  • "If your desire is to experience the best..this is the place Thomas Keller would also agree.."

  • "We live 32 miles from Binkley's, so it is not a frequent place to visit. In fact we make a two night stay at the Boulder's in nearby Carefree. It's a quick drive (a mile or so) to Binkley's. Our son, who was a chef in New York (now in Singapore) recommended Binkley's to us and we have not been disappointed. We have only been to this restaurant twice, but we have been to two other Bink's establishments quite often. Always happy with the food and the choices."

  • "Binkley's is the first truly gourmet restaurant we have ever found in Phoenix. The friends we took for the first time agreed that the food and presentation is on a par with the finest restaurants in NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans. This gem of a restaurant is well worth the drive from downtown Phoenix or anywhere else in the Valley to Cave Creek."

  • "This place is truly one of the best restaurants I ever eaten in. And I've eaten in some of the best restaurants the world has to offer us. It was truly an adventure and fun to experience ( not just taste) the food."

  • "The menu is great and so is the wine list, but the best part about this restaurant is waiting for the next amuse bouche to arrive. My favorite is the mini sloppy joe with a single waffle chip. Definitely an experience. Come hungry."

  • "Food: Confusing, lacked balance. Dishes ranged from delicious (moist duck) to appalling (fishy trout with flavorless gnocchi). Small tastes interspersed throughout the meal, some good and others really bad e.g. a "shot" of mint flavored sugar water with chocolate spears served on a LED coaster, a table side brewed "digestif" so sweet we could not drink it. Plating vacillated from beautiful to downright tacky. Service: Servers were nice but very inexperienced. Most dishes were dropped at our table without explanation. Others were partially explained "here's the pork." Inconsistently attentive. Decor: Glass cylinders filled with marbles and submerged roses, low-pile carpet on walls... Overall: Not what one should expect for $175 pp dining."

  • "From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience - fabulous food, interestingly prepared; delightful little surprises punctuating the meal; and outstanding service from very knowledgeable staff. An evening we won't forget!!!!!"

  • "Binkley's is a must when in Phoenix. The food is delicious and the presentation exceptional. They serve numerous small bites in addition to the main entree, and each one is a work of art, unique and with great flavor. On top of all that, the service was outstanding. Attentive and friendly but not intrusive. The room we were in was small and for a table of two would be a bit cramped. But we had 4 people at a corner table and it was fine. Nothing in terms of a view and from the outside it looks unimpressive, but this place is a gem not to be missed."

  • "We arrived to our dinner with car trouble that we thought might end the night, but the wonderful Host at the door reassured us that he was there to help and we could have a seat and relax. He took care of our problem and we set off to a wonderful meal complimented by excellent wine pairings! Everything was perfect and the service was great."

  • "Good overall experience. Went in expecting great. Went with 5 course fixed. Shrimp dish and sauce were the stars of the meal - very good. Small chefs bites in between courses were inventive and very good. Courses were well presented by the chef and well timed. Main courses were very light on the featured protein component. Service was slow at the bar (staff cleaning stemware making coffees yet no offer of drinks) and slow upon initial sit down in dining room. Ambiance/decor needs an update/refresh to be on par with price point for the menu. Would recommend the new Binks Cafe in town vs the drive up the hill to the original dining room."

  • "We were visiting Phoenix for a conference and read about Binkleys. It was worth the drive through the beautiful desert sunset to get there. We had the five course tasting menu. Cocktails were perfect and the courses were delicious and inventive. Standouts were a fish in parchment, and the five spice filet. The cheese fondue was fun and delicious. Would definitely recommend Binkleys!"

  • "We celebrated our15th wedding anniversary at Binkleys. They kindly sat us at the "date" table(the best seats in the house). We were still wowed by all the amuses and all four courses of our tasting meal. Amy,thanks for coming by,and saying hi. We know how busy you are on a Saturday night. Loved the gadget that made the delicious digestif."

  • "We all ordered the five course meal, which also comes with many small sampler bites. Everything was fabulous and well presented."

  • "Binkley's was recommended to us as a restaurant where the tasting menu option was "the way to go." After dining once, I can say that it won't matter what you order; it will be Fantastic! We did do the 6-course-tasting menu, but without the wine pairings. Each course, as well as the numerous amouse bouche or intermezzos were well thought out and a delightful palette sensation. The service was courteous and well timed, as well as friendly and informative. We dined in a small side room that accomodates only three tables, so it felt almost like a private dining experience. All in all, a wonderful evening and an exceptional treat that we will indulge in for special occasions."

  • "Binkley's well deserves it's reputation as one of the finest restaurants in the Phoenix area. As first time diners we went with the 4 course tasting menu which allowed us to sample both hot and cold appetizers, choice of entree and the dessert and cheese offerings. Between courses we were served a wonderful assortment of hors d'oeuvres. Everything was a taste treat."

  • "Our daughter and future husband chose to come here for their engagement instead of having a party. We always go for the 6 course with wine pairing. The food was good but the chocolate mousse was not very tasty, they smothered it with cream and it just killed it. They usually write congratulations on the plate and give you a copy of the menu when you are celebrating a special occasion, they did not do this. So that is the reason for only 3 stars on service and food."

  • "binkley's is always a culinary adventure. The little tidbits between courses are every bit as exciting as the meal itself. For the average diner this is not a place you return to weekly - mostly because of the high cost of the meal - but also because it gets a bit repetitive. we will return semi-annually to enjoy the experience."

  • "Intimate restaurant with amazing cuisine! Magical experience I'll never forget. I couldn't get over how many amuse Bouche's they brought out between every course. Really spectacular - ill definitely return and bring friends to show off this GEM! They honestly didn't forget anything!"

  • "Always go to Binkley's when I am in the area. Creative cuisine and presentation, friendly staff, fun (you never know what extra tastes you'll get), unpretentious, local ingredients."

  • "My husband and I dine out a lot, and often choose very nice restaurants with great food and service. This was bar far the best service we have experienced in several years. For a very special night out, I highly recommend Binkley's."

  • "This was our 5th or 6th visit to Binkley's. It was outstanding as always. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there, specifically selecting Binkley's for the occasion. Visitors from Nashville"

  • "I travel just about every week, and Binkley's has become one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Kevin's creativity is off the charts, and the consistency of the incredible food is unbelievable. The wait staff is truly outstanding, as they are all very knowledgable and dedicated to making your experience as over the top as they can. I don't live in Phienix, but Bonkley's is one of my first stops whenever I am here."

  • "Being a foodie, I was thrilled with the variety of tasting. All the little extras and palate cleansers were exciting. Being able to talk with the chef was a big treat. This restaurant is one of my top 5!"

  • "We have had the good fortune to be able to dine here several times over the past few years and find that the quality, innovation, and artistry of the food that comes out of Kevin Binkley's kitchen never wavers. The staff as always was highly professional, but welcoming and unpretentious. One can't help but wonder if the flagship Binkley's Restaurant might suffer as more restaurants are added to the Bink's family, but I found no evidence of that at all at our last visit. If you want an extraordinary and memorable dining experience, Binkley's Restaurant is still the best in the valley."

  • "I can't believe Binkleys isn't #1 in Phoenix, probably the remote location, away from all the high rollers in Scottsdale. Are they missing a treat! We drove 45 minutes to eat here and it was worth the hour and a half commute. Attentive but not obtrusive service, a nice selection of specialty cocktails, prix fixed or a la carte menu. We chose the smallest prix fixe dinner, four courses. One of us chose meat and one fish and we shared bites. We also got the wine pairing and there were very interesting and unusual choices. I lost count at ten amuses bouches/intermezzos, almost enough to make a light meal with just them. It's a small restaurant in a small strip mall in Cave Creek but I'd return in a minute next time we are in the area."

  • "A great place to try a new or different food and know that you can send it back because, you probably won't want to!"
    Dined on 3/11/2014
  • "We have been there several times, but were disappointed this time. The place is cramped and very busy and there are so many servers that there is a constant parade of people passing by. We had the 5 course tasting and while i do not expect large portions, the servings were miniscule. One course was so skimpy, there was not enough to actually taste the food. The others were a little better. Wine pairings are quite small as well. There was barely a mouthful in each pour. I did not care for my desert and the busboy who took it away did not even ask if there was something wrong with it. On the whole, we did not feel that there was value for our $300. This was with 2 drinks and 1 wine pairing."

  • "The cuisine at Binkley's is fit for royalty. The experience was memorable. This is a fabulous place for a very special dining experience. It ranks at the very top in dining experiences in AZ...and the USA."

  • "We had the great pleasure of dining at Binkley's in December 2013 and had one of the best meals we have ever had for an amazing price. (The pleasure to price ratio at Binkley's is very high indeed!) Recommended by a friend from Canada, we were very pleased we had decided to make a reservation while on vacation in Arizona. The staff were amazing and very friendly. They made the menu (and wine) selection so easy and we were very pleasantly surprised by the various add-ons and delicious extras included with the meal. Binkley’s was included on a recent list of the best restaurants in Arizona, and in our opinion it deserves to be at the top of that list. Highly recommended!"

  • "Wine guy was rud, brisk, way too fast, not friendly, did not explain anything in any kind of way a person could understand. Seemed to be in a rush to get to somewhere else."

  • "Celebrated my 60th birthday here getting away from east coast winter......For starters, Kendra was a delight as bartender and aficionado on the nuances of making GREAT martini's, icing on the cake was the anchovi stuffed olives for my tini ! Cosmo for Nini was best ever ! We did the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairings, phenomenal start to finish.....Spot prawns with asparagus, fresno chili, wasabi, and ginger-orange vinaigrette....crazy good !! Smoke pork consomme, I'm craving more as I write this ! Bone marrow crusted filet mignon, with almond-broccoli and crispy Serrano ham, palette pleaser alert ! I'm going back to Binkley's in 2 years celebrating being back there !"

  • "Very good service and interesting food. The tasting menu was well thought out and the main portions were especially good. The restaurant was a little loud to get the 5 stars, and some of the interim courses were only ordinary."

  • "To say this is one of the best places I've ever had the pleasure of dining is hardly adequate. I'd put Binkley's in the top ten restaurants in my world. I lived in Europe for a while and made it a point to go to as many Michelin starred restaurants as I could and I did many of them. Binkley's would command two stars at a minimum and more likely three. The set menu was five courses but that doesn't really describe it very well since we had at least four amuse bouches before the first of our two appetizers even arrived. I go to a place such as this to be amazed with what appears before me and I was certainly amazed here. If you have the $150/person to spend on a meal, this is a place where you can make memories."

  • "We still cannot believe that a restaurant was able to serve the barrage and variety of taste treat sensations that were on the highest end of our taste palate spectrum. Every snack/teaser in between our 4-course tasting were just as delectable as our main entree. INCREDIBLE! In the midst of great food quality and service the chef added the extra touch of making an artful display of the appetizers and desserts. We felt it was worth every dollar we paid for the way we were treated and the quality of food. You can go to a number of restaurants in the metro area and get a great entree, but you won't find a restaurant that has appetizers, desserts, cheeses and just off the meter concoctions that blow your mind! We will be back!"

  • "We went to this restaurant because we heard it was a restaurant we should not miss. The meal was an experience with the unusual tea served at the end of a tasting menu and the little bites were tasty but the mail course was disappointing. We had the octopus and my husband had the elk. Both were over cooked and very average. If you want to have great octopus try Sassi. This restaurant is very expensive. The food does not justify the prices."

  • "My husband and I went to Binkleys for my birthday. The food was tremendous. Went got the 4 course tasting along with wine pairing. I liked trying smaller portions of a lot of things. I would definitely do the tasting again but not the wine pairing. For an extra $40 I didn't think it was worth it. You got very little for a taste maybe 2 oz. and i didn't particularly like the wine that was paired up with the courses. All in all I would definitely go back to Binkleys for a special occasion. It is pricey but you are paying for the presentation."

  • "My husband and I have dined around the world---from Bora Bora to Paris to London to DC to Chicago. Binkleys is our favorite and the best restaurant we've ever encountered. The cuisine is creative, delicious, and memorable. The service impeccable with friendly, knowledgeable and classy wait staff who are smart and respectful. This restaurant is a hidden gem in the town of Carefree, located on a tiny strip mall near the local food bank and across from a car wash. Don't let this location deceive you. Binkley's is five star caliber you would find at the top of a magnificent hotel in a major city."

  • "I have been to Binkley's many times and never have written a review. So here it is. I have been all over the world to the best of the best and Binkley's is really deserving, Plaza Athenee Paris, Colleoni Dell Angello in Citta Alta Bergamo Italy, Miera in Lubeck Germany, Oliviers in Lisbon Portugal, but Binkley's is unique in it's approach and is an exceptional and deserving experience. It's wonderful tasting menu is fantastic in flavor and complexity, which for a 6 course tasting ends up with over 17 plates of food! Wine pairing is a must and expect a minimum of 3 hours to enjoy this experience. I have never been disappointed and always was surprised by something! The way fine dining should be."
