  • "Black Angus celebrated its 50th anniversary this year! And the food is just as tasty as ever. Warm molasses bread, steaks cooked just right, and Moscow Mules in commemorative glasses were the highlights. We appreciated the color crayons and high chair for our toddler and it was easy to reserve a table for 9. Two things could have been better though: the corner booth and disorganized servers. It was impossible for the servers to reach down to the end of the table because it was enclosed on 3 sides. We had 3 servers for some reason, and the main one apologized a lot, and seemed tired. But, the food came out quick and hot, so we had a great time!"

  • "For dinner had the 8 oz prime rib special (served all day every Wednesday for $17.99) and included a choice of 2 sides and a slice of mud pie for dessert. The prime rib and the sides (chosen from 16) were very good. The mud pie was good-sized and refreshing. Warm sweet molasses dark bread with soft butter preceded the meal. Excellent service with a smile was provided by Pinky."

  • "My friends and I love to do their lunch right when they first open up on Saturdays and the food and service are always great. The witstaff is friendly and very helpful and 2 different managers came around a couple of times to ask how we were doing and if everything was ok. I've gone to happy hour, too and it's a whole different place with great drinks and Bulls Eye Bar appetizers."

The server at our table had a very outgoing personality that our group enjoyed. The food was excellent! Looking forward to going back for another dinner."

  • "It started out pleasant until being contacted by two wait staff fighting over who is serving us. The wait person was short and not informative the appetizer had a large beetle cooked into. The steaks had no flavor filet mignon and prime rib. Attempting to find waiter for bread and drink refill was a task. When told about beetle waiter said "oh I have only seen that once before and I have been here a year" the dessert cake was hard and the fudge burnt. Not a memorable anniversary."

  • "made reservation for 6-15th, on 6- 5th, for 7pm & calld 2 days ltr to add 2 ppl, when arrived we had to wait 20 min.,due to it being a very busy day we did not mind. We were called & hostess stated for 6 ppl, I told her no it was changed to 8 ppl, so we had to wait again. Our table was still not ready,when we were seated,+ they had to find 2 chairs. We ordered 3 campfire feast & 1 cobb salad. All appetizer's came at a different times,1 was given to another table first. After 1 1/2 hours of waiting, we slowly getting our main course, still waited for 3 side orders +Cobb salad was 10 min after we all got our food. On top of it we had a birthday and we mentioned it many times, by the time we got that, the kitchen was closed. Bread plates dirty"

  • "We ordered the salmon, the chicken and two rib eye's. The salmon was done to perfection but the chicken was so overcooked it was like shoe leather and not edible. The steaks were awful, overdone on one end and cold rare on the other. Half the steaks were left also as inedible. Granted it was a busy night but to run out of coffee cups was inexcusable. We left a tip for the waiter because she was very apologetic and I believe doing her best but we really didn't want to pay for our meals. The steak soup was very good though but not enough to get us to go back."

  • "We had dinner at Black Angus on Father's Day. It was a busy night. It took over 30 minutes for a child's order of Mac n' cheese. At least the manager comped it for us. It was like pulling teeth getting our drinks refilled. I felt like we hardly saw our server. She brought out 3 of our salads and it took about 15 minutes for the rest of us to get ours. And only when we mentioned it to her. Also plates from appetizers and salads weren't cleared for a while."

  • "Well this was my first visit to the restaurant. The food was very good. Good size portions, nice and filling. I think the restaurant needs to be more prepared for special days like Mothers Day or Fathers Day, in this case Fathers Day....The complimentary bread took a while to get out. There was no baked potatoes after 630 and still had a few hours to go.....the staff were good but you could tell there was high stress going on....Just seemed unprepared overall for the day. The food is very good and I would go again."

  • "My husband's Navy friend from 30 years back came to Washington with his wife. They were staying in Belfair. Our friends from Snohomish and my husband and I live in Everett. We needed to find a place in the middle to meet; Black Angus was it. I was very disappointed in being crammed into a booth. I should have asked if there was a table for the six of us. I don't know if the bartender was new, but acted like it. She did not seem to know the well drinks or the difference between a blend and a bourbon. Maybe she just had an off night. We had a good time visiting. Our waitress was good. The only drawback was being crowded into a booth. I think next time we might pick the Outback."

  • "Food was good, however my steak was burnt, my wife's steak was lining eating card board and the food was slow getting to the table after ordering, not the fault of waitress she was excellent manager was very accommodating and made things right. Strongly recommend that cooks be trained in how to cook a steak well done without burning the meat, or turning a well done steak into card board. even when grilled, fried or broil. All customers do not intend to make food an issue, but on this occasion it was justified,"

  • "Booked reservation 4 days in advance of Mothers Day and was delighted that I was able to get seating on fairly short notice. Appreciate being able to book online and was able to see other time slots available around our first choice with out having to do a lot of searching. We were seated immediately after our reservation time but we waited a long time for our food to arrive. Good waitress. Only negatives, we were seated in the bar without being asked first if we wanted to be in the bar...this area has several TV's and much noisier then the main dinning room. We did not say about the seating area, but will next time. For a Mothers Day crowd, the TV's should have been turned off. Parking can be challenging, I had to circle around. "

  • "My husband took me there for mothers day dinner. Surprisingly the wait was not long at all. We had a very nice waitress I wish I knew her name but cant remember it. The meal was the best meal I remember having in years. We ordered the $39.00 special Prime rib was cooked perfect and the appetizers were delicious. I have to say That Black Angus has been around for years . we just moved back from Utah after 17 years. decided to go back to black Angus and it was even better than we remembered. However, it was ready on time and we were able to order drinks and receive them in short order as we checked out the menu. Food was excellent. Four of us chose the Campfire menu for 2 and 2 chose Beef burgers. Those who chose the burgers had to wait while others had salads but we did share the appetizers with them as well as the desserts. All in all it was a great meal and good fellowship around the table. Service was very good."

  • "We visit this location about once every couple months and usually use the Campfire for two coupon. Only once have we used the coupon and had outstanding service...it was a middle aged man with every trait you'd ask for in a server and it was September 8, 2013 (I remember because it was my birthday.) All the other times the waitstaff who has been assigned to us are awful! Snotty. In a hurry. Not eager to answer questions or wait while you take an extra couple seconds to make a decision. I've worked in the service industry and tip according to the regular price of our meals (not the discounted price) AND according to the service...usually I way over tip. But I lately I spend my dining experience laughing at myself for continuing to come back."

  • "I think it's fair to say you should not expect much from a chain restaurant. That being said, it was a good experience, not a great one. Our server seemed out of it, perhaps she had a long day or weekend but she seemed to take a while with things like bringing us our drinks or boxes for our food. When we asked her to take a picture, she was happy to oblige, but because of where they sat us, she had to take it blind and none of the photos turned out. She was gone before I got a chance to look at them and didn't see her after that. The food was delicious when we got it. I'm in love with their sweet molassas bread and my fillet mignon was perfectly cooked. It didn't even need steak sauce! I also recommend the frozen daqueri."
