As a frequent patron of Bistro135, i was quite disappointed to learn some changes were made due to new management. The happy hr food specials were deleted and only offered now mon-wed only. That was one of the reasons we went because the food was fantastic. All the prices went up. And the amount of food you get for that price is much smaller now.

Food was very good and our server was amazing. Unfortunately the blond hostess gave misleading information regarding happy hour, the bartenders were unfriendly and had a long wait while they struggled with the computer, and the wine was terrible.

Tried this place out early on a Saturday night hoping to combine dinner and music rather than going somewhere else after. The food was mostly good but not up to the price point. Chicken in the taco special was a little overcooked although the medium steak was a true medium, which is always a pleasant surprise. The soup special was inedible. I didn't hear the server say it was a "creamy" lemon artichoke soup. In the classic tradition of over thickened cream soups, it had curdled into cement. The calamari lunchbox was tasty and fun. I had checked the music schedule to make sure there was live jazz that night. I didn't mind paying the food prices if I was also getting some entertainment. Schedule said 6:00, by 8:00 there was still none.

The food was very well prepared; both the appetizer and mains. When it was delivered to the table, the presentation was excellent and everything was piping hot. Delicious! Service was a bit slower than we expected but was very friendly. The band that night was quite good, however it made causal conversation difficult if not impossible at times.

The food here is excellent. That is probably why it takes a little longer to get from the kitchen to the table. It's obviously made from scratch items. We had the appetizer special of beef kebobs with a horseradish sauce that was wonderful. The filet and chicken French were both outstanding. There is a jazz trio that can make conversation difficult. That being said, the music is very good. It's not every place that has a live jazz trio. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

My wife had to send back her meal because of grit in Scallops. No compensation offered, meal was replaced. Of 6 beer taps 4 not working. Happy hour offered "at tables" on website does not include table where you actually eat? What's with that? No wonder most people we saw on street passed by and went next door.

Went by this past weekend with a date night with the wife. The food was great. We started with the Lunch Box Calamari, which the waitress noted was a personal favorite of hers, and was pleasantly surprised. The flash frying and dropping over a bed of col slaw was not a combination I would have ever thought of, but was certainly a good start. The only down side is that the piano was not working properly until almost the end of our meal, but we were treated to live music for the remainder of our stay.

We eat out alot and this is right up there with the best. Just a few missteps...one they were out of Pellegrino. Two were we were seated you couldn't see the musician well. Otherwise, fabulous!

The food was excellent. Superbly cooked scallops enhanced but not overpowered by a blackberry reduction, paired with an amazing mushroom risotto and asparagus. I opted for a mixed green salad in lieu of an appetizer. The greens were fresh and lightly dressed; the lemon vinaigrette was perfectly balanced. Not a single miscue with any coponent. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Purchased a Living Social to try this restaurant. Realized day before the $20 for $40 was to expire the next day (purchased in May) so we made reservations for that night. As we waited to be seated, other people w/reservations left because it was way too long to be seated. We were seated in the room near the kitchen-Not a great first impression for first time there. It was hectic in the room, kitchen staff going in/out and room itself wasn't anything great & there were plenty of seats outside and in the other 2 areas. The food was okay & our server pleasant but I honestly don't think we will be back. I don't think they were prepared for the amount of people dining that night and were very unorganized. For the price it was just good.

We always enjoy Bistro 135, and find the food and music delightful. This was true for our last visit EXCEPT the wait staff really spoiled our get-together with friends. 1. The hostess was not in control of her station, seemed flustered and there was a general state of confusion about when to go to our table, which table was ours, etc. 2. The bar was understaffed and, while our drinks were made to our liking, it took a very long time to get the attention of the bartender, and even longer to close out our tab. 3 When we were seated, we ordered appetizers and both the lobster risotto and calamari were great. But the waiter didn't ask for our wine order, he didn't bring bread (asked 2X), and he seemed like he needed more training in general

We took our daughter to dinner on Friday night for a little one on one time before she begins her busy Jr. year in college. The service was superb---loved out waitress and wish I could remember her name--she made the night a great experience. The food was terrific and the creme brulee that we all shared was the best I have ever eaten. Hope we can do this again sometime!

I've been here for an anniversary dinner with my husband and now with a couple of friends for a girls' night out. Each time, the food has been perfect. I had the filet both times and it was cooked perfectly and so tender. I also had spinach risotto which is probably the best I've ever had. There was live music, which is unique. It was hopping for a Tuesday night. We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes late so had to wait a few minutes for our table which was understandable. We took our time ordering and then the service was a tiny bit slow in terms of our server coming back for refills and the bill and they ran out of most of their desserts, which was disappointing. Overall it was great and we'll definitely be back.

Our only complaint, the waitress could not keep our four meals straight. Only four of us, and she had to ask, "now who got the medium well, and who had the eggplant enchiladas?". Not a big deal, maybe our expectations are just too high for this classy establishment.

We've been to this restaurant many times over the years and always loved it. Went again on Friday night with friends, but had a different experience. Service was very slow (hostess never told server we had been seated). Once ordered, drinks took a long time because the bar ran out of glasses (!). And the menu only included 3 gluten free items, 2 of which I had no interest in. So I had the eggplant enchiladas which were mediocre, at best. When I asked, the server admitted that there was new management, and the long-time chef was on his way out, being replaced by the #2 guy. So, buyer beware. I'd hate to see this once great restaurant go downhill, but time will tell.

This was our third time at Bistro 135 and it was very disappointing. It has been about a year since we last went and I am not sure if they changed the chef but the food was definitely not the same calibre. It was fairly bland and tasteless. Service was good but the music was a little too overpowering for a 7PM dinner reservation. I love good jazz but while you are eating it should be more background music than a 10PM loud, live show.

The a la carte dinner salad is very small and not unique in any way.The entree (I had the pistachio crusted, lemon beurre blanc sea bass with garlic mashed potatoes) was tasteless. The pistachios were barely there and it had too mild a flavor. The mashed potatoes were delicious as were the 3 spears of asparagus. It was $30 and overpriced. For desert, we shared pastry which encased fruit. It was supposed to be hot (and wasn't) and crisp (it was undercooked). It was supposed to have vanilla ice cream and had barely a teaspoon. We did not eat it as it was raw and the waitress asked if it was ok and we told her no. She did not offer to remove it from the bill ($8). If the prices were lower I might consider trying it again.

The restaurant ambiance (jazz inside - lovely courtyard outside) was better than the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but it just wasn't great. For the price and what I expected, I was disappointed. Scallops weren't quite crispy enough on the outside, salad tomatoes were mushy, and fries were too salty on the steak. If it weren't so expensive, I would go back. But I expected much more at that price. Service was lovely and very attentive.
