We had the halibut and the shrimp cocktail - both very fresh and excellent! The dessert trio was wonderful as well. Great place for out of town guests as the bread factory makes it a unique and interesting place for visitors and the wharf location is great as well.

We enjoyed our dinner with friends from San Diego and Fresno. (PArty of 8) The menu is varied and plentiful. The food was served hot and all of it was tasty. The service was attentive and gracious. We'd return and recommend it for families with a need for many choices at fair prices. Bravo!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Maybe I should have settled for the regular clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl and sandwich downstairs. That's because the french onion soup that I ordered upstairs was too bitter and salty. The salad was ok but too pricey for its quality.

Our reservation was late on Memorial Day, and the restaurant was out of several menu items, which was a shame. But the available food we chose was excellent, the ambiance was great: glad I tried Bistro Boudin, and I will return.

Great view of the waterfront. Their sourdough bread is excellent. We went for lunch on a Saturday during Memorial Day Weekend 2008....we both had delightful sandwiches on different sourdough varieties - wonderful and fresh ingredients of their food, mixed with the scenic overlook from the industrial style upstairs restaurant, in addition to the unique opportunity to watch the bakers bake the crispy bread all add up to the best dining option on Fisherman's Wharf (other restaurants on the wharf are tacky and touristy).

This has always been a favorite of mine but they recently changed their menu and I doubt if I will return again. Gone are some of their signature dishes. All that remains are boring salads you can find anywhere. I ordered the Schrimp Mango Salad (recommended by our server). It was tasty but the size of an appetizer not a main course for $17. Desserts also changed as the ONLY option is to order a trio of items. For $6.75 you receive a total of 6 spoon fulls. Bread pudding, which had been fabulous in the past, was served cold from the fridge, the cream brulee was was so small a spoon barely fit in the cup. Very disappointing and very expensive.

We really enjoyed our Mothers' Day lunch at Bistro Boudin. The food was tasty, the service was attentive, and our seat outside gave us a nice view of the Bay at Fisherman's Wharf. We also appreciated the complementary desserts and fresh loaves of sourdough bread to take home.

The service was very good, and attentive. The prices on the menu were a little more than I felt the food was worth, but considering the location and I can imagine the rent.I guess it's necessary.Presentation was great, food came out in a nice timely fashion, not overly rushed but we didn't find our selves twiddling our thumbs either. We ordered quite a bit of food, the calamari which came with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce which was nice and spicy. We also had garlic fries, they were the shoe string type, tasty but didn't really taste like GARLIC fries, we had garlic mashed potatoes which was my favourite, crab mac and cheese was great, beef stew was tender, flavorful but small portioned, Their bread, their specialty, really was excellent!

We tried this place because we love the sourdough bread from the bakery downstairs. We didn't expect much but a quick and easy lunch. We were very pleasantly surprised and have made this a frequent stop on visits to San Francisco. This time I tired the roast chicken. It was really good. I paired with the the blue cheese scalloped potatoes (if you ask nicely they'll substitute) and the combination was great. My companion has the pizza margherita and raved about it. While we were tempted by the dessert menu we opted this time for a walk up the street to Ghirardelli for ice cream sundaes.

I ordered the black cod. The portion was extremely small-- 2 small stips of fish. One piece of fish was very good and the other was mush! This should never had made it out of the kitchen as you could see from looking at it that it looked terrible. I was told that all the fish here is fresh but this must have been frozen to come out like this... the waitress was very nice and replaced it with another tiny piece.

I love this place! I've eaten here twice, and I and all guests have been thrilled. I had the Niman Ranch Sirloin: perfectly cooked. My guests have had the beef stew and the osso bucco and the filet mignon. All are beautifully presented and garnered rave reviews on flavor. A fantastic place for a quiet dinner. A beautiful, pretty, modern, simple ambiance with flattering lighting. Can't wait to go back!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/8/2008
I had put a note in the reservation box about the occasion being for our anniversary and was hoping that the staff, waiter or hostess would at least mention it or say "Happy Anniversary" or something, even if they didn't go outof their eway to do anything special, but they didn't make any mention of it whatsoever. So, I was disappointed that either the note field on the Open Table box didn't show up for the restaurant staff, or that they just didn't care and said nothing.
