"Chose Bistro Z as it was close to Tarrytown Music Hall. The restaurant is in Doubletree or Hilton (didn't notice exactly) and my expectations were low, however, we walked in, everyone was lovely, we told the waiter we must make a concert and he couldn't have been more attentive and personable. I had Chilean Sea Bass which was luscious, cooked in its own juices, no annoying sauces on it, served with butternut squash cubed and some other diced veggies. The beet salad was amazing. My husband had the steak and it was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. A pleasant surprise!!"

"we visited during Restaurant week and had a very pleasant evening. The service - Michael - was excellent, and the food was perfectly cooked and delicious. We wouldn't normally eat in hotel restaurants because they usually lack a bit of atmosphere but this was very pleasant. My only criticism is one of the reasons I don't like restaurants in hotels is that they did start putting the breakfast place settings out whilst people were still in the restaurant. I know a small thing but a personal dislike...."

"The service was a bit slow, however we would normally overlook this if it wasn't for one incident. When the main dish came out, the steak we order smelled horrific!!! We asked the waiter to take it back, he apologized and did so. However the manager came over to tell us that she and the chef saw nothing wrong with the steak. She insisted the steak was fine and was being sold all night long. We told her to bring it back, smell it in front of us and tell us it was fine to our face. She continued insisting that the chef said it was good, however she doesn't eat meat so she relies on what the chef says. We were absolutely shocked that a restaurant manager would approach a customer in that manner. Never going back or recommending it..."

"Booked an intimate wedding at this hotel with a dinner for 11 people. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially manager Cheryl. We were seated in a private alcove area that could have held a much larger party. The food was to die for! Try the crispy shrimp and also the scallops. They have a great bread basket - ask for extra raisin bread. Terrific and reasonably priced wine list - we drank several bottles at $19-23 per, and the sommalier's recs were on point. Chef came out to meet us - nice touch. We moved our party to the beautiful patio for drinks after - not well lit, but very cozy, and staff brought us candles even though the restaurant had closed. The bartenders at the separate bar took good care of us late. Go here!!!"

"Did not expect that a restaurant located n a hotel would be so incredible! It was so delicious, and such amazing service--the only thing I can say is wow! Any and everything they could do for us was done quickly and efficiently. I had the Chilean Sea bass, another person had the veal chop and another had the duck and each of our plates was so good (my mouth is watering from the thought!). All I can say is I am going back soon! Don't let the thought that this little gem is located in a hotel to keep you away!"
