Bistro Mezzaluna has been a long time favorite of Fort Lauderdale's discerning local diners and snowbirds alike. Now we are proud to unvail our new magnificant freestanding location at 1821 SE 10th Ave. (just a few short blocks away). Under the watchful eyes of executive chef Anish Rana, we maintain our reputation for well-crafted bistro fare. Add to that an award winning wine list and exceptional service and you will soon see why Bistro Mezzaluna has become synonymous with great dining.

The eclectic menu boasts such delights as ; U.S.D.A. prime steaks, homemade pastas and the freshest seasonal seafood including colossal stone crab claws. Each and every dessert is made on the premise. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the seasoned service staff will make you know that you belong.

  • "This was our first time dining at Bistro Mezzaluna and it won't be our last. The restaurant's ambience was sophisticated, yet inviting and comfortable. The service was excellent, the menu diverse and the food well-prepared (best fillet mignon I've had in quite awhile!) Although we didn't spend time in the lounge area during this visit, we hope to return to enjoy drinks while listening to the piano tunes being played next time. We had a lovely dining experience."

  • "I needed a restaurant for a dinner meeting and found this place online and picked it based on the reviews. It turned out to be perfect. Service friendly and efficient. The food was very good and as it would happen, the 3 of us ordered different entrees, fish, veal, and a steak. They had their own twist to Veal Scallopini, the steak was exceptional and the fish was generous and well prepared. Sides not overcooked. The restaurant seems to be more of a favorite to an older crowd, many who have been going for years, but this is South Florida."

They were very personable. The food was very good Italian but definitely over priced. We probably won't be back simply for that reason."

The atmosphere is great, but the lighting could go up just a notch........in the defense of the restaurants lighting, the menus are back-lighted, so they are easy to see, but you want to see your food also! :) Parking is great, you don't need to valet, although the service is available. I have recommended the restaurant to several of my friends, who, have then, visited and enjoyed it."

  • "Went to Bistro Mezzaluna to celebrate a birthday. Stopped into lounge for Happy Hour first and very glad we did. Half price drinks and appetizers. Varied selection for a happy hour menu. Enjoyed the marinated seafood salad. Large portion and very fresh. Not too oily and seasoned perfectly. Meal (snapper) was OK, no complaints but did not special for the reputation I had heard about the restaurant. Service in the restaurant was excellent. Waiter very attentive and offered taste of wine before ordering. Will go back for happy hour."

  • "Asked for a quiet table--obviously there isn't one despite early and empty. This restaurant caters to groups and conventioneers who have expense accounts. With that said, the service is good, the food very good, the wine list ample, and the restaurant is very pretty. The old Mezzaluna was smaller and warmer and more in touch with the Fort Lauderdale townie market. This is off peak season and the entre prices are way on the high side- Almost $70 market price for a veal chop? $45 for Meomi red wine? We'll stick to Midddle River area and north of E Sunrise for our Italian!"

  • "This is a great place if you are looking for a great meal. You get what you pay for and that is why if you don't mind paying more it is worth it. My friend had shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were #8s (8 per pound...Huge) and they were delicious. I had a seafood salad that was very fresh and delicious. We both had steak that were high quality and they are very generous with substituting the sides, since we were avoiding carbs...The only drawback is that there is very low lighting. The menus are back lit, which was cool. They also have a beautiful outside area. Will go back for sure!"

My husband and daughter had no idea where they were going for dinner but after our experience, they couldn't say enough about the great service and over-the-top dishes. All of the items we ordered were of shareable size so plan on the large portions that will arrive at your table. This was an excellent dining experience from beginning to end...staff, ambiance, presentation, taste and selection were all outstanding."

  • "The title says it all. We had the veal scallopini and and the pan seared jumbo sea scallops and they did not disappoint. The scallopini was tender and flavorful. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The wait staff was attentive, but not overbearing making it a very pleasant evening. The only problem we had was that we didn't save room for dessert."

  • "You did not give choice for "great for dinner". Would rate excellent for dinner, have not had chance for lunch. But will. We are kosher so can take advantage of your meat or chicken selections but fish and pasta is great. And you serve a nice size Crown Royal, otherwise I would have heard my husband's complaints. Can't wait till it is cooler to be served in your romantic patio area. We aren't late nighters but think it would be a hot spot at night. Judy and Larry Wiener"

  • "The food is exquisite i had goat cheese ravioli and my wife has salmon over argula salad. The scene is beAutiful with pictures and decor. You have to try the flour less chocolate cake the best moist, melts in mouth with distinct flavor of chocolate is beyond . This place is highly reccomended. Also the service is amazing so attentive makes you feel at home."

  • "As usual, our dining experience was exceptional from the easy parking (a rarity in south Florida hot spots), to the friendly greeting from Frank and the hostess who seated us promptly although we arrived somewhat earlier than our reservation on a Saturday night. Serge our server was flawless, the food outstanding as usual. The veal chop is simply the best a fine diner will find in south Florida. We've never had anything less than a five star dining experience at Bistro Mezzaluna, at both the old and new locations. Many thanks"

  • "With a coupon, we tried this "bistro" only it didn't have the feel of a bistro at all. It was a fancy restaurant. Our meal was fine. I had an interesting butternut squash ravioli with lobster and the lobster was good and the butternut squash was good but I'm not really sure they went together. Anyway the food was good and I don't have anything to complain about but likewise wouldn't need to return."

  • "Second time dining here and I must say that the portions got smaller and the prices got higher. Make sure you ask the price of specials because when you get the bill it will knock your socks off! Tuna special which did not come as described was 40 and it was not worth it!"

  • "My wife, mother of our daughter picked the restaurant. I was impressed as soon as I walked in . The staff was professional, great service and the food was to die for. I expected to take home a doggie bag due to the fact it was a 5 course meal. But to my surprise we ate it all. Food was well prepared well and the portions were just enough. My husband usually has a steak but he resisted and took Phil's suggestion and went with the lamb. We love this place, and whenever possible we request Phil. Great meal, will be back shortly."

  • "I have dined here at least 20 times over the past eight years, and it is always a great experience. It simply provides a great the dining experience, food, service and drink are excellent. I do miss the older smaller site because you knew that you were getting in on a restaurant experience that had a sense of hidden "exclusivity". However, congratulations to those who own and work there that they have grown the business such that it needed a much more spacious and comfortable spot, just up the street. It still is a well attended, but somewhat "secret" destination in the Fort Lauderdale dining scene. (The Yellow Snapper dish is a must!)"
