"Fabulous as always. They were out of halibut, so I adventurously tried the uni - amazing! The arugula at the end was a nice touch. Our server recommended the dish be paired with a Sancerre. It was a perfect match."

"Have been there several times and the food is always consistently good and inventive. We are always greeted warmly, and we enjoy eating there. What we don't enjoy is the mall location, so it tends to be a place we eat for convenience, rather than an evening out."

"Vis A Vis has become one of our favorite special spots where we enjoy taking friends because of the great service and food. Wonderful food and wine surprises everytime we go. The owners are very invoved with every aspect and it shows.
p.s. the lip balm the chef sold me is amazing! is called Salve me."

"This is our 2nd time here and the food is very good. The portions are too large and food is always left on the plate. The chef/owner does an excellent job without help. Our salads could have fed 3 of us and sometimes too much food on a plate is unappetizing. Service was very good however the server, a very nice young man was not knowledgeable about the dishes nor had he tasted most of them being a vegetarian. Many questions from us could not be answered by him and he kept asking the chef the questions. The food is fresh and well prepared. We would go again."

"There's usually a fabulous special or two but we opted for the linguini with uni sauce- amazing, unexpected flavors here- and I am not a fan of uni. Everything was perfect- our server was attentive and knew the menu and wine list inside and out though we had not seen her before despite many previous visits"

"Best dinner to date at Bistro Vis A' Vis. Three starters - a KILLER Fritto Misto with octopus, shrimp etc and a glass of Freeman Pinot Noir. Then a scallop and crab cake - killer too a touch of complimentary white, the wilted spinach salad with bacon and a creme brulee with a short muscat for desert. Ahhhhh !"

"A little pricey.....for what you get at dinner, food and ambiance not not compelling enough to go back for dinner. Wine list is also pricey.....Good warm bread tho... At lunch time they have a couple of delicious salads... Good tuna tartare.."
