The venue was perfect for this couple who had just returned to their home state of Connecticut after living in San Francisco. The ceremony was held on the lawn surrounded by the rows of vines, the cocktail hour was enjoyed in the barn area and the reception was held under a tent behind the main building. The photographer took advantage of every breathtaking view, making it hard to believe that this little bit of heaven is just a few miles from our home. As a member of the "Wine Lovers Club" and a huge fan of The Bistro, Chamard has become a destination for our family and friends.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Mother's DayI took my mom here for a Mother's Day brunch, and it was FANTASTIC! The food was outstanding, the setting was beautiful, and the chef had beautiful potted herbs on the table for all the moms! It was just delightful! :)5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Lovely SurpriseMade a reservation for 8, but then had to change it to 9. The bistor staff was accomodating and very on top of things. Our wine, appetizers, and lunch were all right on target. We were in a back room area which was spacial and perfect for talking and dinning together. The ambience was lovely and truly unexpected. I had been to the winery a few years ago and it was very small. They have made tremendous changes and it is all good. The food was delicious...we had the cheese board...loved 4 out of 5 cheeses, the burger was yummy, the steak sandwich needs an Au Ju to dip into too :)
Loved the wine selection...the reds especially!!!
We ordered each of the desserts for our table...we needed to try all of them. We agree, the cheesecake with the raspberry mousse topping was delectable!!!

The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the wines, not surprisingly, were very special. The bistro is a little off the beaten path, so that you had to know about it to go there, but I would encourage anyone to venture out to this exceptional place for a really special dining experience.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe night would have beenThe night would have been perfect if it were not for a lagre group of young women that were very loud and obnoxious. Although they were literally all the way at the end from us, they were so loud that at times, I could not hear my husband speaking to me!Our server apologized to us, but the way the dining room is set up is not at all sound absorbing or condusive to large parties. They do have a private room for large parties and that was taken.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Chamard Bistro was wonderful.The Chamard Bistro was wonderful. We had such a good time. It was almost like being in Mendosa. The food was great and the portions ample. The first wine we ordered was not all that great, a very light bodied cabernet. Our waitress was able to change this for us to a cabernet more to our liking without any problem or additional cost.

We had a great time. The food was excellent and the wine superb !!! The wine Tasting area was remodeled and now accommodates a trio who was excellent. A great ambiance. Enjoyed by all that night. My wife loves olives and there was a perfect appetizer serving for her while I went for the pommes de terre which were really good. I choose the cheese platter which was excellent as I love Cato Corner cheeses and my wife had an excellent grilled cheese sandwich on a grain bread which included a very nice side salad.
