Overall the place is great. The outdoor deck is quaint. Service was good. Just wish the server would have approached us a few minutes after being served dinner. Escargot was good. Tuna tartar was amazing and tried the Vitello tonnata for the first time which was great. Pork cheeks were outstanding. Very pleased with the portion and they were really rich. Had drinks at the bar after and bartender was very experienced. Only complaint was that all of the wines were too pricey.

We had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. We were sat promptly upon our arrival, the restaurant was very clean and the food was amazingly tasty. The service was a bit on the slow side, but considering it was Friday night during restaurant week, we give them a pass on that. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we will return regularly.

Having returned from vacationing in France recently I thought that I had experienced the creme de la creme of foodie indulgences. Bisou Cafe's mussels in bacon, gorgonzola sauce were the best I've ever had. Better than the thousand I ate in the regions of Brittany and Normandie, and the foodtastic city of Paris. The tender pork cheeks and escargot were also unique and well prepared. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends. It has a great atmosphere and courteous staff. Plus it is in Manayunk, so you can indulge and walk-off your excesses while perusing the neighborhood goods.

Went out with friends last Saturday and had a lovely dinner at Bisou. Especially the dish with the pork chop, chanterelle mushrooms and creamy polenta was excellent!!! The beet salad was divine and the creme brulee was a nice way to finish a fabulous dinner. Thank you, Bisou!!! We will be back soon!

The space is great, you can stick to the bar area, you can indulge your dessert, after-dinner drink, coffee in a cosy spot or a few steps upper another nice indoor dining area or a great outdoor area, away from traffic. As for the menu, the choice is good enough that you think, I can try that dish on another time, and we will. We had great fish with savory rice and great vegetable. Coffee is good. The cooks and owner team are very hospitable and friendly. I'll give 3 bisous and 1/2 on 4 (3 kisses & 1/2).

I had their caprese and the duck breast appetizer. They were both delicious. I ordered the rainbow trout which was cooked to perfection. The artichoke puree went with the fish so well. I also tried the roast chicken which was really tasty. The place has a couple tables to sit outside on the sidewalk. It has a bar that can fit about a dozen people comfortably. I look forward to visiting this place again.

Although it is slighly off Manayunk's' main track, the food here is really good and very reasonably priced. it is consistent in quality And beautifully presented. They have just opened an outdoor dining space on the second floor and it is quite attractive. The service is excellent and the wine list diverse.

My husband and I went to dinner for the first time here. We were excited because they were serving lobster risotto and it sounded delicious. My husband and I ordered our food and we were surprised with the portion. It could have been a little more. My husband went across the street and both himself a hot dog to fill himself up. The taste of the food was great but the portion was not at all what we expected. I, for one, don't like it when restaurants over fill your plate, but this one could have been a little fuller. Otherwise ambience was great and great mix drinks.

We had an outstanding meal here on a Thursday night, pre-concert at the Mann. The food was first rate and showed the excellent credentials of the chef. Appetizers we tried included the French Onion Soup and the Salted Cod Croquettes. The sooup was rich and flavorful and the croquettes were a revelation, creamy, crunchy and delightful. Our main courses were Arctic Char with a delectable and generous portion of risotto and pork cheeks and sausage. Prices, except for the drinks, were very reasonable for the quality. Every mouthful was delicious. Bravo, but where are all the other diners? The place was nearly empty.

This is probably a great little place for late night drinks with friends. Although the food was very good, the menu is limited. I went for brunch on a Sunday to try it out. The atmosphere was good with friendly service. However, the wait staff clearly was not focused on the food menu. She was able to describe the drinks in detail but needed help when asking questions about the food. The layout and style would lend to a great Friday night outing especially when the whether is good!

On our most recent dining experience at Bisou, my husband and I took friends unfamiliar with Main Street. Everyone was full and satisfied when we left. The mussels are always a good starter here, I highly recommend them. For dinner, my husband had the roast chicken, one of our friends and I both had the pork cheeks, and the other had the barramundi. I can speak mostly for the pork cheeks, since this was my entree: they are delicious, with a side of sausage, but be aware that these come with a big kick of sodium. The salt could be dialed back a bit on this dish. I sampled some of the roast chicken, and it was again delicious, served with fingerling potatoes. Overall, I highly recommend Bisou.

My hubby and I decided to try this place for a "dinner and a movie" date night. We were somewhat short on time (1.5 hrs) so we opted to sit at the bar. The hostess seemed new and a little unsure but very polite. The bartender was great. Her service was on point, mixed drinks very well, and was directing the servers so they did not miss the details. One thing out of her control - the food service was very slow. The kitchen can not seem to get the timing right with the food, which I would imagine impacts sales. There is not a ton of seating at this place and there seems to be a lot of people sitting around waiting for food. The good news is, the food was worth the wait! I would not recommend going here unless you have a couple hours to burn.

We had a very nice meal with friends but the restaurant was so hot that we were sweating. It was so hot that when we got up to leave our backs and the bottoms of our pants were drenched. Since we were with friends I declined to say anything but it was very uncomfortable. If the food is good but you can't eat without sweating it's not worth a return visit.

It was nice! The specials were delicious but the bottomless drinks were pretty overpriced, but it didn't matter because we ordered single drinks anyway. They were probably all top shelf cocktails, so I guess it made sense. The service was great and the decor was fantastic! Enjoyed the food very much, and some items were truly memorable - for appetizers standouts were the mussels in blue cheese sauce and the dressed lobster. For entree, the pork cheeks with sausage was delicious. The upstairs room is beautifully decorated with French art prints arranged on deep red walls. However, the noise level is very loud. Service was a little on the slow side, and a little inexperienced (our waitress spilled mussel sauce all over herself..glad it wasn't spilled on me!) Overall a nice choice in Manayunk, would return but next time on a weeknight when it would hopefully be less crowded and noisy.
