A word from Bistro
Here is the background on the makeup of our Restaurant.The Bistro was born in September of 2002.Owned and operated by Declan & Maria Hoctor, Executive Chef: Paul Hughes, and John & Angela O’Sullivan of Roly’s Bistro of Dublin (Ireland). Our Fare is American with a European flair. Executive Chef, Paul Hughes trained in the Savoy Hotel in London for 9 years as well as Roly’s Bistro in Dublin, two of the most respected hostelries in Europe. Roly’s in Dublin was just voted Restaurant of the year for 2010, also voted Chef of the year. Our team of Chef’s has won numerous competitions, and awards representing restaurant & country for their creative and inventive food. We love what we do! Just remember!

  • "I usually trust opentable to have the best of the best when it comes to top-notch restaurants. This one was not one of them. A bowl of pasta with butter for $12.95?!?! What kind of kids menu is that? 1300% mark-up! $9.95 for a bowl of ice cream? Mind you it was about a pint of ice cream, but come on... When I call ahead to ask if there is a kids menu, be honest and say no! Walking out of there $180 later for two adults, and three kids, ages 6,5, &2... You better have fed us spectacular food with phenomenal service. Our waitress was no where to be found most of the night. Lucky for us, one server noticed her neglect and kept checking on us.(Like when she delivered my daughter grouper bites and no fries, but never checked back with us)."

Hands down, The Bistro has the very best rack of lamb that I have ever had! It was accompanied by delicious potatoes and perfectly cooked veggies. I have been in Jupiter since January, dining out every night and the meal at The Bistro was the very best of all of them! See you in 2015!"

  • "we were able to make reservations at this wonderful Irish Bistro on St. Patrick's Day and had a marvelous time. Most everyone was dressed in some kind of green outfit with accessories supplied by the restaurant. Food was simply great. My wife had the Irish lamb stew pie and I had the Shepherd's Pie. Both were outstanding. The menu was truly an Irish fest. There was Irish music and dancing provided by the management. Great evening!"

  • "I picked this restaurant because it seemed convenient - available tables near my location in a city I was visiting and not at all familiar with. It was a little out of the way and was very unassuming, part of a strip mall. The crowd seemed to skew older, and my party and I were originally nervous. But the menu was fantastic -- several choices for vegetarians, different sizes for salads and entrees were available, so you weren't stuffed or underfed, and interesting menu items. My colleague was excited to see Dover sole, which I'm told is impossible to find in the US. Very nice servers and bartenders. Locals seemed to be regulars. Overall very good food and much better than I thought it'd be."

  • "The food is consistently good and the prix fix menu is a very good deal. The salads are fresh and tasty without being overdressed. The vegetable raviolis were delicious, the chicken was moist and tender. However, the tuna was ever so slightly overdone according to our guest. The soufflés, Grand Marnier and Chocolate are both delectably light and worth it! We were seated in the bar which is quite lively but the table we had made it difficult to hear. They do have lovely seating in the patio courtyard area and more romantic main dining room seating as well. It is kid friendly if you come very early or in the off season, not so easy in season. We go to the Bistro year-round and always enjoy it."

  • "This was our second visit and tho it was terrific the first time (Mon. night), it was dreadful this time (Sat. night). The owner/manager was rude, tho he later apologized after someone must have told him he was out of line. We waited more than an hour to get our dinner and one person in our party got the wrong meal. Rather than wait another hour, he said he'd keep it but that we should be charged for the meal he ordered not the one he got. That didn't happen and the waitress said, "but he ate it." We were also charged for 2 salads when there was only 1. After some time, management finally adjusted the bill. It's a pricey restaurant and one expects better treatment We won't return."

We usually sit in the bar area at a high-top, although it can get rather boisterous in that area depending on the crowd. The food quality is always steady, albeit a bit pricey, and the service is always excellent. The Dover Sole is great and always prepared very nicely."
