Both were very good experiences. Food is wonderful and staff is quite friendly. I shall return when in the area. Even met nice people at the next table and conversed throughout the meal. Have told friends about this gem.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerWe had dinner here as part of Dining Out for Life. We had been to Bisou for brunch, but not dinner.
We were promptly seated downstairs and felt welcomed. Everything we ordered was delicious from the French onion soup to the penne pasta in a cream sauce. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate fondant.
We will return.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was basic French bistroFood was basic French bistro fare, but excellently done. We had a great time - the ambiance was great, and our waiter was terrific.
I would recommend Bisou to anyone looking for decent French food in the Castro.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was great - ourThe service was great - our server was really energetic and fun. The place was packed, which is just a testament to its popularity. I wouldn't bring a family here. It was a young, loud crowd. We had to yell to talk to each other, but we didn't mind! And the food was delicious.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAll together a good experience,All together a good experience, we've dined at Bisou at least 4 times. Our waiter was great too. 2 of us had the Seared Dayboat Scallops, and as usual they were wonderful. 1 of us had the Petrole Sole Roulade and he only ate half of it. First time one of us wasn't completely satisfied. We had a great bottle of Côtes du Rhone, Chateau de L'Estagnol 2007 as well. I'd give the whole evening a 8.5/10. Next time no fish; we'll get the Beef Bourguignon.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious bartenderGreat food, and the bartender made me the most delicious Bloody Mary ever! He was delicious too!!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLike a neighborhood bistro in ParisLike dining at a neighborhood bistro in Paris. Superlative food and wine and attentive staff. If I didn't live in the East Bay, I would dine there weekly.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatest Brunch in The CastroAbsolutely superb every time we go. I can't say enough good things about this place!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food with fun Castro atmoFun as always with excellent food, not much room and your neighbors around you. Make sure to have a cocktail as well.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA very cute, french restaurant.A very cute, french restaurant. Great food, definitely a nice romantic spot in the Castro.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBisou was fantastic as always.Bisou was fantastic as always. It's become a bit of a goto place for us. My only criticism is that it took a while to get our dishes...this was more our fault though. We were waited in a more european tradition. The waiter was waiting for us to finish our appetizer before starting out main dish. Once we told him of our airport rush he came to the rescue with 3 perfectly cooked dishes. Perfect atmosphere, company, food, and staff. We are always treated phenomenally when visiting Bisou. Thank you Nick and Damien!3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable dining experienceWe ordered 4 appetizers and 4 entrees and they were all delicious. The salmon tartare, duck, beef bourgaignone, and roast chicken were notable standouts. We will definitely be back.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
