  • "The hostes said there would be a 15 minute wait even though we had a reservation. Service was very poor. Food was just ok. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado. The portion of fries that it came with consisted of 12 fries. The bread that was to come out before food took a very long time. They did not honor my free desert coupon which had a bar code and was on my phone. I was told it needed to be printed out for them to honor it. Not much advantage to being a "Prime club" member. The cost was expensive and will not come back."

  • "The food was very good, we had a nice private area for our family... unfortunately the waitress seemed to be somewhere else, we had to ask for everything twice, it was a party of 7 and she took everyone's drink order and forgot to bring one. Later she brought out the salads for half a table until we reminded her about the rest. To bad that one not happy person at her job, ruins the experience for others."

  • "I made reservations in advance. It was not extremely busy for a Weekday. I was seated at 9pm with my party and handed menus. The server came to us 15 min later. We got to order and then waited another 15 minutes for drinks. I ordered campfire feast. I was supposed to get appetizer first for table. Instead I got the bread and appetizer delivered with the meals.The loaded potatoes were still hard. My steak however was cooked to perfection but the green beans were so salty I kept needing a drink that I never got refilled. People checked on us including the manager but only after we got our food. Which lead to the question who is our server??? It took an hour and 20 to get through a meal that took usually 35 minutes. "

  • "I made resevations for A party of four for 11AM. We were seated approximately 10 minutes after checking and we were 3rd group seated. Our sever's name was Carolina. I had The Steakhouse Bacon Cheese Burger-full filling. My wife ordered Chalk Board Special Grilled Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. Fire Grilled Chicken was enjoyed by my Father in-law.My daughter ordered BBQ Baby Back Ribs but a few minutes later after all orders were taken Carolina came back and told us there were no more ribs. My daughter settled for well done Top Sirloin which was not tender as she liked-her braces were probably the reason why. We all shared Big Mountain Chocalate Fudge Cake. "

We had a party of 9 and was put in a booth that was tight squeezed. The waiter couldn't move around to serve us, we had to pass plates around and our wine glasses. So, maybe next time, a bigger area would be better served."

  • "Last Sunday my daughter treated me for early dinner at the Black Angus Steakhouse in Chula Vista, California. It was my 72nd birthday and I felt specially grouchy but they made me quite comfortable as the greeter showed us to our table and then the waitress was the best ever. We had a great selection of steaks and other entrees plus salads and deserts including the starter platter. Then to top it off a couple the employees brought us my Black Angus birthday gift and that was delicious ice cream on top of a special cookie that was baked in a pan about ten inches across. We shared it as the employees sang happy birthday for what seems the 72nd time in my life, I did not mind and was quite content. Thank you Black Angus Steakhouse."

  • "It has been several years since my family and I had the opportunity to dine at Black Angus. What happened to the portion sizes and attractive eye appeal for just about everything? The steaks were way too small and to add insult to injury, the vegetables were not sauteed, they were very much overcooked. We just seem to have received a double whammy from the Black Angus, Small Portions and Improperly Cooked Food. But what the Black Angus received from us was an Over-Payment for the experience. The server did a good job, but was quickly overwhelmed by the large amount of guests. I made sure that the Tip on the check was adequate. I did not feel that it was the servers fault. Just be prepared to pay more for less. We are Not going back."

  • "2 members of our party ordered top sirloin steak with prawns. Although the prawns were very good, both of our steaks were very tough and grissely. We couldn't eat them. We did mention it to our waitress. Also a girl that was helping our waitress was very rude. My au gratin potatoes were not completely cooked and hard in the middle. We have dined here many times and not had these issues before, but may be hesitant to return."

When our food finally came, at this point its almost 9:00 pm , it wasnt the way we ordered it. I get that on a holiday delays probably are going to happen but this was just rediculous. We will never go back ."

Not impressed with this restaurant's punctuality, but our server, Bryan, was outstanding and even though he didn't want to be there, he made our visit extremely enjoyable and went above and beyond to make up for the host's abruptness."

It was valentines so the crowd is expected but we had reservations for 8:30 and were waiting till 9:20 so that was a bit disappointing and by the time we ordered there was no prime rib and was not informed at check in. Our food was delish and our young waitress was awesome, poor thing you could tell she was very tired but she kept a smile on her face."

  • "Setup a reservation on the web. When we arrived the lobby was full; standing room only and about 20 people waiting outside. We didnt even wait 2 minutes when they called my name after I checked in. It felt great skipping all those people. The food and service were great as usual."
