altho we went on Mother's Day evening, it was not extremely crowded. we arrived early, sat at the bar where the male bartender was too busy to help us and acted annoyed when we questioned why we were not getting served after sitting there for a while , un-acknowledged. the female bartender was darling, sweet and helpful, but also very busy.

The My husband order skate & I had steak au poivre and both were so yummy. They gave us comp dessert, my fave- profiteroles. The noise level was fine. We were not looking for a quiet nite & thought the atmosphere was lively. The food is amazing, and the staff is always excellent. Our server, Matt, was great -- very friendly, personable, with a good sense of humor. All staff members, really, are excellent, and this is consistent from visit to visit. The high quality of the meal will draw you in, and the high level of service will keep you coming back. The menu is tough to beat. The food was amazing. I had the steak au poivre and it was delicious. Before I ate the steak, our waiter asked me to cut into the steak to see if it was cooked the way I wanted it. Never had anyone do that before! My wife had the Coq au vin, which was probably the most well cooked chicken we have ever eaten. The service was amazing - our waiter was addressing us by our names, which really gives a personal touch to the experience.
The only drawback of this place is that it gets really loud. I don't know if that is because there was a big group or something. But this should not deter you from going here. We had flatbread starters. Very good. The entrees were all excellent. Everyone commented on the quality off the food the next day.

My parents are in their 60's and my father has a hard time hearing. But, the restaurant accommodated us by moving us to the smaller room near in a corner to avoid the loud large room and loud open kitchen area. The food was excellent, service was very good, and the prices were quite normal for a French resturant. Four of us, with appetizers and entrees, two bottles of wine rang up around $250.00. Well worth it for a special dinner such as this one. When I looked up the restaurant I was told that it had complimentary valet which I later found out wasn't true, you had to pay. My husband had the Crisped Duck Confit and Herbed Goat Cheese Ravioli (on Ratatouille- he ate all of it and declared we have a new place to eat when we come to Atlanta (he liked). On a busy Saturday night, we got personal, helpful service and fabulous food. From "French 75" cocktails through "Ile de Flotante", it was pure pleasure. We had yummy pork rillettes with drinks and my husband had Wellfleet oysters as well. Lamb chops that melted in your mouth, ribeye steak /frites, a mushroom-gruyere tarte to dream about made everyone at our table happy. To emphasize excellent service here, we were given plenty of friendly engaged attention and information that influenced our menu choices for the better, but our server was perfectly professional throughout the meal. Rarely do we ask about what's new and happening when we visit, but this week, we were told by Intercontinental's staff about Bistro Niko. We used Open Table app, booked a reservation, walked across the street, and had a lovely, multi- course French dinner in a lively, vibrant atmosphere. The food was flavorful perfection; the waitstaff was thoughtful and attentive. My husband and I were among the last to arrive and the very last to leave.
