    Banquet Facilities: bistro VG has three private banquet rooms. The large room can seat up to 60 persons. The smaller rooms can seat 30. There is no room charge; however, there are required deposits to secure a private room reservation and limited menus for groups over 16.

  • "We made a reservation of 4 for 8:30pm via opentable, however we did not get seated until 9:15pm. We fine out frequently and love a good dinner, but we have never experienced a 45 minute wait when we had reservations. After we were seated dinner was great, my partner had the filet and it was excellent, I had the ribeye special with foi grois butter, lobster ravioli, sautéed spinach and potatoes, this dish was full of flavor and great quality meat. I was not impressed with the service for the price level of this restaurant. I plan to try it again as it may have been just an off night for the staff, but once again awesome food!!"

  • "Excellent food and service. We had a group of 4 who ordered seafood, poultry and steak (2). We also ordered a flatbread appetizer (YUM), two bowls of white bean soup with truffle oil and a crepe. Each menu item was presented according to request and each of my guests confirmed their delight and pleasure with the food. I would certainly return."

  • "This is the type of place you take close friends for a great night of eating and catching up. And when the evening ends, you quietly say to yourself, that was a wonderful evening...the food was spot on, the server was helpful, attentive and anticipatory...and of course the place is just cool! It's the type of place where you can share food if you want...you can mix plates, and yes, you can dine knowing there really is a chef back there cooking some incredible food that you can eat, you can taste and you can savor."

  • "After having a wonderful experience here a few weeks ago this recent visit was unfortunate. Server was very nice but in experienced and took a ridiculous amount of time to help us. Manager intervened but too little too late. A more appropriate way to compensate would have been to offer us a complimentary next visit. Appreciated the dessert and wine but still have too poor a taste in our mouths to come back anytime soon."

  • "BVG has always honored our reservations (on time)....provided attentive service....it's not crazy loud; they have an interesting menu with unusual small plates. Table service, cocktails, food and preparation have always exceeded our expectations; AND if i'm driving, since no parking attendent will ever touch the keys to my 911 - if a resturant doesn't have self parking....I won't be there ....they do; which adds to why I like this place."

The food was very good, the service was attentive but not intrusive or rushed. Drinks... no problems. I hope to return soon."

  • "When Van Gogh's opened in Roswell many years ago, it was a fine dining oasis for N. Fulton. The restaurant has been refreshed and re-imagined as the Bistro VG to keep it current with its competition in the Roswell Historic district. Still a special occasion restaurant with a somewhat pricey menu, Bistro VG is able to deliver a very nice evening out. The food remains excellent and the service as well. A good, but somewhat pricey, wine list complements the menu well."

All of the food was fresh and prepared perfectly. Highlight of the evening was a B&E Manhattan....trust me."

  • "My husband and I had to drop our daughter off for a sleepover in the Roswell area, so were looking for a place for 'date night'. We were so happy to have selected Bistro VG! The food was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the Lamb Popsicles over kale. (The kale in particular was FANTASTIC.) The service was also great - attentive, knowledgeable, and available when you needed them but not intrusive. Roswell is out of the way for us, but it was good enough for a special trip. "

  • "There've been a lot of new restaurants opened in the Roswell area in the past couple of years, but for us Bistro VG consistently delivers the best dining experience. The food (this time it was Sea Bass with fennel & artichoke heart with a lobster claw added for excitement; tuna tartare served on a bed of piquant guacamole) typically marries a complex but harmonious blend of flavors and textures that even an adventurous and creative home chef is unlikely to be able to match. That's what we go out for - there's always something new! Add easy parking, not having to fight shoulder to shoulder in an overcrowded din, not feeling like you've been way overcharged for mediocre fare, and Bistro VG's place at the top of our list is secure!"

  • "I had requested proseco upon our arrival so when we got there, they had a special table for us with the proseco already poured. We were celebrating my husband's son's job promotion to COO. I had also requested a special dessert with 'Congratulation's' written in chocolate which they presented at the end of our meal with a complimentary glass of champagne. The staff is fantastic, my favorite place and right in our backyard! The food was fabulous and the ambiance magical."

  • "One of our meals was not fully cooked, mussels, and when we asked to remove from the bill they said they would but the bill came and they charged us not once but twice after we said we did not want the item replaced. They eventually removed it but the managements attitude was very negative. I won't return!"

  • "Great decor, the staff is dressed well and the menu is exciting. However the tables for 2 are 3 feet long so you have to yell, the waiter had a hard time recalling the specials at 8:30. It took 10 minutes for him to get me a soon for my bouillabaisse and he just seemed overwhelmed. The food was exciting and the chicken livers app was perfect as was the pear salad, but the entrees were way way too salty. The next morning I felt like i had walked through a desert. Also, they never got me my side of rabe. All these things could be fixed with simple tweaks and you'd have a 5 star eatery, but until I here otherwise i'd rather spend that money somewhere else."

  • "Bistro VG has become one of our favorite Atlanta area restaurants. The menu is outstanding, service is great, couldn't ask for nicer scenic view and the wine list is good. We moved here from Washington, DC where 4-5 star restaurants abound so we are very selective where we dine. We have been to the restaurant 7 times and never had a single complaint. We are considering Bistro VG as a site to hold our 50th anniversary party later this year. Please use the review, it is a great restaurant."

Made reservations late afternoon on that Friday and was so happy to get a 7:30 time that fit our schedule perfectly. Rare but we lucked out!! The staff is always welcoming and greet us as if it is important to them that we chose to dine at their place. Folks are attentive without being intrusive. The food is so well prepared and presented.   • "having been to the restaurant 12 years ago, this was quite a new experience. the food and menu was unbelievable. I had the softshell crab and tartare which were both amazing. Our waiter was Terri, having frequented upscale restaurants in buckhead and highlands, nc among others, I would say that Terry is the BEST waiter I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years! Please give him kudos from my group. He was attentive, knew all the details on the dishes, watched over the table and engaged at all the right times. he is unbelievable."

  • "Love the atmosphere . I hav been there a few times for lunch, this was my first time for dinner . My brother and sister in law were in fr Detroit, where they own their own restaurant. My sister in law had the mussels and thought they were " outstanding", however , my brother was extremely disappointed in the skirt steak special , explained it as tough and no flavor. ( It was cooked med rare. )my husband and I were very pleased with our choices of marg pizza and scallops. The cheese and meat board presentation was not as impressive as I hav had at lunch, but great flavor . The smoked pear salad was a very intense flavor of smoke taking over the entire plate . Service was great , however, my brother was never asked hiw the special was. "

  • "I have dined at Bistro VG many times but this was my first time eating there for lunch. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside, the outside dining area is by the parking lot but it is nicely landscaped and it was a late lunch so there was very little activity. The waiter was excellent - he was unobtrusive but was totally on point. We both started with the soup of the day (Yellow Tomato Gazpacho with Lump Crab) which was very flavorful. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Salad as my lunch entree and it was delicious, the crispy scallops and shrimp were a great match with the spinach greens and berries. My companion had the Salmon BLT and they enjoyed that as well. I will definitely return for lunch as well as for dinner!"
