Carmelo Rago of Sorrentino's Restaurant Group is pleased to introduce their newest restaurant concept, BISTECCA Italian Steakhouse & Wine Bar by Sonny Sung. It Is Truly in a class of its own. Located in the heart of Century Park in Edmonton's Southside.

BISTECCA's menu is inspired by Sorrentino's Restaurant Group Corporate Executive Chef Sonny Sung, and is a combination of Savory Antipasti, Divine Pasta and Succulent Entrées containing only the finest cuts beautifully aged to perfection. BISTECCA proudly serves Sterling Silver Beef which is the highest graded premium beef in Canada.

BISTECCA's 'Wine Bar' has a very inviting, casual elegant and relaxed atmosphere. We offer an 8 oz. "Quartino" which can be enjoyed for half price during 'HAPPY HOUR' from 3 - 6PM everyday. (Sunday's from 4PM). The 'Wine Bar' menu is a combination of Assagini (Little Tastes), Pizza and our signature Kobe Burger.

  • "Went on a Tuesday to celebrate and bday. Server was very friendly but SLOW. I don't mean we were waiting for the kitchen but we were waiting for everything else, water, bread, order to be taken, wine to be served - everything. All the meals were very good as they have been on previous visits. If you are a wine guy (person) check the vintages on their wine as most of the affordable ones are form iffy years."

We were seated in a high-back comfortable booth which we appreciated as we had conversation privacy and no distractions. Our waitress was the best! Our food arrived piping hot and appropriately seasoned. Our desserts all had an appetizing presentation and were so delicious. We will definitely return, and we recommend this classy restaurant. "

We save it for this special occasion because we can always count on excellent food, great service and a quiet and romantic environment. We would certainly go back more often, but have saved it as our " special place" for anniversaries. The only " Oops" was the fact that there were several items on the wine list that were not available - NOT the restaurant's fault - simply a supply issue. However, our well-informed server provided appropriate alternatives, which speaks to how well-versed the servers are in both wine knowledge and customer service."

We ordered the special which was short ribs...the meat was to tough I couldn't even chew it. My girlfriend had that pasta and it was pretty good. The service wasn't half bad but from what the service was like a year ago, it doesn't even compare. Bictecca, what's doing on?"

  • "Not fine dining but definitely worth a return visit. We discovered that Bistecca was celebrating Garlic experience this month ("This Menus Stinks") and it was a great experience. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were outstanding. The house wines (we had the Argentinian Malbec and a Pinot Gris) were very reasonable. The wine list included much more expensive options if you prefer. Out server was outstanding and the manager came by often for quality checks. Our selections included a braised beef in puff pastry, a pork tenderloin and a trout dish. Each were nicely presented and very tasty. We will be back for sure."

  • "We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant last evening with our very good friends. The dining experience was excellent from start to finish and Tammy took very good care of us the entire evening. I had the mussels as a starter and they were very delicious however, my fingers had a fair amount of the sauce on them. I suggest that a small bowl of water with a lemon slice and perhaps a small drying towel is given to persons who have the mussels as this is a good way of cleaning the fingers. As an alternate a "wet wipes" type towelette can be provided. I had the New York steak that was prepared to perfection; however there was an allspice flavored puree underneath that I didn't care for. Good steaks should not rely on sauces or purees."

  • "It was my first time at your restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was very good. Our waitress was really good and just mentioned specials without trying to push them. The onion soup is outstanding and my choice of sirloin steak was very good. The portions come in two sizes so if you are not a big eater would be wise to take the smaller one. My son and his girlfriend also thought the food and service was very good. We did not have to wait long. I will certainly come back in the future."

  • "This was the first time we went here and for a quaint birthday dinner, we enjoyed it overall. Service was fabulous and so were the drinks and appetizers. The Kobe meatballs, mussels and escargot stood out. Main dishes could have been better, since the bison rib eye was ridiculously tough and the vegetable ravioli was too salty. Portions are small so appetizers are a must! If you have room for dessert, get the warm chocolate torte-it is to die for!"
