Private Party Facilities: Bistro Chat Noir hosts large group reservations as well as complete "buyouts" of our townhouse space. We can accommodate up to 75 guests for a seated dinner, rehearsal dinner and cocktail or birthday party. We have a full bar and wine list. Outside terrace seating is also available. Bistro Chat Noir is located in the heart of the elegant Upper East Side and is next to Central Park.

"It's one of the only restaurants in the area where I work, so if you want a nice lunch it's pretty much the only place to go. The menu is expensive, the food is good (but not amazing). Surprisingly friendly staff."

"My family of 3 was thrilled with our Easter brunch experience. They graciously moved our noon reservation to 11:30 am at our last minute request. Our server was attentive and did not rush us in spite of a full seating. The food was delicious, large portions and beautiful presented. The artichoke and asparagus ravioli rivaled a similar dish I recently ate in Venice. Carlos was everywhere, pleasantly assuring all guests a great dining experience. Can't wait to go back!"

"In general, the food got better as the meal progressed. The soups were nothing special, even a bit oversalty; the seafood risotto was better, the salmon was quite good, and the hanger steak with frites were very good; and the desserts we got were fantastic (ile flottant, chocolate mousse)."

"Must have been the chef's night out. The ambiance was great, the decor studied and friendly, the waiters attentive. The food was a bit off: combinations that made little sense, oversized meat portions with sauces that clashed,... just not rightDefinitely worth a trip back to see if the good chef has returned :)"

"My rating for ambiance would be higher if there weren't two children in the dining room (small children)one of whom was seated right next to me in a restaurant that was almost empty. Go figure! The other toddler was very noisy and acted out the whole time he was there. Somehow the whole picture wasn't the image that comes out on their web page. We were off to a performance at the Met and were't quite in the mood for the childrens' hour -- even though we had to eat earlier. Couldn't they seat them elsewhere??"
