Diner Reviews
  • "The service was good, the food was good (but the chef's are clearly board doing the same ole same ole), and the bartender needs to learn how to make a much better Sazarac, but I'm from New Orleans where they know how to do it right!!! With all that said, I'll keep coming back!!!"

  • "We were looking to escape to Paris for on a Sunday night. The steak was served cold when it was supposed to be warm, the accompanying sauce not special, the taste of the beaujolais was off , it was difficult to have a conversation because of the noise. They mixed up our reservation with a larger party , charged more for the wine than was on the menu. Very disappointed in this months dine around choice. Food was served quickly, pommes frites were delicious and our water glasses were constantly refilled."

  • "Food is really great. Service was friendly but very slow. Waiter rarely came by to check on us."

  • "The meat was chewy and overall the food was bland. Wine selection was good. The prices were a little steep for the food quality"

  • "Unfortunately I found the place too noisy to really enjoy. However the food was excellent and so was the service."

  • "Bistro Niko has been our go-to restaurant for special occasions. We marked 50 there. We toasted 60 there. We've had romantic dinners for two there. We've gathered our best friends for a memorable celebration there. Service is attentive but not intrusive. Classic French dishes - coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon - are divine. You can taste the sea in the fresh seafood - oyster and mussels. Start off with a basket of the Gougeres with a carafe of the Specialite Le St. Germain. Best French bistro in Atlanta!"

  • "We loved our first meal at Bistro Niko. The food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. However, we were dining with some dear friends that we had not seen in many years and the noise level was way too loud to have an enjoyable conversation."

  • "Been here several times and as Forrest Gump says, you never know what you are going to get. I generally have a problem with incredibly weak drinks at all Buckhead Life restaurants but this time they were great. I have had the frisee salad before and it has been light, a little tart with some crispy lardons. This time it was old looking frisee and just saturated in grease, at least 1/4 cup on the bottom of the plate. Am kicking myself for not bringing it to their attention but didn't want to spoil the mood of the evening. Service was great. Entrees trout and skate wing very good. Gratis celebratory dessert was excellent."

  • "My companion & I shared the scallops & calamari appetizer which was very good. But my sea bass had little-to-no seasoning. I was a little disappointed in the meal."

  • "Food was excellent, great wine list and outdoor dining was terrific. Very nice place that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys great food and wine."

  • "Every once in a while I am deceived by the reviews on Open Table. Unfortunately, my experience at Bistro Niko is a case in point. Upon entering the restaurant I was overwhelmed by the noise emanating from the dining room. It was unsuitable for conversation or relaxation. Unfortunately, the food was a greater disappointment. I ordered an appetizer of muscles: they were miniscule, floating in a bath of lemon butter sauce. My entrée, scallops, were also undersized and served with the same generic sauce as the muscles. I passed on desert (the best decision of the evening)."

  • "Our family celebrated a birthday at Niko Bistro. Everyone enjoyed the quality of the food. Unfortunately our food was served so slowly that it was obvious that the kitchen was having a problem. One of our party didn't get served until the rest of us were almost finished. The manager apologized but then the dessert and coffee took almost 15 minutes to serve. On top of that they couldn't find the sugar service. It took another 15 minutes to settle the bill. All in all not as enjoyable evening as we expected from a Buckhead Life group restaurant."

  • "I've been coming here since it opened, and it's never been anything but a dining pleasure. The staff is great. The server, Hamad, is always great and makes a point to make the night special. It's just an all around fantastic find. For the quality and quantity, the prices are great. Highly recommend."

  • "This was my My first visit to bistro Nikki. Atmosphere was great, service was great, food quality @ portion sizes were great but pricey."

  • "Average food, especially for the price. Very poor service - slow and inattentive. Probably will not go back."

  • "Everything was excellent from the time Hostess seated us in the small area away from the main dinning room, everything went well and we enjoyed our second experience much more than the first"

  • "We have been to Bistro Niko many times. We love French Onion Soup and theirs is the best in Atlanta to us. My mom went with us for the first time. Being a senior adult, she appreciated so very much that she and I could share our entrée. The kitchen divided it for us. It is that type of extra touch that makes Bistro Niko such a great place to dine."

  • "I like the atmosphere in this place. Try the ham and cheese sandwich with an egg on top. It's not your normal Ham and cheese sandwich. This place always delivers."

  • "Our first booth was in the large dining room; very noisy. Asked for another area and was moved into the smaller dining room. There was no improvement, noise level still high. We couldn't have a decent conversation with our friends. The food was excellent but would not go back due to the noise."

  • "The food and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this place for similar gatherings or for just a nice dinner out."

  • "Trout almandine was overly oily but everything else was perfect. The "3 plate" special is a great deal that I just noticed. Appetizer + dessert for less than $6 more."

  • "We just love this restaurant and are so happy to have it near us. Love the food and ambience. Sitting at the high top tables at the front if the restaurant gives a nice view of outside. The patio is OK for drinks, but the small tables make a meal difficult. Our food this time was delicious as always!"

  • "The food is fantastic and very authentic French style. The duck sausage with lentils is delicious. This is my favorite restaurant in Metro Atlanta!"

  • "The French bistro styling, a boisterous atmosphere and delicious food, all will make you think it was plucked right off of the Left Bank in Paris. Knowledgeable and attentive service too. One of our favorite spots in Atlanta."

  • "The food and service are always wonderful here. We had dinner at one of the hot new places in the westside district and it honestly doesn't even compare. Bistro Niko just always gets it right! Wonderful oysters as well as other small bites like the tomato tarte. I love it also because it's not too fussy. They have something that will please everyone."

  • "We were greeted warmly by the hostess when we arrived who also worked hard to find a nice table for us. The food at the restaurant was excellent however the service from our waiter was losy, we were sitting outside on a beautiful Friday evening yet the disinterest from our server was not pleasant at all."

  • "I arrived at valet parking for $2 which is a great price. Was immediately seated and the waiter arrived with a bottle of water and was ready to give us the specials for the day. Gave us time to look over the menu and take our order once we decided what we wanted. I had the soft shell crabs as an appetizer which was excellent. Ambiance was great..such a great place to meet a friend for dinner."

  • "Had dinner but was a bit disappointed by the meal options and the service. The server did not try hard to sell the food. The deserts were pretty good, especially the apple tart. Wine list was long and had plenty of options."

  • "CONSISTANCY -- whatever you order, it will always be the same quality as before!! The "Shrimp Brick" was totally divine - so tasty. The smoked salmon "starter" was delicious. The desserts to die for!! Kudos to our server, David."
