  • I enjoyed everything about

I enjoyed everything about the meal at Bistro One. Of course, the lobby and mezzanine of the Ritz are both stunningly beautiful, so that starts things of well. The pool was beautifully lit;because we dined early enough, were one of only a handful of tables able to enjoy the quiet romantic flavor of that lovely space. The new menu, though limited, is creative, and was well executed by Chef Felipe. My meal of Galician octopus and potatoes, followed by rack of lamb; both were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. My dinner companions were equally pleased with their meals. We had the pleasure of being served by Serhan, who was ably assisted by an enthusiastic team of companions. A great night all around.

Excellent, personable service. Food quality is bar-none. Dining experience is 5 star whether you are outside or inside. They make sure you are comfortable based on your group. They cater to you if you want to be intimate with just your significant other or if you are with your whole family. I highly recommend Bistro One LR - Ritz-Carlton - South Beach to everyone, whether you are celebrating a special occasion or are just looking for a fine dining experience be it for brunch, lunch or dinner.

We arrived punctually for our 4pm reservation and here is a summary of events; 1. We were not greeted upon arrival (despite being Christmas Day) 2. Our Table was not ready for us 3. We were made to wait at the Maitre D podium for 15 minutes whilst they prepared one for us 4. We were not offered anything whilst waiting (be it a seat, a drink, or an apology) 5. 4.15pm We were showed to our table 6. We started on the wonderful buffet 7. At 5.15pm when one of the party of 9 went up for next round of food (hadn't reached main course of Turkey or Beef yet) observed the buffet being cleared away. 8. No one told us the buffet was closing 9. Only a few of us had started our main course and none of us had dessert Management were lacklustre

After initial confusion about our table , we wanted inside they wanted to put us outside by pool , we had an amazing brunch, Joel the waiter realised we were first timers and made us feel relaxed and helped us by showing where the specificfoods were . the starters we ok mainly salad and fish , mains were carvery and other cooked meats which we all enjoyed , but the desserts were just amazing. An entire room fille dwith miniture cakes , flavored panacotta and treats willy wonka would be proud of.

Sometimes people pick food with their hands and put it in their mouth maybe they should put signs so people respect the food...One time I also saw one man smelling the oysters and putting them back on the serving dish. We love the service and the Brunch is good but that is why the ambiance sometimes changes...

We got there early but were cordially seated for Bloody's and Champs. Our server, Haydee, was gracious and informative, even giving a tour of the buffet for our friends who had never experienced the brunch. Some of the food in the schafing dishes was a bit on the cool side, but everything was beautifully presented and delecious in flavor. It is such a lovely room and we were so warmly recieved by everyone. My only complaint is that the caviar bar is no longer self-serve (probably thanks to me from the last visit!) Even then, our wonderful Haydee noted that she would keep it coming, especially considering how close we were seated to it! They really have the answer to every situation!!!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. Made me think about trying it again for a Brunch. GREAT SERVERS, GREAT BARTENDERS, PERFECT MOJITOS. I would like to see a better wine list as it was just okay at the reasonable end over $150 it was fine but I don't always want to spend that much.

No doubt this is a classy location, However, my experience was not what you expect from the Ritz-Carlton. The service was terrible, even though it was a buffet station layout. All the other parties waiter walked them on a tour of the variety of stations after he greeted them as they were seated. Tables seated after me were offered drinks and of course the tour. I had to ask numerous times for my waiter and drinks. On the description for the meal on line,I was under the impression that Champagne was included. All of the tables around had Champagne poured as they sat, even leaving the bottle on the table, not us however. The only good "Ritz" experience was Mathias who introduced himself as the newly appointed Restaurant Manager, from Germany.

The food was just OK, the beef was special, but the fish was very bland. The service was not good. The waitress did not know the menu or wines. He took forever to pass by our table, and forgot to bring water. Took advantage of Miami Spice, I feel that this program is a turn off. Felt we were treated differently because of it.

The food was outstanding. We chose from the Miami Spice menu. I was disappointed at the apple tart dessert, however. It was too dry and tough. Service was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. The clientele seemed to be part of a discount rate weekend. Not many well-dressed people were there.

We made reservations for brunch buffet at 10AM on your site. We walk to the hotel and they told us brunch buffet doesn't start until 11AM. We came back. It wasn't until 11:30 when they started to put most of the food out. We were extremely disappointed. We've had brunch buffet at various Ritz Carlton hotels in CA, Chicago (which I think is run by Four Seasons), Boston and DC. South Beach was the most disappointing.

The service at Bistro One LR is excellent. Their attention to detail is second to none. The ambiance is among the best I have experienced in a hotel restaurant. The food however, was somewhat disappointing. My goat cheese appetizer was good, but the lobster risotto I had for my entree was lacking. One of the spices in the dish was used to such an extreme that it over powered the overall flavor of the dish. It wasn't inedible, but it WAS not what I had hoped to eat. i had the molten chocolate cake with banana ice cream for dessert, and that was quite tasty, but couldn't make up for the entree's lackluster performance.

The brunch was excellent, but we expected no less. The only complaint is that, while there was obviously available seating inside, the hostess sat us outside --maybe because of the kids -- where the heat made the occasion less than comfortable. Even the Mother's Day flowers wilted in the heat.

Celebrated my wife's birthday at Bistro One LR at the Ritz Carlton - South Beach on March 28. The restaurant was wonderful, food delicious, waitress was terrific, the restaurant staff very efficient and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect birthday for my wife. She loved it. The special cake that the kitchen created for my wife was perfect! We will definitely be eating here again in our next visit to Miami. Highly recommended.

This poolside brunch scene brings out the best of South Beach. The setting alone offers serious entertainment and the food, while arguably over priced, is pretty tasty. In particular, we enjoyed the incredible variety, ranging from sushi and beef tenderloin... To crab claws and shrimp... To cheeses and gourmet cold meats ... To standard eggs and omlettes ... And even pizzas for the kids. Service is very professional and after the third bloody Mary no one would care, anyway. Again, my only criticism is the $75 price tag. Even with endless bloodies and mimosas, it's hard to consume $75 worth of food at brunch. Still, on an occasional basis, this brunch is definitely worth the trip.

Disappointed in our return to RC for Sunday Brunch. Food was mediocre - not nearly as good as I remember from a year ago. Service was so-so and certainly not up to RC standards. And who let's their kids play video games in the dining room of the RC? Oh I know, Mr & Mrs Clueless. No longer worth the $65 per person.

We take an opportunity to try diferent and new restaurants during the Miami Spice to determine in the future if they are worth while going too. In this case the alternatives were minimum but the desert was the best.... the chocolate! and the appetizer goat and tomato was also very good... Otherwise Not what we were expecting of this category of restaurant. There were few tables with people so it made it boaring... not a place I would recomend in the future. The timing was off between each coarse... very few people and they took long...

The variety of food allows you to choose according to your tastes. I love the fact that mimosas and shots are unlimited- definite plus in my book! Outdoor or indoor dining is great, and when your done go across the street to the beach and finish your day! It is well worth the cost.

I'm a waiter at Scarpetta/Fontainebleau so I'm not going to name the waitress we all have our days but I will say that Vee (server in training) stepped in and saved the day and made our 4 yr anniversary a fantastic one!!!
