The waiter was exceptional! He made us feel like we were the only people there. He was there exactly when we wanted him, but not overbearing one bit. We kidded around with him and he totally went along with us making it a wonderful experience. HIs knowledge in wine along with his recommendations could not have been better. The food was the best. We dine a lot and found this place on the top of the list to revist. Close to Newport Beach, contemporary American with great choices for seafood and steak. This time around we had the artichoke soup and the garlic soup and for entrees the salmon and the mushroom crusted halibute with a mushroom truffle sauce (my favorite). All were outstanding. Since I moved father South, I tend to forget about it. Well, it didn't disappoint! We were seated at a lovely booth and experienced excellent service. The food was even better than I remembered - Artichoke salad was amazing, served with wonderful La Brea Bakery warm crusty bread. We had the swordfish with lemon risotto and the sesame crusted Yellow Fin Tuna with Asian vegetables- both were very good. OC has many fine restaurant choices, and we picked Bistango. Through OT we let them know the nature of our needs, and boy, did they deliver.
Great table, great atmosphere. Impeccable service: attentive, but not intrusive. We were there 2 hours, never felt rushed...just comfortable, like the staff was conveying "we're glad you're here, let us take care of you." Outstanding food, as always.
Manager Ray came by to make sure everything was ok.
I'm not a regular at this restaurant, so I didn't really warrant special attention. It says a lot that they took care of us the way they did.

Tuna Tartare appetizer was spicy and very well done also the salad was fresh and crisp. The 45 day aged steak and the lamb chops were soft and tender and but they both lacked real flavor. But it did! The Three chocolate parfait with the most delicious and curious crisp and raspberry sauce put the meal over the top. One of the best meals we've had. As unique as it seems to have a great retaurant located in the atrium of an office building - it really works here. The decor is always changing, but the quality doesn't. We were not disappointed. Located in a business district, the setting is modern, clean, and very nice with all the art on display. Service was attentive, and friendly. One can always tell when your water glass gets filled right away. Wife had seared scallops and it was done perfectly, just enough smokey flavor and texture. Daughter had caesar which was light and tangy. I had the roasted garlic soup also light and smooth. Mains were Chilean sea bass with mushroom risotto, fish moist, and tender and sweet, risotto al dante. Rack of lamb was tender, moist and the reduction 'jus' was tasty.
