The setting is very comfortable. Most importantly, the kitchen is amazing. It could favorably compete with any number of Boca Raton's fancier restaurants. The crab bisque is outstanding.   • "Planned a special valentine's night with dinner at 7:15 pm and some shopping in the Boca mall afterwards. . We were rudely handed a d buzzer and told to step aside and come back when the table was ready. We were finally sat at 7:36 pm. , we were told by the waitress as she approached the table for the first time - the kitchen is very backed up - do you know what you want to order? We placed our food and drink orders quickly at at the same time. 25 minutes later the drinks arrived. By 8:42 pm the 2 main entrees had not arrived ( the children's chicken tenders did arrive at 8:24 pm.) . - no shopping due to this deadful delayed experience. We asked to speak with the manager whom never came to the table to discuss."

  • "We had reservation for valentines day.We arrived on time.Were seateand got our soupabd drinks .So far so good.We place our order and thongs went downhill from there.Afternoon waiting 35minutes we asked our waitress what happened to our order. She said she would check.She came back to advise us that the chef was to busy to talk to her and she did not know when our food would be out.I asked to speak the manager. He advised that our food would be out in 2 minutes.30 minutes later with no food in sits we got up and left."

  • "I love the IDEA of this restaurant. It doesn't seem to have an identity. Located on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom's in Boca, you need to go by women's lingerie, dresses, bathing suits. To me that makes it a department store restaurant; however dishes and costs reflect that of fine dining. The food is very good, but I have a problem choosing a grouper special at dinner here for $35! Two people sharing a salad, two entrees and one dessert, plus coffee, some wine, tax, tip and you're WELL over $120. I don't mind paying that, but in a department store? The service is OK, but a good restaurant the server should take the leftovers and return them ready to go, rather than handing you a box. I like the place, I'm just now sure what it is!"

  • "We keep returning to Bistro N because we can enjoy a lovely meal with great service and IT IS quiet enough and refined enough so that we can have a conversation and linger with friends. We have dined at the "fanciest IN spots" and although the food might be superb, the noise level is jarring and the frenetic pace of the waitstaff is upsetting, spoiling the excellent food and giving me a headache."

  • "The food is fantastic and the service is always great! Bistro N is definitely a gem in Boca. We have eaten here many times and our preferred server (Ashley) is absolutely the best!! She remembers the people she has served before and in our case, she even knows what we like to drink and what we prefer to eat. The people here are very well trained and are knowledgeable about the food they serve. You will not be disappointed."

  • "Walked in and it was empty. Been there tons of times and normally its packed and a great vibe. Not tonight. They said they were out of bread. Then they said they were out of their signature crab stack. Ordered the scallops with no bacon and sure enough it was covered in bacon. It took way too long for the food to come out given the fact that there was no one else in the restaurant."

Living in Southern California, I thought the great menu and decent wine list was regional, until I traveled to Houston last month. Same great menu! My travels took me to Boca Raton Florida this past week and I now counted the menu being the same or similar. No disappointments there...excellent!"

  • "Not sure what the deal is. Restaurant was half full when we went there for lunch with our 3 kids. We ordered and the food took 35 minutes. All the waiter could say was the kitchen was backed up. At least four other tables were complaining about the same thing."

  • "First, the ONLY reason I gave this place 1 star is bc zero is not an option. We have been here on numerous occasions for lunch and enjoyed the food so thought we'd try it for dinner and it literally turned out to be the WORST meal I have ever had. There are 3 ways you could rate food: (1) great (2) good (3) bad ... well, this was terrible! What a disappointment. The waitress was great but I can assure you I will never be back."

  • "A friend wanted to meet for lunch at the mall so I suggested the restaurant in Nordstrom's. The staff was friendly and the manager came by our table to see if we were enjoying our lunch. This may also be because I sent my cream of broccoli soup back due to too much salt; I very rarely send anything back but it was inedible. The four cheese panini was delicious and they replaced my soup with an order of French fries which was also good. I would go there again to avoid the food court in the future."

  • "We received a card in the mail for the new opening of this restaurant and decided to try it. One of us had a steak and it was cooked exactly as requested and was very good. The other had the Tapas sampler plate and it was plentiful with a nice variety -- also very good. We will go back to try some other things that we noticed coming out of the kitchen."

  • "I have eaten at Bistro N many times..but this time quite a disaster!!!....On a Monday for lunch at 12 noon.....Out of Roast Beef...out of Bread Pudding....Cold coffee...My colleague and I were entertaining a business client...and we thought Bistro N would be ideal...a low key place for lunch ...We were BOTH so embarrassed..and the excuses for not having these items on the menu...were even worse than not having the item....When I complained to the manager he told me that the bread pudding took too long to cook!!!??Huh!!"

  • "I was so impressed at how much our server read our table, and seemed so knowledgable about the menu and specials. The food was so unique compared to most menus. Even though it was a smaller menu than most restaurants, all of my friends and I found something we enjoyed to the fullest. The filet bordelaise (at dinner) was such a beautiful presentation with potatoes Anna, and it was so delicious. I will definitely tell everyone I know to try Bistro N if they haven't before! My friends and I are hooked! Keep up the good work!"

  • "I was happy to see that they stopped the live music, the ambiance is sophisticated and lively without it. The hostess greeted us immediately and sat us in our favorite booth. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the new menu items that they were featuring and made them sound so good that we decided to try them. Superb!   • "Service was very slow. Food was cold had to send back, and came back so, so. No taste. Ordered dessert when Coffee came. Drank two cups of coffee and still no dessert. Worst experience! I have been a customer of Nordstrom for a very long time, Very disappointed, and the manager did little to improve the situation."
