"You'll feel like you're in Paris at Bistro Voltaire. The space is intimate and cozy with red banquettes, black and white tiled floor, white linens, and small vases of fresh flowers strategically placed on each table. The staff is friendly, the service is impeccable, and the food oustanding. I give this restaurant five stars. It is definately worth a try and it won't disappoint. Bon appetite!"

"Service was excellent. Would have rated the food excellent except the trout, which we both had, was extremely salty (but a nice piece of fish and generous portion). Ambiance is very French. Tables are very close together. Was not a problem for us as it was early and business was slow, but might be a problem on a busy night."

"Atmosphere was very nice - nice for a classy dinner or a romantic date. I went with my parents and we all liked the food, service and atmosphere. Food was amazing, and our waitress was very nice and friendly."

"The short ribs were outstanding. The french fries are the best in Chicago. They are cooked twice the way the French do them. The lamb was cooked just right. It is nice to get med rare when you ask for it. The wine was memorable. I cannot wait to go back."

"While the service was very good, the food, for the most was good; however, the beef in the beef bourguignon ( I apologize for my spelling) was not tender, as I feel it should have been for one of the restaurant's specialties. This was mentioned to my server, who indicated he would pass my comment on to the chef, which I hope was done, because it is a very nice newer restaurant, and it does appear to be trying to please its customers."
