We were at Bistro Friday and Saturday this week. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted right away... The front of the house from the hostess, manager and the servers everyone is absolutely excellent. Our servers Serge and Illia were absolutely fabulous. The drinks and food were equally great. Our table ordered seafood pasta, salmon, pasta, lobster bisque and each dish was just excellent.

My friends and I decided on Bistro Mezzaluna for New Years Eve because we saw they had a couple of festivities going on that night. Beside there being a large crowd of people that night (as expected on new years) the service and food quality was the best as ever. I am a frequent diner at Bistro and it is refreshing to walk in and feel welcome and at ease. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with balloons and signs to emphasize the already exciting atmosphere. Bistro had never disappointed on their food and I would highly recommend it to others!

So this was a last minute decision with few options on New Years Eve. We went with a party of 5 and everyone was pleasantly surprised. We could not have found a better dinner. Sea bass was delicious. Scampi and Salmon were fabulous. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Even the rolls and salads were scrumptious. The waiter could not have been more attentive. Definitively a great choice.

I found Bistro Mezzaluna to be an outstanding restaurant, giving myself n my wife just what we were looking for. For us, it was a rare date night, away from the kids, and we we're looking for a romantic get away for some alone time. The food was outstanding everything was cooked perfectly. My wife had the rack of lamb, which was the first time she actually enjoyed someone else's rack of lamb. I had the skirt steak which was "melt in your mouth tenderness". My only complaint was the entertainment. The piano/singer was amazing, with an amazing voice, but couldn't get over dedicating and talking about his wife/girlfriend. After about 1/2 hour, both me and the wife were like. "ok we get it, you're in love". The price was also a little steep.

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a local while on vacation. The entrance and restaurant are very nice. The waiting staff is quite an unusual setup as we must have had 6-7 people wait on us and they did not communicate to know where we were in the ordering process. For having such a large wait staff sharing one table they also provided very slow service. Waited almost 15 minutes for a drink order alone. Many other food options in the area, wouldn't put this one on the list at all.

Used open table to make reservations and included a special request for a good table location as it was our 38th. anniversary. We were sat on the patio and adjacent to the lovely fountain. The weather was perfect as was our server, Gabriel. Mary Lou had the Pompano special and I had the rack of lamb. We were both pleased. We also enjoyed the oysters Rockefeller as an app. We ate at a leisurely pace and never felt hurried. Our server was attentive when needed but not a nuisance as some can be. I look forward to me next visit!

We recently dined at Bistro Mezzaluna mainly because it was close to our hotel. Even though it is advertised as an Italian restaurant I would say it is more of a New York steak house genre with some Italian dishes. That is good in my opinion and we found the seafood menu to be very interesting. My wife had a seafood combination which she enjoyed and I had Yellow-tail Snapper which was very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided good service throughout our meal. We would certainly dine at Bistro Mezzaluna again if the occasion presented itself.

I headed over to Bistro Mezzaluna for a business lunch meeting, the ambiance for such was perfect. They accommodated our large group in their outside patio which was quiet and secluded. Our server was Hector and he was very polite, conscientious, and knowledgeable. The food was also very good and they had a wide variety of options to choose from. Best of all, we were able to get in and out in a timely matter. Recommend this location for businesses and taking clients.

I have not been to Bistro Mezzaluna in over a year and am glad I came back. The wine list is packed with interesting wines you don't see everyday and I had an excellent red blend and my wife drank Prosecco which was fresh and vibrant. She had the sea bass and I had the lamb which was perfectly prepared to our liking. Our waiter, Was gave us plenty of time to enjoy our wine and did not rush our dinning experience which made it even more enjoyable. The important fact about Bistro Mezzaluna is that the food and service is just as good as when it was a much smaller restaurant in a different location. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to have a very good restaurant experience.

My husband and I frequently dine at Bistro Mezzaluna for dinner. We have always had such great service and enjoyed ourselves very much. We recently decided to try out Mezzaluna for lunch and were pleasantly pleased. The lunch ambiance is a lot more relaxed and quiet. Everything on the menu looked very good, but the specials they offer sounded even better. I had the special for the day and my husband requested a dinner dish, which they so kindly accomodated us. The service was just as good as it is at night and we highly Bistro for lunch as well as dinner! Cheers!

a favorite and anytime go-to restaurant as long as it has been open consistent, best service this time, the bar lounge had the best music -- variety, fun, and not so noisy -- you could actually talk to friends and hear them I believe the singer was Giovanni. We had a large party who had just met and we failed to let our waiter know in advance that separate checks were required. After the check came, there was no way that the restaurant would calculate separate checks. We spent almost an hour after our meal trying to work out the amounts for six separate couples. We could not get the separate amounts to total the entire check and then found several items on our check that had not been ordered or delivered to our table. We assume that was the reason for their refusal to provide separate checks after the meal. Also, beware of the up selling and if you order a glass of wine, when the waiter say he'll bring you a nice Cabernet (or any other variety) be sure to ask the price... Or be surprised!

We were seated far from others, I assuming due to the guide dog. We ordered drinks asking about the happy hour prices. We were told only at the bar. I told the waiter that no where on the web site does it reference the bar and asked to speak to the manager. The waiter, Gabriel, told us the manager would not see us. We asked again and he disappeared, upon his return we asked for management but were thwarted once more. He gave some long winded speech that he was a manager somewhere else that he had complained to management before but nothing happened. We decided not to remain, paid for our drinks and left. I find it disquieting that no management was called and where we were seated. This we will definitely not return.

I went to the Bistro Mezzaluna for lunch after being referred there by a good friend of mine that lived in the area. The place is absolutely beautiful! They have two very nice dining rooms with a lounge area that has a piano for live music at nights. We ended up sitting outside on their terrace, which is absolutely gorgeous. The service was exceptional, our server was very attentive, polite, and made the entire experience that much more delightful. However, the best quality of the restaurant is their food! We had one of their featured specials for the day and it was to die for. It is safe to say we will definitely be back.

I have been hearing great things about Bistro Mezzaluna for some time now, but had yet to try it out until this past weekend. Let me tell you, this place is GREAT! We sat in the lounge and enjoyed their oysters rockafellar (which I've never had better!) and the shrimp spring rolls. My clients, being the wine enthusiasts that they are, were very impressed with their extensive wine menu and wine cellar. Dinner was fantastic with the one of the best yellowtail snapper dishes that I have tasted and the steaks looked delicious as well. All in all, we will definitely be going back to this place--forget waiting for hours at the Las Olas restaurants!

Looking for a romantic birthday dinner for my wife and found this one on OpenTable. I totally didn't realize this was the same restaurant I passed almost daily working so close by. Waiter was doing his job, but not attentive. Food was very good, but not dazzling, nothing stood out. Prime Rib seemed to be a secondary cut. Sea bass was tough, dry, not flaky. Dessert (chocolate souffle) was well done. Would probably try it again, but with a few more people. There was a table nearby that was having a blast. That seems to be the way to go.

Our third visit to celebrate two wives birthdays. The best part about this dimly lit restaurant is the menu lights up when opened. Food is OK, nothing special. Since they moved to larger quarters, the place was empty on a Saturday night. Great lounge for piano music or after dinner drink. Monitors on the opposite side of this lounge for football. Somehow, I don't think football and piano music go together in the same room. No special dessert to celebrate the birthdays, just a candle in the dessert we ordered. A little cheap 25 cent upcharge for my friend's Ketel One vodka ! My absolute vodka, had no upcharge ! Not returning. Food OK but pricey.

A delightfully remodeled and re-located 17th street Causeway favorite. Lighted menus illuminate one's choices. Wonderfully expansive wine list, very good, sizable portions of traditional (NYC) Italian fare with a Latin flavor--. Skirt steak w piles of string fries perfectly cooked; superb scallops and an excellent risotto. A nice portion of breads yet no olive oil , no roasted garlic and no bruschetta-one gets at nearby restaurants. But a very large and tasty grilled squid appetizer sufficed for the the two of us. All served with aplomb to your comfortable booth. An excellent date night choice.

We keep returning tor this entree for either lunch or dinner. Delicious! The waiter was forgetful - We asked for more "everything" crackers which he never brought to us. My husband was drinking a gin & tonic and asked for more tonic, but the waiter brought club soda - good thing my husband checked it out before pouring it in his drink and ruining it. When we asked for the check the waiter took a very long time then came over to clear our table and still no bill....then finally he brought it to us so we could leave. We were there on a Sunday night and not many people there so the waiter did not have too many tables to serve so that is not an excuse. Anyway we will be back and hopefully get a different waiter.

While there was nothing particularly wrong with this restaurant, it just didn't appeal to me. The food was just good, nothing that stood out. I had the sea bass which was well prepared but my friend had the veal scaloppine, which looked very sloppy on the plate. The decor was outdated and needed a facelift. To me it seemed like this place had seen its heyday pass.

This was our first less than wonderful experience at Bistro M! The food was good but the kitchen was delayed 15 minutes serving the birthday participants dessert so our group left without the celebration portion of the meal. Wait staff was our usual pro and he was aware of our timeline so unsure about the source of the problem. As our group exited, they were handed to go desserts but that did not replace the group singing and sharing dessert. We will return as we typically love everything about Bistro M. The pasta is excellent, lunch specials are always good and dinner is equally wonderful. Hopefully this was a blip that wants be repeated.
