notonly saying this as a ccustomer, but we own a restaurant also. We know what being a server is like. I have done it. The servers do need help. Overall food great.   • "Ordered a Rib eye ($28.00) steak, but was served a hunk of sirloin steak. Husband and daughter ordered same steak and were served thin little steaks that looked like they came from Denny's. When I questioned the waitress as to was this the 16oz I ordered she says your the 4th position at the table so this is yours , when I asked her again . She blurted out that she didn't take my order so she didn't know. Mean while the manager stands there and says we weigh our steaks and that my steak was thicker than my husbands. Then wanted to know if I wanted another steak cooked, no way would I want you to cook me another steak.... FYI to Black Angus rib eye is cut from a prime rib. Will NEVER give them another dime......."

  • "We arrived at the appointed time and were seated right away. Our server Heather was GREAT. Took our drink orders and when she brought them we had decided on our food. Brought the appetizers which were the flied zucchini, they arrived hot and were very good. Then our salads arrived. She had said she spaced our dinners so not to deliver them while we were still eating our salads. This happens at a lot of restaurants where you over run from one course into another. She knew how please a customer. Dinner arrived, I had the rib eye, cook correctly, wife had the strip, cooked correctly. Steaks had very good flavor, although I thought my was a little tough, but not real bad. Wife's steak was tender. Overall the dinner and night were very pleasing"

We had some special requests and he seemed almost impatient to get to the next guest. Also, I was drinking water, and at one time, I took my son's glass because he wasn't drinking it and no one seemed to be coming around asking if I needed a refill. I wouldn't say the service was terrible. I just think it could have been better."

Only downside about this visit was that my drink was empty for about 10 minutes at one point, waitress noticed eventually but would like it if service checked in more frequently (walked by several times but didn't really check in to see if all was ok until after all good was out). I would still return however."

  • "This was the second time I had been to the restaurant in one month. We dined with another couple. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. The server (1004 David R) was a refreshing young man, quite witty, kept us in drinks, knew how to make you feel welcome! The food was outstanding, At our table we had Chicken, Prime Rib, Steak Filet ~ Chicken & Steak were delicious, the Prime Rib not satisfied (guest said kind of bland). Vegetables were hot when served, that’s a big plus! Proportions received were great. OMG! Dessert to die for!!! The reason we attended The Black Angus a second time is because of the service we received at Tahoe Joe’s and will never go back. Looking forward to a third trip to The Black Angus. (soon)"

  • "I am not writing this review on the normal menu.The dinner was a baked sweet potato with sweet butter, broccoli with shaved Parmesan, mashed potatoes with gravy, and turkey over the stuffing. The best thing on the plate was the sweet potato.. Turkey tasted processed, stuffing was eh.. They used their croutons and the rest was generic.. The mashed potatoes were grainy and the WORST was the broccoli!! It was sour and bitter from the cheap Parmesan.. It was inedible!! Overall I felt like I went to Denny's instead of Black Angus.. I will try their regular menu.. But not Thanksgiving ever again!"

Was pleasantly surprised with the Thanksgiving plate, very moist turkey and sides. Wish the pumpkin pie could have been swapped for something else, but that was the extent of the disappointment.   • "My order was the shrimp, lobster and steak special. The steak was ordered to be medium rare but was definitely not showing any pink when it arrived. Our server, Alex R., promptly removed my plate and the manager, Dan, returned later with a perfectly cooked steak and additional broccoli; both were excellent. Both men were very polite and neither made me feel as though I was making an unusual request, despite the very business of the restaurant on a Friday night. Service was at all times prompt and poite."
