I have been there in winter and spring and would definitely go back again. We ate outside this time and the outside area has plenty of room. We had a lovely meal, al fresco, that included Carpaccio as a shared appetizer - plenty for two - sliced very thin, garnished beautifully, and so well presented. For main courses, a special that evening was Risotto with scallops - very tender and delicious. Also a house specialty, Saltimbocca di vitello, was outstanding! Speaking of outstanding, if you visit, ask for waiter Ben-Hur. As good as the food was, Ben made the evening into an event! The service overall is stallar, but Ben is a superstar waiter! Dinner started with hellos, and ended with hugs. If you are looking for a New York experience and great service, go here now. Ask for Ben, he's amazing!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Italian and excellent serviceFound this restaurant by accident when we visited the city in October 2012, and the food and service was so good then, that we had to go back there on our most recent trip to NYC. Once again, Bistro Milano provided exceptional dishes (love the tuna and halibut) and service. We even made a second visit during this trip to try the pizza. The food was so good, we decided to return for dinner the following evening. The pumpkin ravioli was delicious and cooked perfectly. Shrimp Scampi was not on the menu but they made it for me and it may be the best I've ever had anywhere.
