Food is excellent..Service we felt was a newbee but A for effort. Gotta Love this place it is just special all around. Our favorite spot is booth in bar so you can watch the oysters being prepared and the activity, Upstairs no our favorite location at all. Steps are steep and after 3 of those delicious whiskey sours makes it tough . A plus BJ's we love you

My wife and I decided to try something a little different for our anniversary. Since we had been at BJ's in Selingsgrove a few years back and did not really like the food we figured we would give the Danville BJ's a try (50 minute drive). Our table was ready when we arrived as expected. The waiter was not the most upbeat person we would like to see, he forgot to enter our appetizer, he never came back to offer another drink, never came back to offer more bread, the chicken, shrimp and rib sampler was not even average at best and there was a clear difference in portions even though my wife and I ordered the same thing. The shrimp were actually still in the shell which surprised me. I believe this is the last time I will go to any BJ's.

We like the oysters. We got oysters Rockefeller and Thai mussels which was sumptuous, delicious, best thing I had. For entrées, scallops - good but not exceptional. entree did not include a baked potato only one vegetable be broccoli and too much of it. I was happy to have had the Thai mussels because it came with toast points. I hate the toast along with my scallops since there were four pieces and my friend didn't want any. She got the ribs which were good but not exceptional that I could tell. Service was slow on a Friday night which will was pretty busy across the entire restaurant. All in all it was a good experience but not exceptional.

Friendly attentive service. Good tomato mozzarella salad, very good steak and steamed broccoli, good creme brulee. First two entree choices were sold out, third turned out to be having a special with a glass of domestic beer included. After I asked if a glass of wine could be substituted, server got manager to comp the wine.

My fiancé and I were just at BJs. Usually when we go out to eat for some reason she always gets the so so meal or bad meal but this time it was me. I paid twice the money for a aged rib eye steak when her Chicago steam with a pint of beer for half the price was twice as good as mine. I would dine again but save your money and order a house steak.

Have eaten here the past 3 years when attending an annual business meeting. Have always eaten upstairs. Yes when full it can get a bit loud but not unbearable. While the price is not cheap it is not out of the world either. You will get good food, a good helping at a fair price. A bonus has been that since we were staying at a local hotel, if we showed the hotel key we got a free desert. The Peanut Butter Frosting Chocolate cake is great!

We came in to celebrate a birthday and we had a wonderful time. My partner and I shared oysters (delicious and fresh) and then she had a steak and scallop combination, and I had the tuna. My only complaint is that my Tuna (which on the menu was described as served rare), was actually served pretty medium. The steak was fabulous and the scallops delicious. We also had the tomato mozzarella (caprese) salad, which was so fresh and tangy. Really a highlight. The wine selection is decent, the restaurant is really nice. They have gluten free options and even gave us a birthday sunday on the house. It was really a delightful evening. Cannot wait to return.

A Monday evening spent amongst liquor, meat, and nice people. My drink, Tom Colins: Reasonably priced and lemony. Mixed well and strong. Appetizer= Oysters! : This place has an oyster bar! This was the first time I had raw oysters and they tasted great! :) They also have a selection of broiled or baked oysters if raw ones make you squirm.Steak for entrée: An aged steak, cooked medium rare, baked potato, and a salad. I ate every scrap. Steak was cooked perfectly, the seasoning was peppery and complemented the beef. The potato, good, and every thing was hot except for the salad which was covered with sinful amount of bacon. Wait staff : These ladies and gents were prompt, pleasant, knowledgeable and just wanted you to have a great visit.

The reason we came back to this area. We found a table in a quiet corner with a large Aquarium filled with fish. It is soothing and very quiet there. The food is fantastic and the service excellent, no matter who is serving you. We do travel 1 hour to get here and it is worth it. My husband and I found the name as we leaving the hospital. So I looked up the website, and the info is all there. Made a reservation the last time because it was our 19th anniversary. Thanks Guys and Gals

We have been coming here for almost 20 years, and I can say each time I come the prices get much higher and the food less. It might have to be our last time. Very disappointed that prices were increased over $5 each just for father's day dining, and now you only get one side with your meal and no salad. Definitely not a place for the average household esp ones with children and a budget.

Enjoyed our celebration of Father's Day. Only complaint is that their great baked potatoes weren't available until after 4:00 pm. Doesn't help our meal at 2:00 pm and we were looking forward to having them. One might think that an exception would be made for a holiday that is not a typical Restruant day and plan ahead for the earlier reservations so that every diners expectations could be fulfilled.

We were treated very rudely by the hostesses. They treated us like we were lying when we said we had reservation. They said they didn't get them and then they found them and never apologized. They didn't offer us any thing extra. Refused to seat us at the requested booths which were empty the whole time we were there. We sat at the table they gave us and asked about the empty booths. No one was in those booths and customers left the booths. Maybe these rude women's problem was that we were older women. Age discrimination. They would not move us to a booth. Only offered appetizers to us free when we said we were leaving. Very BAD experience. We had chosen BJ's because the food was always good. Not ready to return there again.

Ordered hamburgers, very disappointed with the quality. Being from cattle country in the Plains states, aged beef is something I know,my partner is from the Gulf coast, spent time traveling the east seaboard. Burgers were dry, flavorless, over cooked, buns used were much too large for the patty. Appetizers ordered ½ dozen oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque. Oysters were small, more what would be used for stew pieces, not what one would consider when offered at a $1.75 each as “plump” oysters, bisque had one small nickel sized piece of lobster, flavor was odd, not anything we have tasted in lobster bisque. Restaurant decor was attractive, had a great “family/large group friendly” ambiance, service was well-organized and friendly.

When we got there it took 25 minutes before we ever received any of our drinks. The waitress was very friendly but did not inform us of the things they had run out of on the menu until it was time to order making many of us having to change our order after waiting 40 minutes to do so. For a Friday night the restraunt was out of most things, somewhat odd! When our food did come out the vegetables were cold (supposed to be hot) and overcooked. Many of the meals were missing the glazes/sauces etc. The waitress did her bst to keep everyone happy and was really the only good part of the entire experience. I would definetly not choose to return to this establishment.

Stopped after having an appointment at Geisinger. Hostess was very prompt and friendly, fast to get a table at dinnertime. Waiter was good at the beginning, but pretty much forgot us after the food was delivered by someone else. He did give us some extra butter for the rolls though, that was nice. The crab cake sandwich was a bit mushy, not as chunk-filled as some I've had. The rack of ribs my son had, must have come from a cow on a diet, not much meat, in fact he ended up filling up on bread as his meal didn't fill him, for almost $20 bucks for that meal, it was a bit disappointing. M I liked the atmosphere, quite charming. I think a good place to go for drinks and appetizers after work, but I'm not sure I would return for a dinn

The food was good. The price and service were ok. It was a bit more expensive than last time we ate here and our server was ok, but not great. We were sat by the kitchen and a very large loud party so it was a bit noisy and it was very cold. I wore my coat the entire time i ate. I also was a bit disappointed because we were celebrating my husbands birthday. I added a note to the host because I know in rhe past we have had birthdays at this place and they always did a great job of acknowledging them with a piece of cake and a song. My note must have been overloked though because we left without any acknowledgement of his birthday. This was not the best exprience I have had at this place.

We always enjoy BJs , Valentines Day they had fantastic specials as well as their full menu. There food is always great. Our server Jay was very attentive. They have the most amazing signature corn bread that is delivered to your table, it's not your traditional corn bread, it's moist a cake like and so delicious and we always try to bring some home with us. They have this Smokehouse salad that you can get with your meal, oh my it's delicious , the bring it ice cold, right down to the bowl with their wonderful sweet & sour dressing house dressing. Their steaks and ribs are great but also there salmon is some of the best around . They have a raw bar that is always busy, so it must be equally as good as the rest of BJs menu.

Service as very prompt and friendly. One entree was too spicy for one of our diners...a new one was made very quickly and graciously re-served. Another question about ingredients was answered after having to call a different location. Food was just OK for some, good for others in my party. Steak and crabcake entree was my order, crabcake was good, steak was overseasoned and very tough. Ribs were good, chicken topped salad was good.

Nice physical environment. Food was average to below average in quality and flavor. The table server sought to hurry us to order drinks, appetizers, etc almost immediately after we sat down. The timing of his arrival would have been more suited to talking about any menu or off menu specials. Overall, I would not return for a second visit and since I live out of town that will not be very hard to accomplish.

Wow, did not expect to find extremely fresh oysters and clams on the half shell in such a small town. the food was excellent. The salad and dessert forks were chilled and I haven't experienced that since I ate at a very elegant restaurant. The name is misleading, there is an entire menu of interesting options and many gourmet. Our coffee came in a french press and was very good. Our waitress was new, but provided excellent service.
