  • "Wow, I have been a fan of Black Angus restaurant for many years. This location was disappointing. Restaurant seemed dirty & dusty. Manager was alright though, he took care of our problems which were: Dirty glasses, mushy lobster (twice) like it had been previously frozen-gross. My steak was very rare, I asked for medium. It was really gross because it was so rare when I cut into it-B L O O D--->which grosses me out. So, I ate my potato while my steak was refired. It came back cooked to my liking. What was really disappointing is their plating effort, which is none by the way. Just a steak and a potato on a white plate. Effortless but boring."

I guess reservations aren't taken seriously. Other than that, we had great service at our table. We take guests there because due to the tall booths and sound-deadening decorating, it's always quiet and we can hear each other, even when it's crowded."

  • "We ordered items that need to be timed appropriately for service to the table and we found that two items must have been prepared at the same time as the one that needed a bit longer to prepare. It seemed that two of the orders must have sat under heat lamps and continued cooking while awaiting the last item to cook. What resulted was greasy, soggy fish and chips and a well done steak that was meant to be rare. They redid the steak, but we did not have the leasure time to correct all wrongs. I will not be going back there at lunch time when they should be aware that a person's time is limited."

  • "We've been going to this Black Angus for a long time now. I honestly don't know how many years, but one thing is for certain...they have been consistent. Have they been perfect, no, but then again who is. We can always rely on good to great food (depends on the kitchen) but have always had excellent service. Sure there were some issues in the past but with the changes over the last couple of years corporate has been weeding out the bad eggs. If you're looking to dine here for dinner, I'd recommend making a reservation. They have been getting consistently busy with plenty of folks waiting for tables. Lunch on the other hand isn't as crowded but the food is still fantastic."

There are plenty of TVs to keep you up-to-date with the latest sporting events. We'll probably have dinner in the lounge from now on and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. "

  • "It was unfortunate that the food was not up to the expectation that is use to be, and the service seem to lack promptness. Although a special night ended up with food that was not tasty to the palate and a bill that was well into the $200 range. It is unfortunate that Black Angus has taken the road to the less desirable. Black Angus should stop worrying about changing up their menu and focus on the chefs a little more. With Reservations that were made at 5:45 we arrived five minutes before our time we still ended up waiting 15 minutes to be seated. This was a nearly an empty restaurant. When I made the reservation I stated that we had four children on of which was autistic. I asked for promptness and received the opposite."

  • "I have lived in Huntington Beach for years and had never been to Black Angus. Then I received a coupon and decided to try it. We love it. We enjoy a booth in the bar where you can watch all of the major sporting events simultaneously. It's also not a real noisy bar that makes you want to run from the building. Some times the service can be a little slow or not the best, but we had a great server this time. The food is typically good - sometimes better than others. Everything was excellent on Mother's Day. We love Black Angus."

  • "If you want prime rib or a roasted sirloin french dip sandwich, you will never find anything better than here. Not to mention, if you go for lunch, sit with Sam--she is one of the best servers my son and I have ever had. We're regulars, but she had us memorized even before we were. However, my son always gets the steakhouse bacon cheeseburger, which is on occasion his favorite burger. But more often than not, even if he orders it medium, it comes out, in his own words, like "delicious shoe leather". It's never stopped us from coming back and never will, but hopefully they can get the burger properly cooked more often! As for desserts, the chocolate torte is to die for--I'm so happy it's not seasonal anymore!"

The prime rib and the salmon are always amazing, and the waitress impressed with a customized anniversary slice of mud pie. The time for the food to arrive may have been on the slower side, but possibly because the waitress kept apologizing for the delay. It was all good when the delicious meals arrived."

  • "Had not been to the Black Angus for years as it is always so crowded and noisy with screaming kids and the quality of the meat was mediocre at best.. Decided to return as we had coupons. They were kind enough to seat us in the very back according to our Open Table request so we were away from much of the noise. Service was a bit slow . I thought they were understaffed but there were several wait staff at the front just standing there. Maybe our waitress just had too many tables to cover adequately. The food is definitely better and with the coupon (2 dinners for $49 including appetizer and dessert) it ws a great deal. You can have a full meal without breaking the bank and have lots of leftovers to take home."

  • "The food was 'OK' at this Black Angus. The bread is delicious and the salads/cole slaw fresh and crisp. I was disappointed though, with the meats. My friends had the Filet Mignon and the top Sirloin. I had the Prime Rib. All 3 were on the tough and dry side. Medium Well should have a smidge of pink in them, but all 3 were fully cooked. We did not have the time available to wait for them to be sent back and new meat, cooked properly, brought out. We did have a pleasant server. It was a little noisy as we did not get one of the 'high backed' booths and, had a large and noisy group at an adjoining table. So, yes, I would go back but next time, order the meat as medium to hopefully get it cooked the way we like it."
