"the 2 entees we had were ok but not outstanding, the service was unhurried and helpfull, the one outstanding thing we had was the apple cobbler, which we were told was new on the dessert menu"

"Came here to celebrate our 11th anniversary. Had requested a table with a river view, and they had reserved us a booth on the very end of the row, overlooking the river which was wonderful! My husband's burger was 'good, but not much seasoning', and I tried a unique entre' which was EXCELLENT- poblano pepper stuffed with lentils- was very flavorful. Our waitress, Sara, gave us great service, but did not 'hover'. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience. :)"

"Food was good. Hot,fresh,generous. View could be very nice if seated River Side. Although we requested river-view (& made our reservations in advance) we were seated next to the entry Hallway. This area had constant waitress traffic & many other tables were open. We asked to be moved but were told the other tables were reserved. During our entire meal the open tables were never seated. The waitress was friendly and informed although in-attentive. The live music from the bar was a pleasant addition. Very nice vocalist (3/31/12)"

"The entrees were tasty and well presented but extremely salty. Service was friendly but not meeting expectations of a highly-rated restaurant. Deserts were excellent. Would recommend with some reservation due to the saltiness of the entrees."

"We love this restaurant and go here regularly. Especially when we are celebrating; birthdays, new job or just life. The food is always excellent and the service and atmosphere fantastic. I have recommended this place to several people and they are always very happy with the choice."

"The restaurant was very busy at 6pm on a recent Saturday evening. A good sign given the state of the economy right now. My husband and I both ordered fish dishes. Mine was the trout with a stuffing of leek and butternut squash wrapped in bacon. It was delicious--a unique presentation with the skin left on the fish and served on a bed of spinach with various-colored cauliflower. My husband ordered the whitefish with asparagus. He said that the fish was very flavorful and light. We shared an order of the beet, bleu cheese salad. This was also an excellent first course. We would definitely recommend this restaurant as oneof the best in the Fox Valley. In the warmer months, the outside seating area along the Fox River is always crowded."

"Interesting mix of foods on the menu. And the menu was somewhat small, not a lot of selections, which is fine. Sometimes one can get lost with too many choices. All in all, the food was very good. My husband had a hamburger which came with bacon and a hot dog on top. He loved it. I had the rigatoni with Amish chicken. It was outstanding but then I'm a big fan of Amish chicken. The restaurant has a large deck which overlooks the Fox River. That would be a great place in warmer weather."
