  • "Made reservation online - so easy. Server was wonderful. There for a group of 8, wanted table in back so we could visit. Got all I ask for, food was good, half of our food was a little late in coming, but we didn't mind too much as we were visiting. I did think they would sing happy birthday to five in the group since I put it in the reservation, but they didn't. Enjoyable lunch, will do it again. Several commented on the French Dip, Chicken salad was also good. Ask server to take picture of our group for us, she was delighted to, even though she was busy."

  • "We arrived with an online reservation and only had to wait 5 minutes or so to get a booth ready. Our server when sat down seemed to be having an off night we hope. She wasn't overly helpful, friendly, or prompt and attentive. She did her job well enough, but the food service and flavors were excellent. I'm not a fan of fried foods normally, but the Fried Zucchini was amazing. All our steaks were cooked properly and seasoned well. One of the sides I asked for never arrived, there may have been a substitution in the kitchen that I was never told about, I never bothered to push it. Our meals were priced fairly if only just. Our small party of 4 had no issue conversing and I would suggest this place for dinner anytime."

  • "We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary last night at Bakersfield's Stuart Andersons Black Angus. We had so many Restaurant choices to pick from to eat at but after talking about it we realized that SA's has always been our go to Restaurant. The service is always impeccable and the steak is so CONSISTENTLY good. The New York steak was like butter! I wish I could remember our servers name so I could give her the praise she deserves but she never had us wanting for anything...she was perfect."

They seated me in the next available booth,but were not that sorry as the hostess removed two place settings I reminded her the resv was for four please bring back 2 settings. When we got there, we were told that there were no booths allowed so we were placed in the middle of an intersection where servers were constantly moving around. I was told "excuse me" at least 30 times during the time I was there so that the servers could move about. The food was alright. I remember a time when Black Angus used to serve generous portions but the food we received this time was considerably microscopic. My rib-eye looked like it was from a calf rather than a fully grown cow. After all this, the server forgot to deduct a coupon we had and ended up also forgetting to pack our ice creams with our "to go" desserts. So, overall, a lack luster experience. Score: 2.5/5"

  • "The only good thing about our dinner was booking online, so we didn't have to wait for a table. The people next to us were so loud my 5 year old asked me why they were so rude. The staff watched them and shook there head and did nothing. To top it off my $30.99 lobster tail was hard as a rock and the only flavor it had was from the drawn butter I dipped it in. I can't remember the last time I had to cut my lobster with an 6 inch steak knife. So after a $128.00 bill-for-3 and "poor" everything we won't be back."

  • "My party of 4 enjoyed our lunch once it finally arrived. The food was good but the service was slow and it didn't seem to be too busy in the dining room. We spent about an 1 hour and 45 mins total there and half of it was waiting time between waiting for the waitress and waiting for our meal. The restaurant has a nice ambiance but the kitchen needs to pick up the pace. I wouldn't recommend going there for lunch unless you're not worried about what time you get back to the office."

Not to mention they placed the table within 24" of another group table of 8 people. So all night long I was the one closest to the big group, and kept getting bumped around by the waiters and waitresses because they were to lazy to walk around. The food was mediocre and we had an a/c vent blowing down on us the whole time. I am very unhappy about this particular visit. I have usually had good food at Black Angus and a booth. This time we got neither. "

We had a reservation for 5:45 on valentines day we arrived at 5:30 to check in and it took the hostess about 3 minutes to recognize that we were standing and waiting if we have been helped so I politely walked up to her to let her know we were here to check in for our 5:45 reservation and she informs ok will call you back in about 30-45 min so I asked why so long if we had made a reservation then she replies she doesn't know thats how long all waits are including reservation times so we walked out after 15min of waiting . Just overall there was no good service."
