  • "it was my first time there &'d considering that it was easter it was great, the food was great, the waiter was great, my overall experience was GREAT!"

  • "We chose Bimini Boatyard as a good meeting spot between family from Boca Raton and Miami, and it was a great selection. The menu was large enough to please everyone, the prices were fairly reasonable (avoid the Bimini bread, which is a ripoff), the service was terrific, and the view was lovely, although they couldn't accommodate us outside. Happy Hour at the bar is very reasonable, so if you arrive early (or even choose to eat there if there are just a couple of you), you can't go wrong. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant is quite nice, and the food ranges from good to very good. Our simplly-grilled fish was delicious. "

  • "Very attractive restaurant on the Intracoastal and near Port Everglades. Indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor deck overlooks the water so lots to see. Food good, service good and prices overall pretty good but one dessert - the Fruit Crisp - was $12! Not sure why as the other desserts were only $6. Other than that, it was a great meal and can recommend this restaurant."

  • "Once again, fantastic! Our out-of-town friends really enjoyed everything. Bimini Boatyard is the ultimate for Sunday Brunch! We will go again, and again, and again!"

  • "I have eaten here many times in the past and have typically found the food to be excellent. However, I have dined here two times recently and have found the food to be gloppy and bland. Last night I ordered mahi with an avocado salsa. It arrived smothered in tasteless pre packaged supermarket guacamole. My brother's fish Veracruz was equally bland and disappointing. It seems as though many stellar menu items have been removed and replaced with lackluster choices. Perhaps Bimini Boatyard has replaced their chef??? Not sure I will be returning. Very disappointed!"

  • "Just food- nothing to complain about and nothing to rave about. Even though the menu says you can have wood fired snapper, but the waitress admitted they don't cook it that way as it was too fragile. Tithe yellow snapper dish she suggested was barely OK. On the other hand my partners shark was excellent. The other members of our party had steaks that were OK. Service was good or better."

  • "Bad right from the start. I had placed an online reservation for 10PM. Upon arrival the hostess was on the phone for over 5 minutes before another hostess came to our aid. Immediately the waiter gruffly told us that the restaurant was closed. The hostess double checked and said that he was mistaken. We were then rushed into ordering. The Bimini Bread which has always been a highlight for me on any menu was supposed to be served with the famous whipped honey butter but was instead placed with frozen regular butter. I then ordered the swordfish pilar and my girlfriend ordered the helmsman's choice steak of some sort, medium I might add, which came out well done. My swordfish was a bland steak that sat on a bowl of beans. Utterly disappointing"

  • "Food was good, but for that price I was expecting something much better. Fish was a little dry and the sides were just average. Nothing that I could not find in a local Chilis. The desert was probably the best part. It was a huge chocolate cake, with ice cream. We couldn't eat it all. The server was nice and fast with our order. The ambience was quiet because it was early in the afternoon. In general it was a good experience, but not sure if I will come back. I believe I can find the same kind of food for almost half the price in another restaurant"

  • "We have dined at Bimini many times and it is always a wonderful experience. The brunch has everything you could possibly crave and the Bimini French toast melts in your mouth. Our favorites include the lobster Mac & cheese, Diane salad, mahi mahi, diver scallops, calamari, blackened swordfish.. even the burgers are delicious. There is a beautiful view when we dine outside and the service is always helpful but not intrusive. Definitely one of our favorite Ft. Lauderdale hot spots."

  • "I have always looked forward to a relaxing dinner sitting outdoors at the Bimimi. In a nutshell .... The fish was overlooked and dry. It was so dark no one could see the menus nor Our food when it came out so the orders came to out wrong. We COULD smell the warm UNICED oysters! They had no coffee to serve( don't take a reservation If you are going to shut down the kitchen and a sweep etc all around us. A disaster !!!!!"

  • "We recently had a business trip in the area and this place was within walking distance of our hotel. The food, atmosphere, and service were great. Was expecting a little more food for the price but that didn't take away from the experience. I would recommend this to anyone."

  • "Although one would think the Bimini Boatyard is more of a tourist attraction, the more one dines at the restaurant, the more one finds the variety of the seafood to be wide and the preparation excellent. Few restaurants can prepare a rare wood-fired salmon, and Bimini does just that. It appears that all of the fish and seafood dishes are the freshly prepared for each guest, which only adds to the flavor and presentation. Other than Saturday nights in tourist season, the service is consistently good, and the wait staff is attentive, even if no alcoholic beverages are ordered."

  • "this was loud, the waitstaff was either talking a mile a minute or standing around"

  • "Sunday brunch buffet was varied and excellent. Re-supplying it was slow, though. We had to wait for plates and food selections to be replenished. We specifically asked to be seated in a quiet place, and the patio was recommended. When we returned with our food, the singer arrived for his performance. He was not low volume and the three if us had difficulty conversing. The real disappointment was that our waiter was not around to clear our plates between our visits to the buffet. Each time we returned to the table, our finished plates were still sitting there. We removed them to a nearby planter pot. When the bill came, there was an automatic 18% tip included. For lousy service at a buffet, this was insulting. We will not be back."

  • "Thought we were in for a treat until we met our server. After goofing up two of the four drinks ordered, our server did a good job of explaining our entree choices. After expediter delivered food, we never saw our server until he was ready to bring us our bill. Seemed like our server was occupied with other tables in the restaurant. When we told him that there were two birthdays in our group, he said "oh, happy birthday". Most restaurant's do something for birthdays , anniverseries or special occasions ."

  • "Very good , fresh seafood. We all had delicious meals!"

  • "The food was good but the service was mediocre. The waiter seemed to always be in a rush to go somewhere else. We are going to go back and try it again. Maybe it was just an off night for that waiter."

  • "Food was great and the service was also, however the beer selection is limited (a 2010 selection of lite beers with only a couple of micro brews)"

  • "So so food. Unpleasant hostess. Efficient but detached waiter."

  • "Great food, great service, perfect everything...especially the Bimini bread. And you can bring your puppy with and sit outside."
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "Good overall service, but food was just average. Location is nice but if you don't sit outdoors or near a window , the atmosphere is lost."
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "The atmosphere outside is nice. The service was spotty but friendly. At the recommendation of our waiter, we ordered the grilled black grouper with crabmeat on top. The fish was so overdone it was like a hockey puck. The crabmeat was scant and tasteless. The "sauce" was canned tomatoes. It was served on skinny, overcooked asparagus. No starch was served with it. All for $32! The bimini bread is sticky & sweet like a cinnabon. Better to get it for dessert than to start a meal. The "chocolate mousse" dessert is chocolate cake. it was delicious & the best part of the meal. the special drink of the day was good but cost $15! No prices are given with any descriptions of specials by the servers."

  • "I booked this restaurant to celebrate my daughter' s birthday, specifically telling them that it was her birthday . And they didnot acknowledge it. She was disappointed and no one wants that. We were going out to have dinner to celebrate her special day. So for that reason alone I would not recommend this restaurant. All the food dishes we ordered were wood grilled which I don't like so be aware of that. We sat inside because it was a bit chilly but the patio is probably the best place to sit."

  • "I was very disappointed with several aspects of the $32.95 buffet. The fact that the little shrimp needed to be peeled and the bread tasted like more than 1 day old and they didn't offer any other kind of bread. The server was hardly around and then the establishment added a $10.00 tip is sad. I could never recommend this place. The only saving grace to this place is the pretty dockside view, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to land one of those, even though I had requested said seating. They had made no promise and said it was first come first served. I don't mind that, but, naturally when we were shown our table we passed 1 that looked open to me, but wasn't. Not open tables fault."

  • "We always love this 17th Street restaurant where the bar scene is popular with locals & tourists. The dining room areas & outdoor terrace are both good choices and the food is always delish. Our grilled shrimp & scallops over spaghetti squash was amazing as was the touch of crunchy tempura garnish. Others in our group also ate every bite of the Swordfish. Salads were crisp and the calamari was excellent. Enjoy the live music on Sarurday nights and free valet parking is a bonus."

  • "The restaurant was wonderful, our waitress was exceptional, food was great and the scenery was spectacular."

  • "For fresh fish and seafood, this is the place to go. Our salmon was grilled rara (as ordered) and the black grouper was grilled to a firm but moist doneness. The steamed mussels in a wine broth were plump and large. Recognizing it was a Saturday night in season, our dinner took two hours due to delays in the kitchen. When our main dishes finally arrived, the side dishes were all wrong and we were told that they had run out of asparagus "two hours ago" (before our order was placed). We never recieved the requested additinal salad dressing , and it took several attempts to obtain a spoon. The best bet is to vist during the week after 7:45 PM."

    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "We opted for outside seating. All tables had umbrellas over them which cut down on the moonlight. extremely dark. Had trouble reading the menu even with the small table candle. I had the blackened salmon which was very good. My daughter had the filet. She was very disappointed so we had to swap. it was tasteless and bland. They also didn't offer steamed broccoli ! Better restaurants with just as good views....won't return !"
    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "We thought the ambiance was lacking - too many hard surfaces and little character. Not terrible, just didn't hit us right given the entree prices. However, none of that mattered as our seafood entrees were quite good. Nicely prepared and cleanly presented. The house salads were bland - iceberg lettuce is gross, and the sweet bread was a gooey sugar bomb. I'd skip the bread - the carb count is already up there without the sugar, and save $4 bucks for a better drink;-) Despite this, we liked th place enough to return again."
