  • "Bistro st. tropez is close to my office so it is convenient and it is great for lunch. great salads, sandwiches and I love the trio fries. there is a great view too. I've not been here after work but I'm sure it is great. "

  • "Crazy set up walking into the multi-tentant location, but the food was really very good. Had the escargot with mushrooms, which was amazing and the pesto was some of the best I've had! Don't be deterred by the so-so ambiance, the food is really terrific!"

  • "Went to Bistro St. Tropez is a hidden gem. We went on a Saturday night with a group of 5. Everyone loved their meals. Matthew, our waiter was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommend."

  • "very ordinary preparation of steak The dessert was basically ice cream on a cracker Relatively expensive for not so interesting food"

  • "Some friends and I visited Bistro St. Tropez during Philly Wine Week because they were offering wines from local vineyard Karamoor Estates for just $5 a glass. The service here was what really impressed us. Chef Patrice personally stopped by our table, and our waiter, Jeremie, was friendly and attentive throughout. We were brought freshly baked rolls and an incredible pesto olive oil first thing. (Jeremie actually packed us each up a serving of bread and olive oil to go because he could tell we were loving it. Over the top!) We ordered the Tarte aux Poireaux (good), the Tarte de Legumes (even better),and the pan-seared scallops (best). We also ordered various desserts; the Creme Brulee was hands down the winner. All around, a great find!"

  • "My husband and I had a wonderful and VERY affordable lunch at this beautiful restaurant in an unlikely spot on the 4th floor of a mall. The view over the river and 30th street station was great fun. One of us chose the "menu", which included enough soup for us to share, a very nice pasta entree, and an amazing warm chocolate cake with hot, gooey chocolate filling. The other person had an ample and delicious slice of quiche lorraine, accompanied by a very tasty green salad and spectacular hot rolls. We each chose a $6 glass of quite nice red wine. We arrived by train from the suburbs and had an easy one block walk to the restaurant. We look forward to trying dinner on our next visit. Great choice for French food in Philly."

  • "Lost in the hype of new trendy restaurants is Bistro St. Tropez. Maintains its high standards, easy to get a reservation. One of the best places to impress out of town visitors. Aim to dine at sunset- one of the best views around- that includes DC and NYC. Can't understand why it isn't jammed in the evenings, though I am not complaining as long as they stay in business."

  • "We having been dining in the city for years and just found this restaurant. Loved everything about it. The food, people and view cannot be beat. We will definitely be back."

  • "I went for the great view, but the friendly service and the exquisite food were the best part. I would say it was worth the price, and I will definitely be coming back soon."

  • "Despite the slow service due to problems in the kitchen, the quality of our dinners was very good. The waiter took the extremely long waits for each course into consideration when presenting us with our bill, and we are very appreciative. The view of the city from both rooms in the restaurant make dining here very pleasurable. We have dined here many times and will return again."

  • "I have not had the opportunity to dine at St. Tropez in the evening. However, I am sure it would be as pleasant in the evening as during the day. Great place for quiet lunching! The crab cakes are wonderful, always!!"

  • "It was our 1st time dining here even though we live in the neighborhood. We had never heard of anyone we know ever going there so really didn't know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised to find nice dining room with beautiful view and excellent food. Service was a little scattered, didn't seem to be a manager running the dining room. Will definitely come back."

  • "My wife and I along with another couple had a wonderful dinner at Bistro St. Tropez last Saturday night. Everything was perfect. The view, the atmosphere and the cocktails set the mood for a great dinner. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The rack of lamb that I had was tremendous. I would enthusiastically recommed this restaurant to anybody interested in fine dining."

  • "As we walked in, the restaurant seemed classy and romantic. As we walked into the second room, where the bar is, for a second we felt like it was a Chinese restaurant. Room was huge with big plastic plants/trees and the very large " Bistro St. Tropez" sign was flashing in florescent pink, blue, green.... What a terrible way to intrude on the beautiful view of the river and city. There was no corkage fee, which was a pleasant surprise. Always love to bring special wine to dinner. The food was good but not a WOW. The escargot with mushrooms and hanger steak (rare) would be my suggestion."

  • "A delightful restaurant, staffed by trained professionals, serving excellent food in a space with an incredible view of Philadelphia.......We stumbled upon this place several years ago and can't wait to go back. It is a little hard to find the first time but it is worth the effort. Quality rules and Chef Patrice indulges his patrons with foods guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Can't wait for our next meal."

  • "Fantastic french food, hearty dishes and a great wine selection, with a respectable beer list as well for a french restaurant. Cool to look at all the furniture on the way up (it's in an interior design building), and the views are great. Service was wonderful, and told us about upcoming wine tastings. Can't wait to come back!"

  • "I had a wonderful experience, filled with great food, great ambience, and great views of Philly. I highly recommend for nice occasions, romantic dinners, or just a dinner out with friends (which is how I found the restaurant). They're really accommodating (I had to move up my reservation an hour at the last minute and they fit me in) and everyone was really nice and seemed happy to be there."

  • "My wife and I went to Bistro St Tropez for Valentine's Day. They had a special 4 course meal option with wine pairings for each course. The food was lovely, and our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. Overall great experience. Obvisously on the expensive side though."

  • "Great service and the food was excellent. We went on Valentines weekend and they had a special menu. All courses were great. I cannot comment on the regular menu but Im sure was just as good. The inside is darker with nice ambience. It was a little pricey but we did have some wine too."

  • "Too fancy!! As in overly shot up prices worth almost triple of what you can get for at Magiano's (In case case you don't know, another expensive restaurant with quality food at an abundant amount) and the food severely rationed to childlike portions while the plate is ginormous. It was a good experience overall while the scenic view and romantic mood was top notch, even though we we're still hungry afterwards, had a good time at least. I would recommend on REAL special occasions, and eat before you show up"

  • "I went during restaurant week for my birthday with about 7 of my girlfriends. I loved everything about this restaurant from the food to the service. O and can't forget the fact that it was BYOB. The view was awesome at night. The Chef even came out to ask us how our food was. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Our group of 4 picked this place for restaurant week. We had to walk through what reminded us of a creepy abandoned department store to get to the restaurant proper, but once inside, we instantly felt transported. The place is beautiful. There are huge windows overlooking the river (even in the bathroom--probably the coolest looking bathroom I've ever been in). The servers were really great and attentive. They gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and we never felt rushed once. The food was delicious. We each got something different and shared with each other and everything was super delicious, even when we took gambles and were like "oh, let's get some escargot, because when else can we do that" it was all excellent. Go here."

  • "We enjoyed this restaurant for lunch during the recent Restaurant week. It is located in a furniture store/warehouse that was really nice to wander through. Our food was delicious and well prepared. The view was very nice and we were seated at the window. Our waiter was prompt and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon treat."

  • "Venue is strange - above a shopping mall but once in the restaurant, views of the river and bridges light up at night are spectacular. Restaurant has good ambience. Service was great -enough attention but not overwheming. Food was overall good but nothing extraordinary for the prices. The chef substituted a side on my entree because of an allergy but then added a sauce over the vegetables that contained the food I can't eat so not enough attention to detail (restaurant wasn't busy either)"
