Made a reservation, and got there with no trouble even though you need to take the gondola up (beautiful, quiet ride). Wait staff was efficient and friendly. There was a very relaxed and personal air to the place. The food was excellent and elegant - Beautifully presented. We had trout, onion soup & salad - then a toffee Carmel tart for dessert. Sydney helped us feel welcome as if we were having a fine dinner in the home of a gracious friend. Other than the fact that we had on our ski pants and our snowshoes were stacked against the wall, it felt like a very elegant evening out. I highly recommend this restaurant and staff.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGood spot for post skiing mealSet atop Vail, this place is a great spot to unwind after a day of family fun on the slopes. We were there on a Thursday night and they have a great special - Two 3-course meals for $50 and kids got there own for $10. For Vail and the view, it was a deal. Food was of great quality. Wait staff was hustling all night and service was timely. However, I thought that a busser or two would help keep the plates from piling up on the tables.
Dining room had lots of windows, so the view was available from just about every table. Dinner time was good for watching the sunset.
Family friendly, so kids and noise level were high.
