Carmelo Rago of Sorrentino's Restaurant Group is pleased to introduce their newest restaurant concept, BISTECCA Italian Steakhouse & Wine Bar by Sonny Sung. It Is Truly in a class of its own. Located in the heart of Century Park in Edmonton's Southside.

BISTECCA's menu is inspired by Sorrentino's Restaurant Group Corporate Executive Chef Sonny Sung, and is a combination of Savory Antipasti, Divine Pasta and Succulent Entrées containing only the finest cuts beautifully aged to perfection. BISTECCA proudly serves Sterling Silver Beef which is the highest graded premium beef in Canada.

BISTECCA's 'Wine Bar' has a very inviting, casual elegant and relaxed atmosphere. We offer an 8 oz. "Quartino" which can be enjoyed for half price during 'HAPPY HOUR' from 3 - 6PM everyday. (Sunday's from 4PM). The 'Wine Bar' menu is a combination of Assagini (Little Tastes), Pizza and our signature Kobe Burger.

  • "This was the first time we went here and for a quaint birthday dinner, we enjoyed it overall. Service was fabulous and so were the drinks and appetizers. The Kobe meatballs, mussels and escargot stood out. Main dishes could have been better, since the bison rib eye was ridiculously tough and the vegetable ravioli was too salty. Portions are small so appetizers are a must! If you have room for dessert, get the warm chocolate torte-it is to die for!"

The pork loin was exceptional and the bison cannelloni very tasty. Very nice ambiance for a special evening. Only criticism was that the service was a little slow and they forgot one of the side dishes."

  • "The worst experience ever. Waited 1.5 hours for our food. Manager was rude when this was brought to his attention. Various and sundry excuses were provided. When the food came the steak was over cooked and the rest of the meals were cold. Will never go back again."

  • "An early dinner before a movie we had a quiet table for two, with a very attentive server. Started with warm grain type bread, followed by appetizer of smoked salmon and cheese. First course very nice lobster bisque ( really good) we shared, followed by a perfectly cooked steak with beats, potatoes and asparagus, hubby had very tasty bison cannelloni a little too much cheese for my liking but still delicious. A wonderful meal, no room for dessert."

  • "The noise level was very high. There were two babies crying for some time and after an hour the families left. The wine was very expensive as were the drinks we had. I chose an escargot appetizer and it was served in the shell but they did not provide the device that is used to hold the shell to allow you to extract the snail. The shells were very hot so this was a bit of an exercise. When I asked about the tool, the waiter just said they don't have them. I used an olive pick from my martini to remove the escargot from the shell. I ordered a tenderloin steak and it arrived overdone. I had also asked the waiter if they had a stuffed potato and he said yes but what I got were potato fingerlings. I told the management but no adjustment made."

  • "Our first visit, and it was enjoyable from beginning to end. Atmosphere is great. Beautifully decorated in dark leather and subdued paintings. Does not have the old traditional steakhouse mentality or stuffiness. Servers are very attentive and helpful (thank you Jenn). Food was equally good... from a ceasar salad that the server splits in front of you to the tender Lamb Shank and risotto. Sides are good as well and add the right amount of flavour. The bathroom being so far from the lounge is a bit of a pain but overall, this restaurant is worth a try and we will return!"

  • "I had booked here for my sons 13th birthday family dinner. I made sure they new it was his birthday when making the reservation. When we arrive we were seated and our dining experience began. Our waiter was horrible, he had no personality and was ruin constantly reaching in front or across while we were eating to clear dishes. He never asked if we wanted a second drink and did mention our sons birthday during our whole time there. It was a let down as I wanted them to make him feel special by acknowledging his special day. The food was good everything except the Caesar salad. I would go back again because of the food but would insist on a different waiter. This guy wouldn't even acknowledge us when we said thank you!"

Gelato with caramel corn on the side a nice touch. Have visited Bistecca many times. The staff are always accommodating and the food satisfying. Maybe the menu could change a little more often but that's a minor detail. Definitely recommended"

It was definitely gourmet and we found both our meals to be quite unique.   • "My husband & I were excited to celebrate Valentine's Day and our Anniversary, but wished the staff were as excited. Our waiter was 15 mins late, but did a great job. 45 mins elapsed between appetizers and main course. My husband finished his baked dessert long before I received mine. Not until I approached the Manager about the delay, did it finally arrive. Did I mention it was fruit, biscotti, and a chilled square!! Nothing intricate. When I commented 'THIS is what I've been waiting for', the Manager proceeded to blame the owner, kitchen, and even the waiter. I never once saw the Manager go into the kitchen to help out. I might've understood if it was busy... t wasn't... it was a Sunday! The $25 credit didn't sway my feelings of Bistecca"
