This is a corner "restaurant" in a nice hotel open But open to lobby. Noise level is high. Atmosphere looks like cafe, menu items are limited, portions are small (like a bistro) and prices are high for amount and ambiance. However the food is good. It's a great place to eat on the way to or from airport or if you are in hotel. It is also a good cafe for daytime dining.

"
If you prefer good food over a somewhat dated decor package, this is a really very good restaurant. If you are short, bring a pillow to sit on because the seats are very low as I observed one woman struggling to get her chin up to her plate. You need to know that it is a hotel restaurant that does not appear to have an independent sign outside.

The ambiance was great. We were seated immediately in a large, high backed booth that gave each group of guests privacy. The appetizers came out quickly and were delicious. The pancetta crisps were a perfect blend of salty with the sweetness of the pears, and the Ahi tuna was seared perfectly. The entrees came with huge portions and were absolutely amazing. I had the Chilean sea bass, and he had the NY strip steak. Both came out expertly cooked. After, we each had dessert. The chocolate cake was heavenly, and i found the banana spring rolls were inventive and an outstanding ending to my meal.

My husband and I thought the prices were too high for the items on the menu. For instance, meatloaf was $18, and was not very good. The caesar salad had romaine lettuce listed in the ingredients, and there was so much iceberg that it was difficult to find any romaine at all. The best thing we had was the sauteed spinach side dish.

Our waiter was very poor. The place was very slow so it did not seem he was too busy. We had our soup served before our wine was brought to the table. He was inattentive and this made for a sad valentines night out. The food was good but we will not be back.

Not too many nice restaurants in Davie/Plantation. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants attached to hotels, however it was great to be able to go just around the corner for a great meal in a nice atmosphere. I can't wait to take some of my friends for a cocktail and appetizers. They have a great bar area.
