  • "I am a big fan of steaks, ribs and meat overall. Thinking the Filet mignonette is thee ultimate meat ,I was sincerely maybe expecting to much or maybe Filet Mignonette isn't the correct meat for me. Due to the fact that if it wasn't for the A1 sauce the filet would of tasted just like a peace of meat cut and cooked. However thee west rice and French fries were cooked and made with so much flavor and in fact maybe to perfection. A special thanks to each employee who said hello welcome and goodbye as we came in and left the building it in fact makes a difference each time. Sincerely your customer Eddie"

  • "If you are not in a hurry and have 2+ hours available to sit and be ignored, then this is the place for you. No one knew our table was in their serve area; no one seemed to notice or care that we were sitting at a table with no water or bread. We finally went back to the front hostess to inquire about a possible server. A waitress finally appeared. Other people brought us our appetizer, and it was not as we ordered, but we were afraid to send it back. It took yet another 20+ minutes to get salads, and dinner was another 20+ minute wait. Again, during all of this time, no one noticed or cared that our water glasses were sitting empty. Even though the food was good, the service was so horrible we will never return to the Buena Park location."

  • "We dined here recently. We were looking forward to the steak dinner, but were disappointed at the end of the meal. The service was slow and the meat wasn't cooked to what we requested. My husband ordered a rare New York strip and according to him it was served medium rare. I had ordered a medium rare filet mignon center cut (6 oz.) and found it to be medium well to almost well done. The food had taken so long up to that point to come out, we didn't have the inclination to let our server know since we were starved. The server was nice and accommodating, but everything was just slow coming to our table. I don't think we were the only ones either, because a table just behind us had problems with their order too."

  • "The food was amazing and we were seated quickly (had reservations) but the waitress was rude, very short, and got our drinks wrong and then blamed it on the bar. (Im sorry but you should have made sure they were right before bringing it to us)We ordered a new castle beer in the bottle and she brought us a flat tire in a bottle. So its not like it was a mixed drink. All she had to do is read the label."

  • "We made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner knowing it would be very busy that night. It was extremely busy and noisy; however, that didn't change the tasty food or great service. Our server was a jewel! We felt we were part of her family; so attentive and helpful. We both had prime rib that was prepared perfectly, and so delicious! Actually, everything was excellent. It was a lovely evening, and we hope to return very soon."

  • "Well, thank goodness we had reservations. They were only 15 mins behind when we got there. I thought it would be more. You never know how long it takes for others to eat. The onion ring strings were way to greasy. The rib eye was not good at all. My boyfriend said the mashed potatoes he had tasted like they were out of a box. Sad to say, that we have eaten here many times and thought today would be no different. It wasn't good at all. The waitress was though. If you are going to serve for this day especially, you should make sure your food holds up."

  • "I scheduled a pre concert dinner at the Black Angus in Buena Park. They were terribly busy, and even with a reservation, I feared we might be late to the concert. Unfortunately, I do not have the young lady's name who was our server, as my brother paid the bill, but she was fantastic. She took our orders, cleared the plates and everything was perfectly done! I did not even tell her we were going to a concert. We had a 5:30 PM reservation and were ready to leave for the concert by 7PM! Thanks Black Angus!"

  • "I was slightly surprised that there was no special menu for Valentine's Day. Not that I was counting on one, so I wouldn't say I was disappointed. Just a bit surprised. Reservation was for 6:30, but didn't get seated until after 7. Food took a long time to come out as well. I'll chalk these up to it being CRAZY that night! So the good things... the server was friendly and the food was AMAZING! Their booking process needs work, but it was still a good experience."

I overheard her taking a guest complaint behind me and she handled it with ease and tact. Being rushed with orders she took the time to be concerned and helpful. We felt bad for the long line of people waiting to be seated. This was our second visit within a month and the service was outstanding as well as as the food and cocktails. My steak was over cooked, I don't send food back not sure what happens in the kitchen, the Bud Light was flat so my husband could not enjoy a beer with dinner, we were sat at a table in the corner for 5 adults and 1 child this table was set for 8, asked for a booth and was told no the table was for us, believe me there were plenty of empty booths the resturant was not busy at all. I made reservations online 2 weeks in advance and still get corner table. Told waitress at beginning of dinner it was my birthday and no birthday dessert arrived. Service was friendly and I hope my next at this resturant will be better experience, I really enjoy going there."

  • "Unfortunately, our Thanksgiving meal at Black Angus Buena Park was horrible. We had gone the previous year and is was great. In not sure what has changed, but this year it was horrible. The food was cold, they could not accomodate the request for white meat only (which they did the previous year), the pie was still a bit frozen and tasted like a market bought pie. The only thing that I could rate favorable was our server, she was delightful and very apologitic for all the cold food and inability to meet our requests. We're folks that are quite patient, nice and understanding when it comes to food and service especially around the holidays, but the food served at this restaurant on this Thanksgiving Day was horrible."

  • "We ate at Black Angus for Thanksgiving along with our preschooler and baby. The server was upbeat and impressively prompt even though the restaurant was packed. The kids meal was half the price of the adult meal but was otherwise identical in size and content. The included steak vegetable soup was too peppery for our preschooler's liking but she and we devoured the rest of the meal, which was hot and delicious. We may need to make this place our new annual tradition."

  • "Food is just whatever, nothing special. My shrimp cocktail just had a few shrimp on it,usually the glass would at least look full. Hospitality was very good, food order was incorrect, guy taking away plates might need a class on how to do it with making you lean all the way back while he puts them in your face and rubs the top of your straw with his arm in the process. I honestly do not feel like I got what I paid for ."

  • "We went here only because we had a coupon and it was close to an area we had to visit. To our surprise the food flavor was excellent. My wife had filet, which could stand against the best restaurants in town and I had a fantastic large piece of Salmon. Along with the entree items, the sides were equally as fantastic. I just never would of thought a Blank Angus would have food as good as the $120 dinners we get at upscale 5 Star reputation restaurants. And we left for 1/2 that price!"
