Bistro PastisMother's Day Brunch ExcellentThis was a very busy day and thus the noise levels were higher than usual, but still manageable. The service was bustling and energetic. We were well served and the food, as usual, was excellent. We have been to this restaurant many times for special occasions and love it.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Bistro Pastis.First time at Bistro Pastis. Had an early reservation so was quite quiet upon arrival. Sound built up as restaurant filled up. Food was very good, but not the best we have experienced. One of our party wanted to make a substitution and the chef came out from the back and explained why he would not make the sub. Not a big issue and the scallops were excellent.
Overall very good, but there are many other excellent restaurants to try but an excellent neighborhood find.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMBistro Pastis continues toBistro Pastis continues to over deliver in every aspect of their operation and is a real neighborhood gem. While many people may perceive it as possibly being expensive, it's pricing sits around the "fine casual dining" chains like earl's, Cactus Club etc., and in some cases cheaper. The Sunday night we were in, people were in suits, jeans, shorts and everything in between and you know...it all works and fits into the Kits neighborhood!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointsAmazingly consistent high quality bistro food for more than 10 years now. The recent Vietnam menu was tasty, fresh, and interesting.
A real gem in Kitsilano.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a Visit!First time to this restaurant located on West 4th Ave. in Kitsilano. Menu offerings were varied, and dishes served were tasty. Service was friendly and efficient as well. Definitely worth a visit.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappoints - alwaysNever disappoints - always excellent food, service and general all around good feeling.
Always feel welcome and comfortable. No excessive background noise, good for conversation.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
