Bistro Mezzaluna has been a long time favorite of Fort Lauderdale's discerning local diners and snowbirds alike. Now we are proud to unvail our new magnificant freestanding location at 1821 SE 10th Ave. (just a few short blocks away). Under the watchful eyes of executive chef Anish Rana, we maintain our reputation for well-crafted bistro fare. Add to that an award winning wine list and exceptional service and you will soon see why Bistro Mezzaluna has become synonymous with great dining.

The eclectic menu boasts such delights as ; U.S.D.A. prime steaks, homemade pastas and the freshest seasonal seafood including colossal stone crab claws. Each and every dessert is made on the premise. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the seasoned service staff will make you know that you belong.

  • "I have been visiting the Café from its old location to the new! Very nice upscale Italian restaurant. Everyone was helpful and pleasant! The lounge is very warm and inviting with piano man and small trumpeter playing pop, jazz and Sinatra! The food was very good! I had jumbo stone crab appetizer with colossal shrimp cocktail with the seared scallops with risotto as my main dish and was delicious! What a wine list! Enjoy!"

  • "Sat outside for the first time and will never go back inside. Gabrielle was a wonderfully attentive waiter who also requested a large table with children who were well behaved (a rarity) but running around, to please keep to their seats. It was much appreciated as cheren do NOT belong in a restaurant at 9:00 on a Saturday evening. Major pet peeve!!! Dinner was lovely then sat in the bar area to enjoy the 2 pianists. Perfect evening."

  • "Our party of 6 had 2 apps come out first. WIted 10 minutes for app 3 then 5 more minutes for 5&6. By that time most apps were cold. Main course for 2 of us came 9 minutes prior to the other 4. We all insisted they eat, but it was not fun. Food was a 9/10, but service was poor."

  • "I have been here before and never had a bad meal. However, on this occasion, they sat us right next to a huge birthday party celebration and it was awful. I should have known to request a different table when we sat down but they assured us it was an older crowd and not noisy. With two tables of 10 screaming to each other, we could not hear ourselves talk and it was most unenjoyable. They offered to move us 3/4 way through our meal which was too late. But they did buy us drinks in the bar after which tried to make up for it but did not. Moral is, when you see a table set up for a party, ask to be moved from it before they get there!!!"

  • "From the moment you walk into the lobby and see the lobby bar to your left, it's classy. Look up at the ceiling and chandelier - unique and extraordinary. You immediately feel you're in a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel, bar and restaurant. Table side mozzarella experience? Huh, that's a first. The special, a delicious gourmet presentation of monk fish - outstanding. Our waiter, Arthur was very personable and provided great details about the food. Overall, a great experience, just a few miles from our home. We'll be back!"

  • "Terrific Valentines Day dinner. The restaurant was packed, but never did we feel that they we were being rushed. We went to the bar for a drink which was PACKED, and they graciously held our table. Our server once seated recited the specials, and my husband being a beef eater ordered the prime rib, which he loved. I have the mixed seafood pasta, over linguini, after a great salad. My husband had the lobster bisque. O had to stop him from licking out the dish. A great bottle of wine, and a flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream with delicious fresh coffee made our evening complete. A ;long stem red rose was handed to me on the ways out from dinner. This is one of our favorite places to celebrate special occasions."

  • "Had Valentine's day dinner here. Very busy but they did honor our reservation time. Our waiter Waz wasn't that good. It took forever to get drinks. Service was really slow. He kept telling us kitchen was backed up due to the holiday. Once food was delivered, he never came back to check on us or offer us anything else. The food was good. We dined with another couple. 2 of us ordered the pime rib, a veal scallopine dish and filet mignon. We ordered their special dessert, chocolate flan. It was ok, a little lumpy though for a flan. We've been there several times, so we'll be back regardless of our waiter."

The front of the house from the hostess, manager and the servers everyone is absolutely excellent. Our servers Serge and Illia were absolutely fabulous. The drinks and food were equally great. Our table ordered seafood pasta, salmon, pasta, lobster bisque and each dish was just excellent."

  • "My friends and I decided on Bistro Mezzaluna for New Years Eve because we saw they had a couple of festivities going on that night. Beside there being a large crowd of people that night (as expected on new years) the service and food quality was the best as ever. I am a frequent diner at Bistro and it is refreshing to walk in and feel welcome and at ease. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with balloons and signs to emphasize the already exciting atmosphere. Bistro had never disappointed on their food and I would highly recommend it to others!"

Sea bass was delicious. Scampi and Salmon were fabulous. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Even the rolls and salads were scrumptious. The waiter could not have been more attentive. Definitively a great choice."

For us, it was a rare date night, away from the kids, and we we're looking for a romantic get away for some alone time. The food was outstanding everything was cooked perfectly. My wife had the rack of lamb, which was the first time she actually enjoyed someone else's rack of lamb. I had the skirt steak which was "melt in your mouth tenderness". My only complaint was the entertainment. The piano/singer was amazing, with an amazing voice, but couldn't get over dedicating and talking about his wife/girlfriend. After about 1/2 hour, both me and the wife were like. "ok we get it, you're in love". The price was also a little steep."

  • "Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a local while on vacation. The entrance and restaurant are very nice. The waiting staff is quite an unusual setup as we must have had 6-7 people wait on us and they did not communicate to know where we were in the ordering process. For having such a large wait staff sharing one table they also provided very slow service. Waited almost 15 minutes for a drink order alone. Many other food options in the area, wouldn't put this one on the list at all."

  • "We recently dined at Bistro Mezzaluna mainly because it was close to our hotel. Even though it is advertised as an Italian restaurant I would say it is more of a New York steak house genre with some Italian dishes. That is good in my opinion and we found the seafood menu to be very interesting. My wife had a seafood combination which she enjoyed and I had Yellow-tail Snapper which was very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided good service throughout our meal. We would certainly dine at Bistro Mezzaluna again if the occasion presented itself."

  • "Used open table to make reservations and included a special request for a good table location as it was our 38th. anniversary. We were sat on the patio and adjacent to the lovely fountain. The weather was perfect as was our server, Gabriel. Mary Lou had the Pompano special and I had the rack of lamb. We were both pleased. We also enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller as an app. We ate at a leisurely pace and never felt hurried. Our server was attentive when needed but not a nuisance as some can be. I look forward to me next visit!"
