  • "We enjoyed going to Black Angus years ago when it was located in Roseville. We were disappointed when it closed down. We recently discovered that it was in Citrus Heights, and although it is a 25 minutes drive, we enjoy going. Each time we really enjoy the food, service & ambiance. Since it is a very busy restaurant, and waiting without reservations could take awhile, we love making reservations through Open Table. We are Premiere members with Black Angus and get discount coupons which makes it even more worthwhile. The food is always good. Our favorites are: roasted artichoke, onion strings, filet mignon & flourless chocolate torte. The Filet is always cooked to perfection. And, my gluten free daughter can always find things to eat."

Ask why not the dinning room and was told it was a 45 minute wait? Wait with a reservation? We could have walked in and went to the bar, not happy. Otherwise, food was good and good send-off for granddaughter leaving for college in S. CA."

  • "I took my husband out for a birthday dinner. My father in law and mother in law was here from out of town and decided to stay and go out to dinner with us. Black Angus did not disappoint. It was a nice quiet atmosphere, we had a small problem getting a waitress to our table to take our drink order, but I found a manager and he defiantly made up for that small mistake. The staff ended up being very attentive. The food was even better than I expected. We had a coupon for our dinner that was an amazing deal, but even if you don't have the coupon it's worth the full price. Appetizers, entrees, and desert was awesome! !! Way to go Black Angus. We will be back soon!!!"

  • "We sat in the bar and it was not terribly crowded but our waitress was very slow. It took forever to get our drinks as the bartender was waiting his own tables and preference given to his tables and waited for 15 minutes for our drinks to be delivered after the order was placed. We had to ask for bread. Upon delivery of an order that had fries we had to ask for ketchup, which took another 10 minutes while our food got cold. There is no organization to this restaurant and management is clearly busy doing something other than watching this restaurant and it's poor customer service."

  • "I had lunch with my son at Black Angus on Thursday, July. 24, 2014. We had a wonderful time. The food was really good, we could hear each other talking, as the music was at a low level. However, I ordered two orders of the sliced sesame teriyaki steak to take home for my husband and daughter, because I had enjoyed the meal so much myself, and thought they would too. When I got home with the meals, the sauce was missing in both containers. The sauce was the reason I ordered the meals in the first place! This was poor service and I will not eat there again. My son feels the same way."

The service was good, the food delicious and the staff was even kind enough to take a couple pictures for us. It was a lovely evening, and we were not pressured to leave. We were there 3 hours and had a grand time, good drinks, and nice food."

My husband had the filet mignon which he raved so much about, very tender and delicious. The artichoke appetizer is a favorite of ours as are the stuffed mushrooms. Service was also friendly and attentive. If only there was one closer to our home in Elk Grove we would come there weekly!"

  • "We went to Black Angus for our Anniversary dinner because it was the 4th of July and our favorite restaurant is closed on holidays. I wanted steak and Black Angus does have a descent steak. I was so disappointed. I guess because it was a holiday the #1 staff was given the day off. The receptionist was very friendly and the server was too. She served us drink and took our order without much time passing. We waited for our appetizer and waited. We finally got the warm appetizer after 30min. Then approx. 7 min later we received our Luke warm dinner. By the time I had eaten 3/4 my steak it was cold which made it distasteful. We had to ask for refills on drink. We had to ask for our dessert to be boxed so we could take it home. Need I say more."
