  • "Binks Scottsdale is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The covered patio is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. The menu is varied and the food is delicious. Love the Kale salad (not listed as a salad) and the fresh biscuits. It's quiet and there's plenty of parking."

  • "Binks delivered as expected. The decor is simple and the seating is uncrowded and pretty quiet. The food was very good. The beer and wine lists were also quite good. I especially liked the emphasis on local breweries including Mother Road in Flagstaff. All in all, a very enjoyable experience."

  • "Love Bink's. All locations. My first time at Scottsdale and it's lovely. The food is always creative and delicious. There is a genius in that kitchen!!"

  • "Our server gave us recommendations when we asked and even allowed us to have a taste of a liquor we had asked about. When my cocktail wasn't to my liking, he immediately asked how I would like it and replaced it with a much better version. The duck breast dinner is the best we have had in the Valley."

  • "We went because we heard it was owned by Binkleys and thought it had to be great. I thought the waiter was totally condescending with an obnoxious attitude. Not sure we would return. The food was okay."

  • "having dinner at Binks was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is attractive and comfortable and we had attentive and friendly service. We are not adventurous diners....we prefer basics, but there were enough choices for us to find something that appealed to us. I would not reccommend it for someone who is strictly a plain"meat and potatoes" eater. The menu is eclectic! We will return and reccomend it to most of our friends."

  • "The service was great, as was the food. The menu is not large, but we were able to make good selections. Nice presentation. I had the duck which was great, and my husband had the salmon, also great. The sides were okay, but I would probably not order these again as they were pricey for what you get."

  • "Service was pretty good, but, when we were ready to leave, it took us a long time to find our waiter to get our check, but, other than that is was great!!!!"

  • "For a major metropolitan area we are finally creating and sustaining a vibrant culinary culture. It's an exciting time and thankfully Chefs like Kevin Binkley have stuck to their ideals and also stuck with Arizona and didn't run off to more fertile pastures like Vegas, Chicago, L.A., etc."

  • "Returned for dinner after having lunch some weeks ago. The decor fascinated me. Love the gigantic photographs food jars with numerous food wonders. Everything from garlic, baby carrots and colorful beets to sliced lotus roots displayed in jars nearly arranged in wooden wall divider shelves and well lighted. We chose Binks after a busy day for the quiet. Only wish the grilled octopus had been a bit larger-.citrus salad was perfection and muscles in curry amazing."

  • "It is good news that Binkley has come to Scottsdale. The food is interesting, delicious and generally wonderful. The whole place is consistent with Binkley's philosophy that fine dining should be fun. I was surprised it was not more crowded, but the locals will catch on soon."

  • "The Valley is so fortunate to have Kevin Binkley as one of our chefs. His food never disappoints. We took out of town friends with us and they were impressed with the uniqueness of his dishes and how fresh and delicious it all was."

  • "The menu was quite different. I know that Binkley is known as one of the finest chefs in the Valley. But it really wasn't for our taste. I had mussels in some kind of a coconut and scallion sauce- I should have asked for white wine instead. My friend had squash soup (just ok) and a combination bowl of Bolognese and creamy polenta, served with a large chunk of garlic bread- no pasta. She took home the red sauce and said that she would have it the next night with some pasta. My husband had delicious trout almondine and our other friend had some kind of a vegetarian quinoa skillet. EVERYTHING was ala carte and could have been very pricey. They did serve bread with the dinner- that was the only extra. I would not return."

  • "Have now been to all four Binkley establishments and they do not disappoint. Bink's Scottsdale is a welcome addition to that part of Scottsdale Road providing a perfect light lunch fare option. Most Appetizer selections are shareable and we especially enjoyed the carrots with dates and the sunchokes along with the chopped salad with chicken and dried salami. Will definitely return to try happy hour and dinner."

  • "I'll be up front and note that we went for Valentine's Day. Bad call. Was a fairly unimaginative set menu that was competent, but not what you'd expect from Kevin Binkley. Rating the food itself, things were inconsistent. Salad, soup, and meat were OK. Fois add-on and fish were very nice. Dessert was weak and left uneaten. On the service side, first course arrived before cocktails, wine pairings were late, lots of miscues, very rushed in spite of half full dining room. Total experience seemed a bit all over the place. Price was also very high for what we had. Would probably endure the long drive up to Cave Creek next time for a real Binkley experience at around the same price."

  • "Server and Hostess went out of their to provide great service"

  • "Order of serving items was inappropriate. Soup and entree were served at the same time. Size of table was so small that the cup of soup (sans plate underneath) nearly fell off corner of table. Every item ordered was basically dumped onto the table at once. Not a good pace to the meal. Food was tasty, but order of service detracted from experience."

  • "We had read some rather negative reviews on Yelp, but the menu looked good and the space is small, but appealing. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu is not large, but everything we had was good. I had the beet salad and my husband had the soup. Both were good. We were not terribly hungry so we split the sand dabs which were really good. The service was friendly and not rushed. All in all, a nice addition to the area. They might want to expand the menu to get locals to return more often."

  • "Loved Bink's-- the location is nothing to shout about since its in a strip mall but we brought out of town guests there based on our prior experiences at Binkley's. Great evening. The server took his time explaining everything to us and really knew his stuff. The food was eclectic but accessible. The produce menu was a real treat with some very unique flavors and combinations. Highly recommended!!"

  • "I know there have been some mixed reviews about this restaurant, but my friend and I had a great time. I really liked the decor/ambiance of the restaurant. Our waiter Max was friendly and attentive. He made good wine recommendations and was knowledgeable about the menu. I had the the hangar steak and my friend had the diver scallops. Both were excellent. I enjoyed my salad of local citrus and baby shrimp. Great flavors. The sunchoke appetizer was very good too. This location is a little bit more fancy than the Cafe Bink in Carefree - more on par with Bink's midtown. Only have the main Binkley's to try."

  • "Have previously been to Binkley's owned by the same chef and was looking forward to trying Bink's. Binks didn't disappoint. Food was delicious and artful and reasonable portions. We tried scallops, flat iron steak and the fish and everyone was happy with their meal. Interesting and creative sides. Overall very good."

  • "Our family has been to Bink's several times--sometimes adults only, once with children. The menu is esoteric so not every child might find something suitable, but overall, Bink's has to be approached with a sense of adventure. That being said, everything is interesting, a bit outlandish, but basically healthy and certainly special. I can't say enough about the staff--they are funny, accommodating and attentive. Good food, service and a touch of the unusual--definitely worth a visit."

  • "My wife and I went for Valentine's Day so my review may be a bit unfair but nevertheless represents my experience. The food was very good. In fact, exceptional. Be careful if you go to one of these seatings as there is no choice of a menu and it was prix fixe only. The regular menu was not available and the five course selection had meat only as the entrée. Ask ahead of time and be prepared. Again, the food was very good and the pace of the meal was just right. The wine pairing my wife had was very well selected. The low mark is for the lack of choice and no menu available. My wife had the wine pairing and I had water and it came to two bills plus the tip."

  • "We ate here and were expecting it to live up to other Bink's experiences. The space is beautiful. The art work is lovely. The service was fine. Unfortunately, the presentation of the food left a little to be desired. The totally unaccompanied trout looked very plain and lonely on the plate. It is one of our favorite dishes at Cafe Bink. The trout was very good, but it needed the Haricots Verts with it! The deep fried baby back ribs are delicious; the marrow bone was very good; the mussels were excellent. We hope that once the growing pains of a new restaurant settle in, that it will be as great as the other Binkley restaurants! We will give it another try, for sure."

  • "Amazing combinations of flavors! It is so creative ! Quiet atmosphere was the perfect place to take my wife for a special lunch. All the food is freshly prepared. Our waiter was courteous, prompt, kept my drink refilled and made great recommendations. You must try the butternut squash soup. Best soup ever!"

  • "This restaurant is a classic case of over-hype. Not impressed at all. Amy'sBolognese, which every reviewer raves about, was too salty to eat. Two of us ordered this and neither finished it. My husband ordered a few of the ribs from the appetizer selection, so underwhelmed by these. The duck entree looked more like an appetizer with 3 small medallions. We took friends here as a special thank you - all of use enjoy trying new restaurants and dishes. I was wishing we had chosen another spot for dinner. The best part of our dinner was the buckwheat muffins before dinner and our server who was great. Other than these, I would not recommend Bink's to anyone."

  • "I had heard rave reviews about the new Bink's from friends especially the French fries with their three dipping sauces, so I decided to try it myself. I had the Butternut Squash Soup which was absolutely superb. I then split a Chicken Salad Sandwich with my dining companion. The sandwich was lovely too. We also ordered the fries. I found the fries to be a little too salt and hard for my taste but the dipping sauces were great. I would certainly go back as I would like to try some of the salads as they looked wonderful."

  • "The food was not up to Binkley's in Cave Creek - by a long shot! Better food to be had in the same neighborhood at Houston's or Rancho Pinot. BTW, my three dining companions all have the same view."

  • "I was hoping that the new Bink's would become our new neighborhood "Place To Go". After trying several lunches and dinners, I must now admit that I'm not sure if it ever will attain that status. The ambience is pleasant unless you're seated in the rear where the glare from the kitchen fluorescent lights is like a death ray. The menu is limited and my guests played it safe by ordering the flat iron steaks. I ordered the trout. When it arrived, the portion was so small, I wondered if it qualified as a legal catch. Still being hungry after dinner, I ordered the chocolate pudding cake and ice cream. The presentation was obscenely suggestive. Adding to this, the personnel is trained but not well trained. Sam Fox, "Where are you"?"
