Bistro NolahFantastic Food and service. My wife and I were amazingly surprised by this little Gem. In a location that is not so mainstream I took a gamble when I saw that the menu had Alligator stew. We like not only excellent food but also out-of-the-ordinary food once in a while.
After asking about it and being told that they are from a sustainable farm, we were absolutely delighted by the experience. The aroma, the texture, the visual and of course the taste of everything on our plate was divine. Pair this with a private import syrah from Chile to make everything perfect.
We will definitely go back. Just a note they get the gator only for about 2 wks at a time about twice a year.8/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDelish! Our second visit, food was delicious, and the sommellier chooses some excellent wines at a fair price point. We'll be returning, guaranteed. Try the Shrimp & Grits, the Blackened fish and the ceviche -- you'll be glad you did!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAdd to your listSometimes a little gem is to be found a few steps from home. As you walk in you are welcomed with a smile, introduce to your seat and taken care of like you are the only client in the restaurant. You even know your waiter by his first name. Food as a touch of simple but with a Southern charm twist. This is truly an experience for the pallet but a pleasant evening away from home.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food / cooked asExcellent food / cooked as requested / able to make changes to menu5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was amazing as usual.
