  • "Great French inspired bistro that doesn't overdo the French part. Waiter was friendly and very helpful and food was perfect bistro type fare. You can eat farm fresh clean here or have more traditional French selections. Walkable from all Yountville hotels."

  • "Bistro Jeanty is one our favorite places to eat at in Napa. The food is absolutely fantastic and service is outstanding. We were seated immediately upon arrival at our reservation time and out waiter went over specials and recommended pairings of wine with each special. Their featured Cabernet was Heitz Cellar and was reasonably priced relative to the market. Their bone in veal chop was one of the best prepared steaks I have ever had. The only minor issue with this place is that the building is relatively small, so inside feels very cramped."

  • "Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The veal chop was possibly the best I have ever eaten. The heirloom tomato salad was simple and perfect. Service was friendly and knowledgeable"

  • "Not a place for kids! A fantastic adult restaurant with impeccable food and a terrific wine list."

  • "A bit noisy for our taste, but the food was great, as was our waiter. Rather than pay for the over-priced California wines, we opted for the house French by the carafe - quite drinkable at $25! They also all BYO at a reasonable corkage."

  • "We are renting in Yountville for a month and have already been to Bistro Jeanty five times. It is a destination restaurant that never disappoints. Wines can be expensive so be careful when ordering."

  • "We have now eaten at Bistro Jeanty 3 times over the last 8 years and it has been a great experience each time. The service is excellent and the food is to die for. I will say that the portion sizes have gotten larger if memory serves me well. We went home with several containers of leftovers , which, is not so wonderful if one is staying in a hotel and were so full that we couldn't even think about sampling any of the desserts."

  • "A TRUE French Bistro, located in a charming building that looks as if it were located in France. The Creme De Tomate en Croute $12 (tomato soup in a puff pastry) is simply amazing. Tomato soup is something I would never order in a restaurant, as tomato soup is tomato soup . . . right? . . . I mean how good can tomato soup be? = Crazy Good - NOTE: don't share or go mmmm, as you won't get it back (wink) The Parfait De Foie Blond $14 (duck liver mousse with brioche) is over the top and the Veal Chop ($45) is stellar. * Corkage is high, as we were charged $25 for the 1st bottle and $35 for the 2nd. CAUTION: Ask to sit outside (covered and also partially enclosed) as it can get VERY LOUD inside, especially in the back 2nd dining room !"

  • "My wife and I went to Bistro Jeanty on the recommendation of some locals on our first trip to Napa. It was fantastic! My wife had the quiche and I had Lamb. The food was great! The service even better as the waiter could recommend the right wine for the dish we each had. It was perfect."

  • "This neighborhood gem is one of the best finds for dinner. Our table of six each ordered a different entree and all of the selections were outstanding with great flavor and presentation. We brought a couple of bottles of wine we purchased while wine tasting in the area to enjoy with our meal. We truly enjoy this restaurant each year!"

  • "This was a first-rate experience. The food and service were both excellent. Specifically, the sole meunière was wonderful and the steak au poivre sauce was the best I've had in many years."

  • "The overall experience was excellent. The food was excellent. Many menu options. Service was superb. Rack of Lamb and delmonico steak were outstanding. We did bring two of our own bottles of wine and as Napa Neighbor residents are used to having wine corkage waived. They charged $25 for the first bottle and $35 for the second bottle. This is the highest corkage we have ever experienced. In the future we will not bring wine. In a way, they are discouraging bringing your own wine."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on July 11th. I had called earlier in the week and talked with Matt about a requirement for a quiet table for two. He suggested that we sit outside. We arrived at the restaurant, Matt was at the front desk and said "take a look throughout the restaurant and pick the table you would like." I have never had that happen at any restaurant. We picked a table inside by the fireplace. We had the beet salad and onion soup for appetizers and filet of sole and rack of lamb for the main course. Every item was outstanding. The service was impeccable. A perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. Many thanks to Matt and all the others at Bistro Jeanty. We can not wait to return for another fine meal."

  • "I had my first absinthe here... and yesterday I had my first Hemingway Daiquiri [TG for spell-check]. Perfect drink for a beautiful summer day. I ALWAYS have the bone marrow for an app. Can't get this at most places. Beef Bourgenoine [no spell-check for this one!] was a bit dry which shocked me. Usually it's perfect. They'll comp the $25 corkage if you buy a bottle. Superb service by Beth."

  • "We have driven by this charming restaurant hundreds of times and had no idea what we were missing. The ambiance, service and food were amazing. We were impressed with the serving sizes, not to mention the abundant flavors and presentation. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quaint and romantic place to eat in the Napa Valley."

  • "Spent 3 nights in Yountville and booked this reservation a couple months in advance as we knew this was a must. We were not disappointed! Food was outstanding. Started with the butter leaf salad and heirloom tomato salads. I had the short rib with roasted carrots and bulb onions and my fiancé had the sole. Both were excellent! We came back for lunch the next day and had the butter leaf salad again, along with the steak tartare and frittes. The texture and quality on the steak tartare was great, but the mustard dressing was slightly overwhelming. Still very good, however. Definitely a must if in Yountville!"

  • "Wonderful food, ambiance and evening from beginning to end! We felt like we were in a French bistro and loved each aspect of our dining experience from cocktails to dessert. Very friendly staff. Definitely sit on the patio if you enjoy outdoor dining (requested when we made our reservation). Every item we indulged in we would recommend. Our experience at Bistro Jeanty ranks up there with our top restaurant experiences. Such a great and memorable evening:)"

  • "Food was wonderful and very French, as expected. Service was disappointingly rushed and uninspiring. Verged on condescending."

  • "Bistro Jeanty does not disappoint! On my third visit to this wonderful, bustling place we were greeted and seated promptly, our waitstaff was well-informed, engaging and helpful and the kitchen offerings were as always a delight. To start, the chefs transformed the lowly and simple trotter into a whimsical crispy treat. Our duck confit and goat cheese terrine was a perfect example of something where "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts." A splendid veal chop, served at the perfect temperature and topped with a generous garnish of sauteed morels and accompanied by a sauce boat of an ambrosia-like combination of cheese and cream was over the top - a perfect example of simple food made sublime."

  • "With so many great restaurants in Yountville, it's easy to overlook Bistro Jeanty - even though it is always busy - it's a terrific french bistro with a large menu of classic french dishes like coq au vin with buttered noodles and cassoulet...plus fried smelt, french onion soup and numerous pates, and their iconic tomato soup served under a puff pastry dome. Terrific service as well - a great place to eat any time of day!"
