  • "Excellent food and service, great ambience. No Parisienne bistro is any better!"

  • "We sat outside which was especially nice as all of the roses were in bloom and it was especially quiet. The food we ordered was delicious. My only objection is that I thought the prices were too high; it will effect my decision to eat there more often. The service was competent but more officious rather than gracious."

  • "excellent food--good sized portions. in a relatively quite environment--unlike most other up-scale Yountville restaurants which are often filled with noisy over tasted customers! I have never had a bad eating experience at jeanty's"

  • "Thanks for the great table and service for my 75th B'day dinner. The complimentary salmon appitizer was delicious and appreciated."

  • "This was the ultimate dining experience. Charming place, professional and personable staff, and marvelous food. I loved the beef stew, and even the peas and carrots were remarkable, really! My wife had the mussels, and they were big, juicy, and delicious. I only wished we still had had room for dessert. Maybe next time. "

  • "Excellent as always. Layered Salmon appetizer esp. great."

  • "There was four of us in our party. We tried several dishes. Non of them was remarkable. Stake Tartare was bland and was already mixed together , Os a Moelle (roasted bone marrow) was tasty, Epaule de Pork (slow roasted pork shoulder) tasted like boiled pork, but the pieces of lardons in the dish (smoked bacon) was very tasty, brussel sprout side dish was just boiled , lamb was gamey and tough. Atmosphere was pleasant. Service was friendly. I would not recommend this restaurant."

  • "A very authentic bistro with excellent food. First course came out too fast, before I finished my aperitif, as waiter was not really paying attention. But rest was well done. I very much appreciate that they did NOT have brunch, as I really prefer the full, normal, lunch menu undiluted by apple-strawberry pancakes, or other such fare."

  • "The food was excellant, from the appetizers to the desserts! Will definitely return."

  • "Excellent country French food, noise level very loud. Surprised at the high coarkage wine fee."

  • "Ambiance and food are very good, and some items on the menu are just great, like the creme caramel. But our server lacked focus, experience, and seemed spaced out. E.g. she did not know, and did not bother to find out, bother to find out the answer to our questions, such as: was the Strachey tartare chopped by knife or ground? Or, to a technical question about shaping of an appetizer. Before we were finished, even before the the main course, she attempted to remove the bread and butter more than once, did not replenish bread, and on top of that mindlessly would come and repeatedly pick up the butter tub and put it inside the bread basket, as if to teach us where the right place for the bread basket was! How silly?"

  • "After spending the day wine tasting this was a wonderful end. The service is outstanding. Very attentive. The food is delicious and it has a wonderful charm about it."

  • "Whenever I'm in Napa I eat here at least once, I always leave wanting to return. It's such a nice sunny feeling, romantic place with friendly servers. This trip I was with a girlfriend who's never been and we had a wonderful lunch. We tried the crispy pigs feet with a glass of Champagne , it was so good, if we hadn't ordered an entre we would've just ordered another each !"

  • "Have been going for years but this recent experience was very disappointing. Service was just awful. Very long waits between courses. No communication from server on status. With all the great choices in Yountville probably will not return anytime soon."

  • "We ordered the cassoulet and the pork shoulder. Both were delicious. My significant other is from France and put his stamp of approval on the cassoulet - everything in the dish was just so tasty. My pork shoulder was to die for - the meat was tender and flavorful. When in Yountville we're always going to Bouchon Bistro or Lucy, why did we ever wait so long to come here for dinner. I was at Bistro Jeanty years ago and have been wanting to take him to see how it compared to France. We return again soon."

  • "You can always get a great cassoulet regardless of the season, lots a great wines by the glass and great service. Just prepare to wait a bit especially when it rains....."

  • "We made a last minute reservation for a party of 8. We were recommended by a Local Wine Tasting Manager. Food was amazing and we savoured every morsel! It has indoor and outdoor dining. Very much a destination place in Yountville. We make an annual trip of "Girls" to Napa f and we will definetly be back again to this Restaurant."

  • "Hostess ignored us, waiter spilled our Champagne, told us tomato sauce is served in small cup....trust me it's a bowl. Meunière sauce on sole was just a pool of butter.."

  • "What a darling little place, I felt like I had been to France w/o leaving CA!"
    Dined on 4/2/2014
  • "Good old fashioned dining serving some classic food & drinks. an enjoyable meal barring a less than pleasant welcome experience by the hostess and the (Tall) gentlemen with her. If you are too busy to answer the phone or to apologize for it not working you really shouldn't be the first point of contact."

  • "We went for a lovely dinner for a romantic evening as we did last year at this time. But this year, there were a few really loud tables in the back room with us that ruined the evening. A black hair on my plate beside the filet of sole had to be taken back, but the server apologized profusely and had another meal prepared for me. It was too noisy for us to stay and enjoy the dessert options. This is a great place for an energetic crowd, which they seem to cater to. It's not a spot for a quiet romantic dinner."

  • "Located downtown Yountville (AKA: Restaurant Row) in a charming building that looks as if it were located in France. Looking for a true French experience . . . you've found it. The Creme De Tomate en Croute $12 (tomato soup in a puff pastry) is simply amazing. Tomato soup is something I would never order in a restaurant, as tomato soup is tomato soup . . . right? . . . I mean how good can tomato soup be? You'll be a changed person when you order this version, as it's Crazy Good - NOTE: don't share or go mmmm, as you won't get it back. The Parfait De Foie Blond $13.50 (duck liver mousse with brioche) is over the top. The Cassoulet ($25.50) to the Coq Au Vin ($18.50) is VERY memorable. CAUTION: It can get VERY LOUD in the back 2nd dining room"

  • "IF you seek a certain type of French food experience this is your spot. I found the menu offering limited to the Uber rich cheese/fat/butter strain of French cooking. You mileage may vary."

  • "Bistro Jeanty is a true gem. My family and I have been going to Yountville for many years now and we always make it a point to dine here when we're in Yountville. The ambiance is great and the food is delicious. The staff is wonderful which makes dining at Bistro Jeanty that much more pleasant."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by some friends who are regular visitors to Napa. My wife, her brother and his wife, and I had dinner there in late March of 2014, and we loved it. The food and wine were excellent, and the service was attentive without being intrusive, friendly but also professional. A Napa gem."

  • "Absolutely a must try if you are in the mood for a wonderful and enjoyable dining experience. Try the soup! Both the Onion and Tomato were truly a treat from start to finish. Service was swift and unobtrusive but highly attentive. Will be making a repeat visit for more of the Chocolate Creme Brule!"

  • "I asked for a nice table for my 65th birthday and Bistro Jeanty came through with typical French hospitality and flare. An intimate table for two by the fireplace, an attentive and warmhearted waiter named Arturo, and fantastic food. Thank you for a memorable evening."

  • "Jeanty is a Napa Valley gem, keep up the great work!"

  • "We enjoy our dinner here immensely. Service was great, our drinks came quickly and were very good (had the Absinthe). We had the Onion soup and bone marrow for starters and enjoyed both. It's a special treat to get bone marrow and this one was done well. Dinner was the beef stew and pork shoulder - Awesome, hearty and delicious. It was quite noisy and busy inside, but we were seated outside where it was more tolerable. We will go back."

  • "A relaxed feeling and an energetic vibe are felt when you enter the restaurant. They offer an extensive menu and very attentive service. I had a simple appetizer salad and my husband the French onion soup, both of which we enjoyed. Since my husband ordered the roasted pork shoulder and I the chicken special, the waiter was very helpful in selecting a great bottle of Pinot Noir. We both made a gallant attempt to finish these well prepared dishes. We topped it off with the apple crisp. Would highly recommend this gem."

  • "I love the excellent food and relaxed feel of this place - your neighborhood French Bistro. We take many guests to enjoy quintessential Napa Valley - great food and wine. Most known for their tomato soup, coq au vin and steak frites, we enjoy the pates, bone marrow, beet or butter lettuce salads, steak tartare, cassoulet on a cold day, daub de boeuf, pork shoulder and the beef bourguinon. Our children enjoy the fried smelt, butter noodles and now the sole meuniere. I can never pass up the Crepe Suzette for dessert though you can't go wrong. Service was well-timed and friendly and there is an excellent wine list including many Napa favorites."
