  • "You can always count on consistently great food cooked to perfection! I had the grilled salmon. It was juicy, tasty with no fishy smells, very fresh. My husband had the filet mignon which he raved so much about, very tender and delicious. The artichoke appetizer is a favorite of ours as are the stuffed mushrooms. Service was also friendly and attentive. If only there was one closer to our home in Elk Grove we would come there weekly!"

  • "We went to Black Angus for our Anniversary dinner because it was the 4th of July and our favorite restaurant is closed on holidays. I wanted steak and Black Angus does have a descent steak. I was so disappointed. I guess because it was a holiday the #1 staff was given the day off. The receptionist was very friendly and the server was too. She served us drink and took our order without much time passing. We waited for our appetizer and waited. We finally got the warm appetizer after 30min. Then approx. 7 min later we received our Luke warm dinner. By the time I had eaten 3/4 my steak it was cold which made it distasteful. We had to ask for refills on drink. We had to ask for our dessert to be boxed so we could take it home. Need I say more."

Our server Charles was 5 star, very attentive but not overly attentive. Charles was very friendly and helpful, made us feel appreciated and important as customers.   • "Everything was very nice....the only thing that we had asked for was a booth so we could put the baby seat on part of the seat of the booth...we have done this before in different places and the baby is almost eye level with us.......my daughter-in-law didn't want to put her down on the floor, so she ended up holding the baby and trying to eat at the same time....so it was a bit disappointing, but we still enjoyed our food."

For those of you that don't normally frequent Black Angus, this one is noticeably quieter than most of the other steak houses in the area (Outback, Logan's, etc.). They seemed to focus on an older clientele, with large portions and a descent menu. This was not our first time at this Black Angus, and it won't be our last. The food is tasty, and it is a good place to go when you don't want the hustle and bustle of the other steak houses."

My daughters and I love the deep fried zucchini with cucumber dip, but the last two times we have come either the seating was unsatisfactory or the temp was way too cold. Service and food are great, but if you are uncomfortable through the whole encounter, it leaves a bad memory..."

THERE WERE OTHERS AROUND US, BUT WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY WERE THERE. HAD TO SEND MY OVERCOOKED LOBSTER BACK, BUT MY NEW ONE WAS GOOD. THE SAMPLER PLATTER WAS DELICIOUS, BUT PORTION SIZE DEFINITELY DECREASED. SMALLER PORTION GRILLED ASPARAGUS CONSISTED OF 5 THIN, OVER-GRILLED SPEARS. FORTUNATELY MY DAUGHTER GAVE ME HER BACON GREEN BEANS. MUD PIE WAS EXTREMELY SMALL AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ENOUGH FOR TWO! OVERALL $137 FOR DINNER FOR A FAMILY OF 4 WAS VERY OVER-PRICED WITH RATHER SMALL PORTION SIZES. NOT LIKE TEXAS ROADHOUSE, WHICH WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN OVER $100.WONT RETURN"

  • "My boyfriend took me out for Mother's Day brunch, I did book ahead of time by reserving a table online. I looked at the menu online ahead of time to see what we would like to have. When we got there menu changed, our server was inexperienced, messed up order 3x. By the time we ate my steak was cold, also not cooked to my original request of medium well.. Please train your staff appropriately, or shadow then til they are good on their own to avoid mishaps like my visit."
