"My husband tried the buckhorn chicken - he had to swat my hand away because I kept stealing bites - soooo good! I got the trout - I don't even like fish, but I saw the table next to me had it and it looked pretty good. I'd definitely get it again."

"We have been to Birches many times in the last year. The food is prepared pefectly and presentations are attractive and appealing. Wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Sheryl and Ashley have served us often and remember us. The Buckhorn chicken and the sweet potato fries are real treats as is the walleye. Great variety of desserts also. This is restaurnat is a winner and worth the drive to Long Lake. I use a walker and am always treated well and accommodated easily."

"We were not impressed with this place. The location is not particularly nice and this place is very small. The prices are on the high end and this is definitely NOT that place. We received 3 small slices of bread (I mean "small", so why bother) I ordered the walleye and it was very fishy tasting and was placed on the tarter sauce spread across the plate. I did not like it but had to eat. The was my first experience with not having it on the side. We had an early reservation, so service was good considering we were the only table besides a large group. However, we did wait considerably for the waitress to pick up our check and bring our change. We would definitely not return. For the price there are much better options in this town."
